Pros: The personnel at the Hertz on Mission Gorge Rd were great, and the economy Toyota I received was a pleasure to drive. Every aspect of my business with them went smoothly and pleasurably.

Worst Rental Ever
Pros: Got my gold points.
Cons: Hertz convinced me to upgrade my car and the car was horrible. It smelled like burning oil or gas inside when you drove it and the check engine light turned on along with a constant beeping that the oil engine pressure was low. Long story short, I am a gold member and this is the worst rental I have ever had. Issues for the whole two weeks.

Cons: Poor service at pick up. Transactions could not be made with me a several other people. Last minute had to try another rental place.That failed and left me without a rental when. I needed it.

Pros: I was shocked to find that the rental I researched was at a rental yard 30 minute drive from the airport, with two small children there was no way for me to get there. The hertz bus took me to the rental yard at the airport, they did not have my reservation, told me I would have to take a cab, but cabs don't have car seats, I had rented two car seats. So luckily they did some switching and got me a new contract at the rental yard at airport but the cost was almost twice the price you all quoted me. I was stuck paying the extra money cause I had no other option, so my point is, my communication with you failed miserably! Therefore I paid way too much and will think twice about using your service in the future. It should be made clear as to if there is available ground transportation to the rental location that is child friendly, other wise it's a real headache with two young kids at my feet and being a single father, it was a less than stress free transaction. I paid 600$ to fly from San francisco to San diego round trip and 400$ to rent a car from Tuesday at noon to Friday at 5pm. That's way!!!!!!! To Much money!!! Highway robery!!! Should have been like 35$/ day not 85$/ day, but I was left with no options and a schedule to keep. You could have done better, I could have done better, and therefore I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth about the whole experience through your site. That said, hertz did what they could, To get me on the road as quick as possible.

Cons: Filled up gas tank and was still charged $47 for fuel....? Was Charged $1.30 daily rental fee (6 days)...? plus $160.00 for the week which I understand then there was a $48 drop off location because we had to drop off the car to the airport location by U.S. Not being informed shuttle does not take u to the next closets hertz location...total hertz gave For the week w tax $160.00.... After I returned the car total charged $262.80 smh

Cons: Got to airport car rental location at approximately 6:45 p.m., and was told by Hertz representative that no car was available and that we needed to go to a different location that closed at 7:00 p.m. We obviously weren't able to get there by 7:00, so we had to rent a car from a different company at a much higher price as we had no options. Very disappointed.

Pros: I did not get it,i call the company to pick up the car at a later time,and was spoken to rude,so I did not go with company.

Cons: When we showed up at the counter nearest to airport, we were told that our rental was at another location. No assistance or suggestions from representative -a blank stare and the explanation that all locations were independent. Fortunately, Fox Rental (next door ) helped and we were on the way. Classic California !

Details Galore Missing
Pros: Once I figured out the new procedures at San Diego Airport, it was easy to proceed.
Cons: All airport car-rental process was brand new, and selling of additional services/products at time of pickup. Hertz couldn't help that I was new to navigating the pickup process, but I don't like the almost hard selling of additional product at check-in time. I stay with my mom who's 5 minutes away, so I just want to pick up and go.
When I dropped off the car and wanted to dispute the additional charges, the clerk was very helpful and nice, but we didn't know dropping off the car at the airport instead of another location would incur SO MANY additional taxes. Also, when I finally left, I asked if the shuttle took me back to the airport, was told which one to take and it took me to the wrong terminal, which resulted in a sweaty walk back to the correct terminal with a very heavy suitcase.
