The building is beautifully restored and historic. Breakfast was very good. As I have found with most European hotels, there are no tea/coffee making facilities and no guests laundry facilities.
The hotel was fantastic, in an excellent location. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely and the room was lovely. Would definately stay again and would have no reservation at all in recommending it to anyone.
Great location, 20 minute walk from all the must see sights. Hotel itself was top notch. Room overlooking the garden was stunning, and service was exemplary. Free parking, delicious breakfast, and courteous staff. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic atmosfare, prima location and exelent staff
Beatifuly monestry conversion building, very well refurbished and decorated. All hotel staff were extremely helpful. Many good restaurants around the area. It was off-peak season and value for money was even better! We had really nice & quiet stay.
building of hotel, quiet kind atmosphere , style of decoration, breakfast, sigghtseeing from the roof sightseeing from windows at the reparing building
It is a beautiful hotel located in the wonderful area of Trastevere. The staff were excellent and very helpful.
Everything! I keep telling everyone what an exceptionally wonderful hotel this is. I've been to wonderful hotels in the past but I've never enjoyed any of them as much as I enjoyed Donna Camilla Savelli. The hotel crew members were so friendly courteous and kind. Location is great, not too crowdy but still close enough to all the attractions. I will definitely come again. Nothing!
This new hotel is in a delightful area and is an oasis of calm and gentility. It has been lovingly and tastefully restored. There are many good restaurants nearby. The room was perfect - elegant, comfortable, with every need catered for and was kept immaculately clean. The staff both in reception and the breakfast room were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. An integral restaurant would be a welcome addition and we understand this is in the planning. Seating in the secluded courtyard garden would be an advantage.
The hotel is quietly situated in a picturesque, lively and interesting part of the city away from the more popular tourist areas but nevertheless within easy reach of most of the principal sights. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping exceptional. Although the restaurant was not yet open, we found plenty of good ones close by.
The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The ambience of the hotel was very relaxing, historical and high quality. The cost of drinks was rather high and it would have been relaxing to have a larger bar area. If the weather permitted, the rooftop would have been very delightful. The location was fabulous as we love to walk and uncover the area and supurb restaurants. Small area for coffee and drinks. Banging shutters at night.
Good location, nice room, friendly helpful staff (for the most part)
the worst hotel in the world bunch of maffia trying to rip you off
Slightly out of town and away from the bustle, but close enough to walk and see all of the sights
The location was out of the city centre itelf yet readily accessible using buses the routes of which were all described by the staff at the hotel. Good selection from the buffet breakfast and lots of healthy options too. The clr=eaners made the room daily to a very high standard. A whopping 10% surcharge for using travellers cheques..!!! Staff very stroppy when challenged about this, the pool was freezing and completely unuseable and we couldn't use the hotel bar as there was a private function on every night..! Also, the shower screen leaked water all over the bathroom floor which the staff we not interested in fixing. All in all. The staff we only interested in doing their job to a minimum and did not want to go out of there way for anything to help..! This may just be an Italian trait as this seemed to be the norm across the city.
I liked the breakfast each morning and the relaxing courtyard. The location was nice. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.
The fantastic pool after a day's siteseeing. Evening drinks in the lovely garden. The location out of the traffic and crowds of Rome city, but only a short, pleasant walk to St. Peters and the Vatican. The small room , with a "view" of the restaurant roof. Very claustrophic.
very good location, not far from the vatican, the swimming pool is a godsent
lovely clean fresh room with a great veiw breakfast was excellent staff very helpful and friendly shame that the bar shut early on a saturday night as the garden was lovely and we came back at 1030 to sit in garden and enjoy a drink and coffee only to find it was closed so went to bed thirsty. also taxi driver drove way to fast using his mobile phone very scary journey to the airport. However driver from the airport was lovely
The pool, all staff EXCEPT reception, food quality, breakfast The hotel is very nice - lovely grounds and beautiful pool. The pool staff, housekeeping, and bellhops were excellent. They all made a special effort to be kind and friendly, especially to our young son. The food was delicious (room service and by the pool), and the breakfast outstanding. Lots to choose from and freshly prepared. Also no matter what time we went to breakfast everything was fully stocked. Room size, Reception staff, location, food price, wi-fi There were three of us and our room was TINY. So small, in fact, that we didn't have space to open more than one suitcase at a time. They should have been ashamed of themselves for putting us the room they did. The wi-fi was ATROCIOUS. It didn't work by the pool at all, and barely worked in the rooms - constantly dropping off. And they would give us a daily user-id and password which was a hassle. The hotel didn't offer any sort of information book, so when we got to our room we had no idea how things worked - the pool, breakfast, wi-fi, tv, etc. We had to ask questions constantly, and the reception staff was not forthcoming with information (we got an eye roll once). The hotel is a bit too far away from main Rome attractions to make it possible to walk both to and from things, which added a lot to our stay since we ended up taking a taxi at least one direction (at 20 euro a pop). That said, it's in a lovely residential area that was quiet and very close to the Trestavere district, which was nice. Lastly, while the food at the bar was delicious, it is VERY pricey with not many options.
Gardens and location Lack of a restaurant
Great location, nice garden area to sit in. Breakfast was well done, as well as afternoon tea. Rooms were rather small. Meals at the hotel would have been convenient, but very pricey.
