Pros: the girl at desk,,the one that rented me the car told me the car I wanted was not available so I had to agree on a different vehicle...the girl in the lot knew what she was doing.She got me the vehicle I wanted.. There were many of them out there.she is good for the company....The girl behind desk gave the impression she could care less.

Cons: The pick-up experience was atrocious. I do not recommend this MEM airport location. Staff was exceedingly rude.

Apparently a reservation doesn't mean you'll have a car
Cons: I'll make this easy: I had a reservation, and when I got to the desk they told me they were all out of cars. I ultimately had to go with Herz, who did have cars, and charged me a high price for renting a car without a reservation. I will never attempt to do business with Alamo ever again.

Alamo Is A Great Value
Pros: We really liked the low prices for the daily rental. We liked that they gave us a brand new Jeep Cherokee vehicle. Very fast check in and return. I will remember Alamo - this experience 'stood out'

Cons: Agent should clearly show in advance what the best option is for gas replacement. Ambiguity there was extremely annoying. Needs to completely avoid feeling like being sold something more than necessary.

Skip the Counter
Cons: After going through the skip the counter process online, my car was not at the garage to pick-up (there were no Alamo cars in the garage). Took an additional 20-30 minutes to get resolved.

Pros: Fredde at the pick up was extremely nice and accommodating! The guy at drop off - not so much.
Cons: The guy at drop off acted like he didn't even want to take care of my return.

Bait and Switch
Pros: The car I reserved was not ready. I was given upgrade.
Cons: Getting to counter and informed of a $300 deposit hold on my credit card effective the day before. Poor tactics. Poor. Just disclose that information upfront. Contance

Quick and easy
Pros: My size car was available, process was done in about 15-20 minutes. Great rate on a SUV only thing a $150 deposit required even with my credit card.

Cons: The van is too small. Please invest in a larger van. The rear seats are too small.

Pros: I liked the ease of drop off. I loved that I was greeted by someone. It was also comforting to hand the keys to an actual person. His scanner had the ability to check the car in and he handed me a receipt promptly. That was great!

Cons: I wanted a particular type of car for its fuel economy. But of course they didn't have that type of car at all so I got free upgrade to pay for more gas...

Not enough staff at this location
Cons: Waited in line for over an hour. They had one person working. Once I did get my paperwork I went to the next area to find they had no cars left.

Good Value and Comfort!
Pros: Got a compact car but was upgraded free to a standard SUV by the greetor (her name was Regina - she was an amazing person and full credits to her for the gesture). Regina was very sweet, helpful and courteous. Loved the car, its comfort and everything.
Cons: Was charged extra even though I returned it within the 4 day period for which I booked. I said I want to return by 11pm on Monday night but I returned on Tuesday morning. Technically it was still within the 4-day period but I was charged $25 extra. Since I was rushing to work, I couldn't follow up with Alamo but this was a minor sour thing.

Cons: I didn't like that I asked for a small car and they didn't have any then they said they could upgrade me to an suv for 50 dollars more. WHY should I have to pay 50 more just because they didn't have the car I wanted?

No Cars Available During Pickup - Long Wait
Pros: Very nice clean, comfortable car. Price was reasonable.
Cons: Long line for car pickup, only one agent working. Received key and was told to go outside to pick up the car, there were no cars outside. Waited almost an hour for a car. Both of these delayed our trip considerably.

Great Customer Service
Pros: I really enjoyed my experience with Alamo. We had a small hiccup in the beginning but it was quickly fixed. Overall it was a very pleasant experience!

Cons: The staff were very rude and unhelpful at the Memphis airport. They said we could not pay except with a major bank card which I had. However, they would not accept it because they said they could not run a debit as a credit card. Luckily, I had another credit card on me, but then they insisted on breaking the rental down into two separate transactions as we were renting Saturday-Monday but returning the car in New Orleans. They said we could return on Monday and renew the rental for one day, returning to New Orleans Alamo by 7PM Monday night. However, when we returned on Monday, they refused to do so as we were considered a "walk-up" despite having a rental already. The staff made us leave, get on the internet, and make an additional reservation before they would fulfill our order. We also had to change cars for no apparent reason. Nothing was explained to us and the staff members were rude and unhelpful overall.

Pros: The car was clean and the drop off was pretty simple.
Cons: Pickup was a hassle and took much longer than it should have. After flying all day, we just wanted to quickly get our car and get to our family, but the pickup agent made sure none of that was easy. The guy was trying to nickel and dime us with every feature and upgrade, and when he gave us prices he never mentioned that any of the prices he was giving us were per day. He'd say stuff like "it's only $4.99 for tire coverage." I just felt like he was being purposefully vague to mislead us. He also wouldn't let my fiancé pay with her card without us adding her as a driver since the car was under my name. All in all my experience with the pickup ruined my overall experience. I won't rent from Alamo again.

Quick, easy and on my way
Pros: Quick, good value and no delays. Staff behind counter didn't hold me up trying to sell me on everything from insurance coverage to upgrades to gas plans. I told them up front what I wanted and nothing more and she processed me without making me go through the Q&A. Return of vehicle was a non-event as well. Thanks!
Cons: nothing comes to mind.
