Pros (+) Friendly staff. Location. Price.
Cons (-) Everything was perfect!

Anonymous, Sep 2018 - Magnolia Hotel Houston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
Cons (-) Our room was supposed to be ready for check in at 3, but upon arrival at 4:30, our room still wasn’t ready! The first person we came in contact with told us she was sorry the room wasn’t ready, and then the second guy said they didn’t have 500 maids that could clean them all at once. He did comp our breakfast and gave us two free drinks, but we had to wait for a room to come available. Extremely a...

Linda, Sep 2017 - Magnolia Hotel Houston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
Pros (+) The location is fantastic. The front desk staff was helpful when I checked in. I stayed here years ago and had fallen in love with the hotel... this time, the experience was horrible!!!
Cons (-) No way to get to the valet- lines were even blocking the intersection. Major renovations left all areas ina huge mess. "breakfast" I paid extra for when I made the reservation consisted of cup of fruit and a croissant. So very disappointed in this trip!

Anonymous, Sep 2017 - Magnolia Hotel Houston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
Pros (+) I wish I would've known about the $100 deposit and $35 parking. I also got charged for touching a bottle of Jack Daniels (FYI don't touch anything at the minibar if you have no intentions on eating or drinking anything). Everything was very overpriced for a mediocre hotel.
Cons (-) I hated how expensive everything was. I wouldn't mind paying so much if I were going to have an excellent experience.

Erin, Aug 2016 - Magnolia Hotel Houston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
Pros (+) Daughter and husband loved the Milk and Cookies Happy Hour every night! Breakfast was very good too!
Cons (-) The pool was perfect for my 4 year old because it is only 3 feet deep and not very big at all. A little disappointing.

Pros (+) Beautiful hotel in a wonderful area of downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. We did love the roof top pool as well. Amazing view of downtown from above.
Cons (-) The main drawback for us is that there was a wedding the night we stayed so the bar/pool table area was not available. There was no other good place to hang out at the hotel which was inconvenient for us.

Anonymous, Nov 2015 - Magnolia Hotel Houston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
Pros (+) I loved the atmosphere, decorations, the view from the pool was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable. The valet were super friendly and helpful.
Cons (-) The staff inside seemed a bit on edge from the double weddings in the restaurant, clerk told us we could order at the bar tender stand downstairs and the bartender seemed offended and said she's a liar, it's room service only that night. I was not fond of the prices for waffles and french toast on the menu, seemed an awful high price for such a simple food. The view from my room was construction a...
