The renting was easy and people friendly. But on last day of renting the car battery was dead and caused me to miss my flight home. I went to rental office in airport and wanted to rent a car until tomorrow and thought I should be compensated due to the car not starting. The people here in Mesa were wonderful. Pick up was super. We started having a problem with the battery right away. When we got to Temecula, my son-in-law decided it was the operator and not the battery. We called the Hertz service line while in Temecula and they said if it starts not a problem they can’t come out. It has to be not starting so their service kinda sucks. We didn’t have to drive it much at all then we went to see my niece in San Diego. Again, we didn’t have to drive it at all while we’re there. However, on the way home we need to stop and one of my favorite little cities for a short period of time the store I wanted to see was closed and it would not restart. It took us two hours to find somebody that would give us a jumpstart in the meantime, my husband realized that a jumpstart , once we turned it off would not work because the battery light was on. The service we used was wonderful. No longer needing a jumpstart, he put the new battery and reconnected it and took care of us wonderfully. we are waiting to hear from Hertz for reimbursement for the almost $500. My experience was out of this world, due to the employees I had the chance to speak with. Specifically, the man who checked me in and out, as well as the other two employees in the office at the time. They were so warm, extremely accommodating, and absolutely turned my days around. I went in well to pick-up, and left knowing the day was one to be enjoyed. I came in today to drop off my car, feeling.. not the best! I left knowing the day was one to be enjoyed. I booked at Sky Harbor. Somehow the reservation ended up at Mesa Gateway. Sky Harbor Hertz did nothing to help me. Offered a car 4 times the price. I too Uber and will not use Hertz again in the future.Reviewed Nov 15 2021
