Wish the flight attendants didn’t talk so much and so loud on the speaker. Captains gave updates which was nice!

I booked a flight SJC to ORD. It included a layover in LAX. I had to transfer my own baggage and pay for baggage twice!
No individual TV screens. So you must have a device like an iPad or a phone or a laptop to connect to their media service. Movie selection was mediocre at best. A lot of useless programming in my opinion. Also had a first, was asked to put my mask on between sips of a drink. That’s the first I’ve ever heard of that! We ate out every meal for a week straight and no one asked us wants to mask up between bites or sips. Nor did other Alaska flights ask us to mask up between sips. Thought it was pretty ridiculous.
I missed a connection due to a 4 hour maintenance delay. The worst part is that I can't even attempt to rebook the flight because there is no way to contact Iberia. The desks were closed because there were no more flights that day. They never answer the help line or facebook. I simply cannot, in any way, even get ahold of a person to help me rebook this flight that cost 1000 dollars and was ruined by the fault of the airline. So I am stranded in LA right now, frantically trying to get ahold of anyone from Iberia to help me get to Spain.
One of the hardest landings I’ve been a part of. Also seats are terribly uncomfortable and we sat on the taxiway for 30 extra minutes because there were no gates available.

I happened to be able to go in with the general boarding but was one of those who was first in line within this group. My seat which was 5C already had no overheard room!!! It appears that 1 child was accompanied by 4 adults when they pre-boarded and in addition to their carry-ons, they put their foldable stroller, backpacks and totes in the overhead bin!! The airline announced a request for people to leave the overhead bin spaces for bigger carryons but does not enforce it. Flight attendants should not feel uncomfortable actually asking to whom the backpack or tote belong to and tell passengers to put those under their seats. Somehow, passengers need to be educated on proper etiquette. Also, pre-boarding should only allow 1-2 people to accompany a child or an elderly person. Pre-boarding should not be taken advantage of by all adults traveling with those needing it."

Cons: "In the SF airport, your crew accepted me to pay for $25 for putting my suitcase into the plane. But then, she mentioned that the flight was delayed and there was no way that I can made my connection from LA to Indianaplis. So I was given a boarding pass with my suitcase ($25 paid) only to LA. The front desk asked me to try other ways when I arrived LA to see what can be done. When I entered into the gate, your CS changed my flight to UA after I have presented my case. However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."

Cons: "I arrived at the SFO at 715. I checked in and went straight to my gate. After sitting in the gate area just a few minutes, the women at my flight desk announced a delayed flight(flight would depart at 10 instead of 855) The asked that passengers come retrieve their meal vouchers. She checked my boarding pass and I went and ordered myself dinner and returned to sit down close to 9pm. I waited for the screen to change for the new flight information but it never did. The terminal was busy with music and basketball finals.lost of mumbling announcemrnt so I kept checking my flight screen and it still had the original flight. I sat waiting. All of a suddent the tv changes and it’s a different destination??? I got up and asked why my flight wasn’t posted and she told me ‘sweetheart your flight left 20minutes ago.’ I was shocked. How could this happen? She informed me i’d missed my flight that was never delayed. I was so tired and worried and she kept calling me sweetheart. Telling me there were mo more flights but that she’d put me on a 6am the next morning. With my disability I was so worried I pushed and pushed and spoke to both counter airling people. Finally, I got mad and she put me on united. I am so upset about the whole ordeal. That was a surreal awful experience that had me crying on the way home."

Cons: "Because video playback system was inoperable (not an issue for me—I am happy to read during the flight) the young crew had to perform safety announcements manually but were obviously ill-practiced and inexperienced at this, bungling their reading and even seeming not fully to understand the words. (They also botched announcing introductions of the pilot and crew, not seeming confident who was on board or as if they in fact knew their names.) This was of course unprofessional but also introduced doubt how reliable they would be in an actual emergency."

Cons: "Boarding attendants announced that the flight was delayed just 10 minutes before boarding time because of weather. Flight was from Seattle to Los Angeles and the weather was clear on the flight path. Two hours later, an announcement was made that it was actually because of congestion at the airport (poor planning) and yet, they did not offer anything to the passengers for the inconvenience. We boarded the plane two hours late, only to sit on the tarmac for another 40 minutes. This situation could have been handled so much better by Alaska Airlines."

