Hidden charges

Pros: Car was fine. Employees and airport setup were horrific.

Cons: The price at pickup was higher than the quoted price on the internet then on drop off they wanted to nitpick about time. Ended up paying $50 more. So low price may not be honored.

False advertising

Pros: Did not even use my kayak reservation or thrifty bc when I picked up the car, I was told that I did not have unlimited mileage, even though my reservation email specifically stated I did. They wanted to charge me .25 per mile anything over 1,200 miles. I rented with another company with unlimited miles for a slightly higher price. Good thing too, we put 2000 miles on car.

Pros: The car I received was nice.

Cons: When I picked my car up at the Omaha airport, I was told my rental would be over $20 more than the reservation price I was given on Kayak. She said it was extra taxes and fees - even though my reservation price included both and the dates/times had not changed. Frustrated, I went to a different clerk and was given a different price, $8 over my confirmation price. Tried to scare me into super expensive insurance too, and wanted to charge an extra $10/day to have a second driver?!?! SCAM! Will not rent from them again.

Pros: Everything. I was traveling with my 85 year old mother. They brought the car to us at the airport, and when we dropped the car off they made sure we got to where we needed to get to safely. Thrifty if the BEST!!

Thank you Thrifty!

Pros: I had a reservation with Dollar who I rarely use, but the lady at the counter nonchalantly informed me that they could not give me a car since I was traveling out of town. The website said nothing about that. I went down to Thrifty who I use a lot and the gentleman at the counter helped me quickly and gave me a better deal than Dollar was going to give me. I appreciate that he didn't use my situation to "stick it to me". I will never go with anyone but Thrifty again when I need to rent a car.

Cons: The car was loud inside but that is not the fault of Thrifty, that's just the way the car was made. I had no issues with Thrifty.

Rate change

Pros: I listed midnight for the pickup, not realizing that this changed the day so you jumped the rate by $150. Really disappointed.

No car available that we reserved

Cons: Tire went flat when my wife was 10 miles from pick up and they charged us for a full size as they said that was the only car available. We rent once a month from drifferent rental companies we will never use them again!

Cons: I was at the airport to pick up the rental car at 6:00 AM when the desk was to open. I waited till 6:18 and went to National and rented a car from them at a higher price. While renting the National car the Thrifty agent finally showed up and could of cared less that he had just lost a rental and had put me behind schedule by 25 to 30 minutes which actually put me further behind as I had to encounter rush hour traffic.
