Subaru car rentals in Jersey City from $59/day

Avoid this place! Basically a criminal gang stealing money from your credit card. Bunch of bullies and liars. And it's not a one off mistake, they doing it deliberately. Just check the reviews, I wish I have done it before I went there.For a $34 car rental, they took $980 from my card. In Europe, Avis is a respected company but in the USA its nothing but organised crime.

Pick-up location was disorganized. Drop-off closed 1hr sooner than listed online. Incorrectly charged several additional fees.

Pros:

Nothing absolutely nothing, i got the car for one day and they charged me for three days. still trying to resolve the issue with the bank. my charge was supposed to be 123USD instead i got charged 402USD

Nothing about the experience was good.

Cons:

Pick up of the car was a nightmare. Spent over an hour in line and took a total of two hours to complete the rental. Really messed up our day plans and even missed a reservation. They didn't honor the prices that were online and we had to pay more for the rental insurance in the office. The EZ Pass wasn't activated and they didn't bother to tell us. The whole experience was unpleasant.

Cons:

Not taking my reservation in the first place. Assistance finding another reservation and price matching the original booking at another local Hertz.

Pros:

So the staff member upon picking it up asked if I wanted to add easy pass which I said yes to and then it never got added since it didn't work at any of the tolls. Also, he never said anything about returning the car with a full tank. When we got the car it was less than a quarter full and we dropped it off with half a tank and then found out it was supposed to be full? What? Why wasn't this in our contract or told to us? The car kept dropping the blue tooth for our phone when we were trying to play music

Cons:

The staff should have told us about how full the tank needed to be upon returning and they should have told us about the E-ZPass not being added when we thought we were using it. Not happy with the car or service

Pros:

Always a joy renting from this Alamo location, they are so quick to get you in/out and it's never busy. Had a few great experiences renting from Gio, it's definitely my location of choice in Jersey City.

Cons:

Only negative is that the cars are parked on the 8th floor of a parking garage and it takes foreeeever to go in/out. But not the end of the world.