Especiallly helping the elder and special needs clients on the flight. This was touching and emotional, since one of the passengers seemed paralyzed from a stroke and her husband was doing the best he could helping her to the bathroom. My mother in law suffered the same parálisis, so this hit home. My husband and I were also surprised to see all of the Manzanillo Airport crew waving good bye as the flight took off. This flight felt special."

I called customer service and was told I would be given a refund for all the trouble my cancelled flight was causing making me late for work and my ride being unable to pick me up at the new landing time. I never received a refund and my rebooked flight got cancelled. I almost didn't get home on that flight either, but the customer service agent found me a seat. I never received a refund and I missed out on pay at work. I never want to fly Alaska again!"

Cons: "I had paid for a nonstop flight at a certain time to get home for an important meeting, but because I booked through a third party they said I was going to be bumped to another flight that would get me home over 12 hours later WITH a layover. That's frankly not what I paid for. That makes me not want to ever book with a third party again. I don't appreciate not getting what I pay for. Eventually someone took a voucher and I was able to get on the flight, but I'm still upset because, as the customer, I did nothing wrong. Just book the proper amount of seat for the proper amount of people. So frustrating."

Cons: "Board information, no page for boarding, we just happened to show at the boarding desk and was informed they have loaded earlier. We were boarding earlier then estimated time. After boarding and seated we were in formed we had a additional waiting time due to unprepared passport issues with customs and we had to wait for several other passengers. Our flight was held for additional 50 minutes. I was not impressed! I was very unhappy with the flight attendant stating sorry we don't have other options for food. They were out of food to buy except children option. This airline was chosen because I thought it was rated as a clean, friendly, reliable,relaxing flight . Seats are hard,stiff and uncomfortable. My back was aching before we got in flight. Windows were discussing gross with body fluids on them. I'm very sorry to say I would not recommend this Alaska airlines to anyone. Very unhappy and disappointed. I hope this will be addressed. Passengers should not have to sit in a flight seat sounded by filth. I would have expected my Mexico flight might have been this way but not my return flight in the states."

Cons: "As someone who has meticulously traveled the world over on Google Earth, i was enthralled to finally get to do it in real life. I was looking to bring up a GPs trackers or some kind of map application so i knew where i was flying over. I couldn't gain any access to any type of application due to GPS restrictions. This might be a rule for plane rides that i'm not aware of however."

Cons: "They kept canceling flights even though other flights were going out of Seattle and landing in Bozeman. But the gate agents were promising that the next flight wasn't gong to be cancelled and that I was going to have a seat, so I didn't book another flight from Seattle to Bozeman on a different carrier. So I spend 3 full days waiting at the boarding gate with the gate agent saying boarding would begin in 30 minutes the whole time. Finally they just sent me back home to Oakland. I missed my last chance to see my grandfather alive. He just passed away. To add insult to injury, they they wouldn't refund the ticket because I "used" the ticket for a lovely vacation to the Seattle airport for 3 days."

Pros: "I fly Alaska airlines frequently. Rarely are they not on time. The crew are very friendly. I did not purchase any of the food items this time. However, I have enjoyed the cheese platter on previous flights. Most of my flights are short (San Francisco to Palm Springs) so only water is served and purchased drinks. Alaska has a fantastic mileage plan and the bonus is the "companion tickets". Alaska airlines is one of the few that has a "price guarantee." I would not consider another airline unless Alaska does not have that route."
Cons: "I carry photo equipment in a carry on bag because of expense, damage control and temperature control. Unfortunately I can not leave it for baggage people to handle (although I would love to.) When I got my carry on to the greeting flight attendant I explained I had just finished a shoot and I was sorry that I needed to keep the bag as carry on. Flight Attendant: there was nothing she could do and I needed to go back down the stairs, even though people were still boarding and leave it with the baggage people. Me: "In the past the flight attendant put the bag in that closet." (I pointed to the locked closet where they keep their bags.) Flight Attendant: I cant open it because it's locked. Me: "The key is kept there." (I pointed to where the key is kept. I know because I've done this trip so many times before.) Flight Attendant: "See if it will fit under your seat." It did... but I had my knees in my chin for the entire flight. Thanks, Ann"
Delayed with no updates and zero taking care of passengers
On both my flights to and from Cabo, my flights were over an hour delayed.
They are misleading, rude and deceitful.
Pros: "The crew and leg room are really good compared to comparable flights on United, Delta or American. Especially love the power plug behind the seats."
Cons: "Couldn't watch any movies, and most of the DirectTV movies would not play. I was in seat 24 F, and 24 E had the same issue. They told us the reset the system, but it didn't help. Still, plenty of entertainment and on an actual screen on the back of the seat. So I consider it only a dissapointment on an otherwise good airline."

