The renting was easy and people friendly. But on last day of renting the car battery was dead and caused me to miss my flight home. I went to rental office in airport and wanted to rent a car until tomorrow and thought I should be compensated due to the car not starting. The lady there said no because now I'm a walk in and price for 1 day rental was 289 dollars. I went to Thrifty.

The people here in Mesa were wonderful. Pick up was super. We started having a problem with the battery right away. When we got to Temecula, my son-in-law decided it was the operator and not the battery. We called the Hertz service line while in Temecula and they said if it starts not a problem they can’t come out. It has to be not starting so their service kinda sucks. We didn’t have to drive it much at all then we went to see my niece in San Diego. Again, we didn’t have to drive it at all while we’re there. However, on the way home we need to stop and one of my favorite little cities for a short period of time the store I wanted to see was closed and it would not restart. It took us two hours to find somebody that would give us a jumpstart in the meantime, my husband realized that a jumpstart , once we turned it off would not work because the battery light was on. He was able to find an auto parts store and buy a new battery. , once we turned it off would not work because the battery light was on. He was able to find a auto parts store and buy a new battery. The service we used was wonderful. No longer needing a jumpstart, he put the new battery and reconnected it and took care of us wonderfully. we are waiting to hear from Hertz for reimbursement for the almost $500. It cost us to get home and now Hertz has a brand new car battery in their car.

My experience was out of this world, due to the employees I had the chance to speak with. Specifically, the man who checked me in and out, as well as the other two employees in the office at the time. They were so warm, extremely accommodating, and absolutely turned my days around. I went in well to pick-up, and left knowing the day was one to be enjoyed. I came in today to drop off my car, feeling.. not the best! I left knowing the day was one to be enjoyed. They are truly amazing people.

The car was very comfortable. Although there were a few stains in the vehicle when we got it, and there was a slightly bad smell as well. But overall, we had a good experience.

The manager was nice

Cons:

They put me in a car that had a recall and after waiting 45 minute to get through the line, I ended up having to back out to get another car, which was a small SUV. Very different from the luxury car that I reserved and paid for.

The staff was the worst part. We won't rent from national again. Linda was awful and not just to me. She was awful to several other customers.

Cons:

The wait for the car pickup was 40 minutes even though we had a reservation.

Booked a car through kayak, got to the Avis location at the Mesa Airport and they told me they had 0 cars available. Guy behind the counter couldn’t care less it was 8pm, I had no car, just gave me a pamphlet on how to get a refund. How is this possible? I had reserved the car hours in advanced with a confirmation. Absolutely ridiculous. Had to spend $60 to uber home because “airport fees” as the uber driver described and I lived less than 10 miles away and still had to find another rental car. Ended up renting with Turo. Even with the fees, overall better experience.

I was lie too…. I what to split the bill. I was told not a problem, when I turn the car in I got a different story. Maybe Avis can help me with a discount rate for future use or reduce my car rental rate. I paid 821.00 for 13 days….. not happy !!!!!!!!! WH

The place was too far from airport. The waiting time was agonizing. There were too many hidden fees. I couldnt back out of the car since i had already waited an hour and a half and i was too far from the airport i just wanted the car and leave.

I had a great experience. Easy to find pick up location since they have signs everywhere. Drivers are nice and helpful and offered a water which was great after a flight. I arrived and was treated great. David was awesome, No pressure very nice and helpful! I returned car and the gentleman that received my car was also awesome, nice and very polite! I was worried because of the reviews but im glad i gave them a try. I would rent from them again.
