Murli, May 2025 - Courtyard Indianapolis Airport
The front desk staff was not welcoming. The bistro staff was worse. They gave us the feeling that they’re doing us a favor. We asked if they could give us the breakfast without the bacon, but ended up giving us with the bacon. When we brought it to their retention, they said it was pre-made, and they could not do anything about it. So what was the problem in telling us beforehand??? Since there wa...

Pros (+) The bar staff is excellent.
Cons (-) When checking in, the person at the desk attempted to ask me a number of personal questions: why I was in town, if I'd lived in Indiana all my life, what city was I born in, what did I think of several neighboring towns. There were hairs in the tub already upon first checking into the room. When checking out, I was not provided with a receipt.

Pros (+) Very quick help was offered when asked, even at a late hour. There was a very convenient cab service to downtown areas of Indianapolis that was cheap and easy to use. Everyone was very friendly and conversational.
Cons (-) There was an issue with the heater in my room that was unable to be resolved at the time and required a room change, and it brought up a charge on the bill that had to be taken to be resolved. Thankfully it was resolved but it seems like this could be avoided. I found that there was no way to get water besides using the water fountain on the first floor or by purchasing it from the front desk.

Pros (+) Nothing
Cons (-) After driving all day (about 500 miles) I got to the hotel only to be told they had overbooks rooms and that I was being bumped. I booked this hotel months in advance so that I could walk to the convention across the street. Now I have to drive 10 miles every day, get up around 5:30--6am just so I have a chance to find parking. Oh and when I asked to speak to a manager from the hotel they called s...

Pros (+) We stayed here for the Big Ten Championship game, it had an easy location to get to, clean rooms, quick check in. I booked three rooms and two of the people got there at 2 pm (1 hr before check in) and the hotel set them up with their room early with no hassle. Would recommend.
Cons (-) No free breakfast - but this is stated on the website so it wasn't a surprise.