Cons: "My flight was delayed because an attendant had to be swapped out, then the replacement was stuck in traffic for an hour (why not have all attendants ready on-airport?). Comically, we taxied on the runway for over an hour, which caused more delays with the plane needing to be de-iced. Figured I'd put all that behind me, but then the flight experienced one of the worst turbulences I've been in. We jerked through the skies many times, and the pilots weren't reassuring. Thankfully we landed okay, but not after being late by multiple hours. Also, JetBlue needs to invest in its planes, esp. its Couch section. I felt like a pretzel with on room to breathe."
Cons: "My main comment is that the wi-fi didn't work for all passengers. One of the reasons I flew this airline was because they promise reliable wi-fi on the flight and despite multiple attempts to troubleshoot, it never worked."

Poor customer service as no one was willing to help with WiFi set up on the way going since I’ve never flown them. Luckily I found 1 nice flight attendant and he helped point me in the right direction in set up. Overall not impressed with service and performance of this carrier."

That was annoying. I’m bored of the JetBlue snack selection it’s been the same for years."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed three hours because of air conditioning malfunctioning on the plane. We sat on the tarmac for almost two and a half hours, and it must have been around 85 degrees on the plane. There was a lot of miscommunication about whether we would be switching aircraft. They finally told us to deplane because we were probably going to switch planes. After 15 minutes in the terminal, we reboarded the same plane. Got to LA 3 hours late so had to deal with horrible rush hour traffic, which we had hoped to avoid had we taken off on time."

When I use the Wi-Fi for the Amazon prime option it was very spotty and had to reload quite a bit during the flight from JFK to LAX. They are by Miss clean the staff was good but the entertainment system and the movie choices were very old and not really very interesting."

Cons: "TSA held me up with a 30 minute bag check so I arrived for an 11:30 AM flight at 11:16 AM. I was told that because I was a minute late they wouldn't let me on even though the plane was still in the runway and connected to the terminal. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the agent disappeared for 10 minutes while the plane took off. I then went to go speak to a customer service agent who wouldn't even look at me while I spoke. She actually started listening to and talking with another agent while I was talking to her. Then when I was finished, she started arguing with me until another agent said "he's not worth it." JetBlue just lost my business."
On time.. crew very attentive. Flight was on time
Boarding was on time (if not a little early). The flight was unfortunately not properly catered for snack boxes in main cabin. This is likely a one off instance, but it’s a long flight for no food options other than pretzels and Biscoffs. Service was attentive and friendly. This particular flight offered Delta’s DeltaOne lay flat first class seats. Would highly recommend. Flight left on time and arrived early!

Got back to SD 4 hours after scheduled time."

My husband is 6'8" and has no choice but to pay another crazy fee to have a couple more inches of space."

The course of the flight was also uncomfortable due to certain passengers that wouldn't cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing. I even offered the individual cough drops and they had denied them and continued hacking. Then when landing in Orlando we had to wait to be taken to our gate. We were told that we were supposed to go to gate 97 but there was an American Aircraft in that location so we had to wait for another gate for 20 minutes. I know those last 2 events aren't really under the control of Sun Country, but still it was a pain."

Flight delayed out of MCO cost me my connecting flight to PDX. Held up in a hotel in Phoenix…
We arrived early, then sat on the runway for almost an hr. I then missed my connecting flight.
The flight itself was good. Unfortunately I somehow found myself surrounded by 2 rows of families with small children. I had about all of the seat kicking and yelling that I could take for 3ish hours straight. Kinda wish the staff could have intervened somehow.

