They were extremely busy when we went to pick up our rental, but they were so efficient that we were in and out of there more quickly than I expected. The associate that took care of us was friendly and efficient. When he realized he didn’t have a car available in the category we had reserved, he upgraded us and kept us moving. The car was filthy. It smelled like someone had smoked a carton of cigarettes in there with the windows rolled up. There were cigarette burns all over the seats. The car had dings and dents all over it and the front bumper looked like it was going to come off.Reviewed Apr 11 2023

The car itself was fine. That said, some issues need to be addressed. Pickup and drop off we’re both areas that need improvement. Wait times for long lines to pickup could be solved with adding employees. There were literally two people checking customers in with a line going almost out the door. It took an unacceptable amount of time to reach the counter. Even when a third employee arrived, it wasn’t enough, but it helped. If there were more staff it would have allowed the staff to be more helpful while checking customers in and GUIDING them to their vehicle. The staff were polite, they just didn’t have enough time to do their job because of the long line. This led to confusion on how to pick cars up after checking in. Many customers were unsure of how to get their car after checking in and just standing around as they were not informed properly of how to get to and in their vehicles. On the return end it was just as chaotic. No signage for drop off or instructions of how to leave/exit the vehicle. No staff directing the drop-off process and people were literally pulling in and just abandoning their cars, and dragging their luggage to the bus shuttle station to head towards the terminal. Signs that say, ‘park and leave car here with key on the dashboard’ would be immensely helpful. Also, spacing some garbage cans around car drop-off spots would also be a cheap and easy way to help customers leave their vehicles in good shape for the staff to turn the cars around for use again. Any garbage cans were a very long walk from the area where people were leaving vehicles. Again, no staff were directing you how to drop off and return the car. The staff you could locate and interact with were helpful and polite. Providing more staff would solve almost every issue (signage & garbage cans are also cheap fixes). There is no way that Budget is unaware of these issues and needs “feedback” to gain awareness of them. The car met expectations but getting and dropping it off (which is really the rental experience) did not.Reviewed Mar 11 2023