Cons: "I noticed there was a disagreement/issue between a passenger and the aircrew, but it was handled quickly when the passenger just left. I understand there are some issues sometimes, but I noticed attitude from three of the flight attendants during the flight. There were three teens in the back that kept rambling about how all planes have bombs, everyone there was turbulence we could go into a spiral, the plane engines could blow up, etc. It was clearly making passengers uncomfortable because they kept turning around and one lady even yelled at them. I'm honestly shocked the flight crew never said anything to them. I wasn't too worried, except that they ruined any chance to get some rest."

This does not seem very considerate of our health during a Pandemic especially with their messaging about social distancing. They also did a very poor job of keeping people patient in the deplaning process. They should have better messaging and a very non threatening way of encouraging passengers to be patient and courteous. Maybe they good offer each passenger a choice some type of goodie like a mint or a chocolate that says "please enjoy this while you wait for others to exit the plane"."
Cons: "Several people got on the flight with no face mask on. The flight was completely packed, there was no distancing at all. The boarding process required me to walk past everyone as my chair was in the back and I was last group to board (unlike other airlines that have switched to back to front boarding to reduce people coming in contact with each other) As I walked down the PACKED plane mot people had masks on incorrectly (hanging off one ear, down around their chin, nose out, etc.) some people had no mask at all and the flight attendants did nothing. It seems like they were doing nothing to keep passengers safe from COVID-19 spread. Compared to Delta, American Airlines was terrifying to fly, I find not feel safe at all."

However the Phoenix to Eugene leg used Boingospot but there was no card in the seat pocket explaining what needed to be put in your browser to access the entertainment portal. There were only two flight attendants on the flight and, aside from the drink service, no one ever came to the back of the plane so I could ask the question. I could have used the call button but I think that should be saved for emergencies. I think the information on how to access the inflight entertainment should be in every seat pocket"
Cons: "I always have preferred American Airlines but they seem to have constant problems with the aircraft these days. This causes delays and missed connections. This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home."
Pros: "The trip started off poorly with a day delay and rebooking hotel and car at final destination. Not to mention our final destination is San Antonio not Phoenix. We were not rebooked for a flight from PHX to SAT. But after a few hours we were finally booked. We didn’t really appreciate the 7 hour layover at 0100 in the morning and nowhere to get a meal or even coffee. However, the flight had the same crew from the night prior and they were excellent. The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on."
Cons: "We were ok with the hotel and meal vouchers however, again, the only part of our itinerary looked at was the first flight, not the second into SAT. Had we not questioned the agent, we would have been stuck in PHX with no room, no car, and if we eventually would have gotten a flight, our reservations for car and hotel in SAT would have been cancelled and I would have been out $1700. I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future."

The airline finally posted that it would depart a 4 PM and we didn't even start boarding until 5PM. Then they tried to rush us on so that everyone was standing on the HOT jetway for 10 min waiting to get on the plane. Plane didn't take off til 5:35 PM. Over all on this trip I had three flights that were delayed. I'll think twice before taking American Air again."

This was all totaled 2.5 hours on the Tarmac. Finally, some 5 hours late we departed Miami in a different plane. Upon arrival in Phoenix, the captain wearily announced that there was no ground crew awaiting us, so we had to wait some time on the tarmac there to disembark. Never before had I heard a airline captain encourage the passengers to write a letter of complaint to his employer."

Cons: "I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

They sat there and watched me for an hour not telling me I could not use cash to check in my luggage at the gate after they told me it was double the amount to check it in at the gate. The sight u use on the boarding pass u download on the phone is not clear. It says baggage fee +$25.00. I thought it was 25.00 till the women in Phoenix showed me the + sign. She said “it is confusing”. I did not buy the ticket because it was for an unexpected funeral of my sister. My other sister did so I didn’t see all the stuff from Travelocity. After telling me it would be $50.00 the check in male and female at the gate saw me sitting there for an hour and never told me I couldn’t pay cash. By the time it was boarding time if a nice woman did not offer to use her credit card and I have her the $50 cash I would have missed my flight. The manager at the gate in Portland even told me I would miss my flight. The two check in staff at the gate said “well we didn’t know you only had cash” and they weren’t even concerned that I was going to miss my flight. It would of been nice of them to tell me this when I sat there for an hour after they told me They we’re doubling the price. I would of had time to go back through security, only pay $25.00 and the other nice passenger would have not had to use her credit card. Very rude and poor service especially after a sad occasion of burying your sister!"

Cons: "There is not enough space to list everything. I paid $800 for a normally $300 flight, then paid an extra $75 for the ability to board early so I could store my very small roller carry-on. The in-bound flight was 2 hours late and even though I could track that easily, and assumed our flight would also be two hours late, the AA website insisted the outbound flight would be on time. So like everyone else, I went to the airport. And it wasn't until just before the original departure time that the update was indicated. Really?? If I knew the flight was going to be two hours late,that means AA knew, and didn't care enough about their passengers to advise them. Then when we boarded, my bag was taken away for gate check because the flight did not allow roller bags. After I paid extra. How can AA not advise you when you book your flight that roller bags would not be allowed?? Talk about a money-grab. I unfortunately have a return ticket and am not wealthy enough to throw it away and book on another airline, but I would if I could. I will never fly AA again and I will share my story far and wide."

The food is was gone so quickly that by the time they got to us, they were out of everything. Oh did I mention we also had 3 children ages 2, 7, and 9. Oh yes and the entertainment? Small screens mounted on the ceiling of the plane. How about updating your equipment?? Plane was old. No USB to charge your phone and stream from their App. Terrible. We own a 2nd home in Maui and travel there twice per year. Looking at other options."

The canceled flight was due to weather, but AA's response was to connect those of us stranded with a 3rd party vendor - Travelliance - with the promise of a SUBSTANTIAL discount for a hotel (SINCE THE NEXT FLIGHT I WAS GIVEN WAS 17 HOURS LATER!) - and there was, effectively, NO DISCOUNT. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with you over the years, but this was a bucker of water in the face. I'm sure I'll fly with you again, but any sort of good will I held for AA is gone."
Cons: "Having a fat person take up half your seat shouldn't be allowed. They should buy 2 tickets if they take up 2 seats"
Cons: "Delay, first told it was weather related, then mechanical. Re booked on a flight by AA that would never make connection. Paid over $1,000 for a flight leg that one way and direct on another airline (Alaska air) was $281.00 and the agent took so long to find redirect flight that they couldn't book. Total mess! While struck on the second leg and speaking with AA customer service about the reschedule I was told that they didn't have the ability to rectify the error because they no longer had control of my ticket and that I had to take into consideration that three was an event in San Antonio that caused delays network wide that added tio the initial issue... HOGWASH! 1) it was another AA issue where an AA aircraft drive of the runway while I was in flight on the first errant leg. 2) if they had just been straight from the outset, I wouldn't have been delayed. I will never fly AA AGAIN!"
Pros: "The food, in flight entertainment and attention to detail by the Flight Attendants was very good."
Cons: "The personnel handling the front desk at check in gave myself and others bad information about how to check a bag. Which resulted in me being called to the desk at the gate about 30 minutes prior to boarding and being told I screwed up checking my bag when I was just following the instructions given to me. Was then told I had to leave the secure area of the airport, go back to the front to check my bag all within 30 minutes of boarding. when I returned thru the TSA checkpoint they were rude, obviously, but more importantly the flight was boarding early. So you could've 1. told me what the actual procedure is for checking my bag instead of telling me "just leave it by the green lit up check mark then 2. told me at the gate that not only do i need to go fix your mistakes for you but that youd also board my flight early thereby putting me in jeopardy of missing my flight. all i got was a very insincere apology when I complained up front and at the gate about the airline's screw up. i get that you're all human like me and make mistakes but the customer is always right. there was a time in this country when customer appreciation and service were important standards and qualities businesses thrived on. Don't know what happened to those days... Also i should not need to be a first class passenger to get a meal during a flight. whatever happened to meals for everyone? you (all airlines in the US) charge way too much money and provide poor service compared to pre-9-11 days. I dont see how one event can justify the loss in service but the increase in ticket price. you should all get back to what flying should be about: fun and time saving."
Pros: "Airline and crew looked after us and kept us informed. My app said the flight was delayed but the captain didn't seem to know this so we sat for half an hour or more after planned departure. Maybe he hoped to get an earlier slot. We were 30 mins late in the end."
Cons: "No food for purchase, just a drink and biscuit."
Pros: "Liked the little compartment above the tray for electronic devices and the outlet below helped keep my grandsons tablet charged for the flight! Liked the headrest - had flaps that folded out for support if you needed a nap."
Cons: "There was no food offered. The stewardess was not happy to be at work."

Cons: "The first leg of my flight left an hour earlier than scheduled, and I was never notified. Fortunately I found out when I went to "check in" the night before, and was able to arrange for earlier transportation to the airport."
Pros: "It was a flight, it got me from point A to point B, but everything in between could've been much better."
Cons: "When first boarding the plane, the person I was with tried to close the shade on the window, the with frame and the first 2 pieces of glass popped out. We notified the flight attendant and his response was "can you stick your arm out the window and wave? No... ok you're fine" then we were notified the bathrooms in the middle of the plane were out of order and we could only use the bathrooms at the rear of the plane. There was no WiFi, and the audio system for the on board movies wasn't working. The flight attendants were only giving out cups of beverages and not the full can, which isnt a big deal but still looks bad on the airline considering everywhere flight with American has handed out full cans of soda. The perception was American dropped the ball on the his plane, and just didn't care to do the necessary maintenance. For the his head priced paid for the his hehe see tickets I would've expected better from a reputable airline. Needless to say we were a little disappointed."
Pros: "The staff tried to help as much as possible."
Cons: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."
Pros: "I did not like anything about the flight to be honest. Oh wait you did have cool club lights that were blue that tried to distract me from the fact that I had to take an American airlines flight."
Cons: "Holy moly. You know if you stopped charging extra money for checked baggage you wouldn't have a ridiculously annoying amount of customers with too many bags for overhead storage. Then you wouldn't have to threaten your customers to store their small bags under the seat. Then I would have room for my feet under the seat. When I would have been comfortable. I also wouldn't have to annoy my neighbor with trying to move and get comfortable. But instead the exact opposite happened and I'm offended you guys have America anywhere near your name."
Pros: "JoMarie was very helpful at LGB. And we eventually arrived at our destination."
Cons: "This was a horrible travel experience, the worst I have ever known. My uncle had died, so I had to search for the soonest and most economical flight in order to attend the funeral. Traveling with me was my aunt (his ex wife) and my cousin (his only daughter). Our initial flight was delayed 'due to mechanical issues' and they said we weren't going to make our connection in Phoenix. So they had to reroute the whole trip, which took about half an hour because all of the flights were full. So instead of flying from LGB - PHX - CLT - CAE and arriving Saturday night, we ended up departing from LAX (which we specifically were trying to avoid) almost 9 hours later. From there to DEN - CLT - GSP arriving Sunday morning. Because of this I had to contact the hotel and let them know that we weren't going to check-in until the next day, but I still ended up having to pay for Saturday night. Then, I had to cancel the rental car and make a new reservation to pick it up at GSP and return at CAE since the hotel was close to CAE, plus the return flight was through CAE. Also, wifi was an additional cost (which we didn't use because of this), the snacks were pitiful, and the seats were very narrow and uncomfortable. I have flown with JetBlue in the past, but on this occasion, last minute flights to South Carolina were prohibitively expensive. That being said, if I had known how bad the experience with American was going to be, I would have gladly paid literally double the price for the JetBlue tickets. And in the future, I will be flying exclusively with JetBlue no matter what the cost."
Pros: "The lady sitting next to me was nice to talk to - that's about it"
Cons: "The whole experience was terrible. The airport gate terminal was chaotic. While boarding, I am told I have to check my bag because apparently the flight was overbooked and there was no room for my carryon. We finally get on the plane and are told by the pilot that we have to stop for fuel - MID FLIGHT!!! I have never had a pilot stop to fuel up in the middle of a flight. And he told us it would take 10 minutes. It took an hour and a half!!!!!!!It completely derailed my connection flight. I missed it and was rescheduled, but wasn't told anything. I get to my new connection flight - that wasn't leaving for another 2 hours mind you - and ask the lady about my bag, because I was nervous it wouldn't get there with the flight change. Her response - "Well, they knew where you were going, right?""
Cons: "They changed my flight at the last moment and my connection was 2 hours delayed"
Pros: "My flight was delayed and this is the second time Emerican airline will not give us at least food vouchers to help us out. The receptionist act careless about your situation, I'm still Stuck in Phili where I wa supposed to meet my connection flight, I had to spent the night at the airport!!! American air line is know for this type of dilemma, I will never again fly with American again. I just don't understand how they are not liable for anything at all!!!"
