the rooms stayed dark during the night. The hotel lost power and was expected to pay the full amount of the room.
I like the accommodation - room was awesome, perfectly clear, comfortable. I liked spa - whirlpool and sauna I did not like an attitude of hotel staff - receptionist in the morning and staff who cared about the breakfast,
We had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent, The staff were friendly, room was clean & adequate. Will stay again if in Prague
Central hotel (20 min to the old town) with international guests. Breakfast was good and the rooms are comfortable. Price is ok Unfriendly staff at the reception, shower did not work in the first place and the spa is too expensive! The main street of Prague is very close to the hotel therefore it´s very noisy
Our stay was very comfortable, the staff were very helpful and the spa was gorgeous - very private. Great breakfast and very clean hotel!! The only downside to the hotel was that is was further to the main square than we thought. It is advertised as being only a few steps from the main square where as in reality it is a 15 minute walk. I would have preferred to have this information prior to booking.
Very nice location. Pleasant bar on the ground floor. Nice service.
Helpful staff, friendly
I do appreciate the hotel very much in comparison to other ones that we have seen around the area. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms are always kept clean. It also had a nice bar to lounge with very friendly waiter/barman. Excellent hotel altogther and will use it again for the next visit. Location-a bit far from the famous bridge, but since it was close to the tram, we were then taking the tram to go places.
Very convenient to get to the main tourist areas. Excellent staff, very helpful. Hotel very clean and very reasonably priced. Would stay here again. Would have been nice to have had tea / coffee facilities in the bedroom, also I found the bedroom and bar area chilly.
The location was excellent. good choice of food both in bar and restaurant.Good varied breakfast in nice surroundings. Windows could not be opened in bedroom.
felt they needed to pay more attention to replenishing the breakfast food eg we waited for 25mins for scrambled eggs on 2 of the 4 days
Excellent breakfast buffet, helpfull and smiling staff
It's a beautiful hotel, and I honestly felt at home there.
This is a 5-star hotel still for a 3-star price. Excellent stay for business travelers.
We found the staff to be very helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious. The size of the room worked easily for two people. The only thing that we didn't like was that the windows were locked and they could not be opened. In a hotel in Europe, with the smoking that happens in the lobby and rises to the rooms, this was an inconvenience.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice leisure facillities, heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna. Not really on Wenceless Square although underground is nearby. Amazed that only paper cups provided in room for tea/coffee and we stayed in a premium room!
Size of room Breakfast
The location was the best thing. When we arrived the second bed had just a quilt with no cover, no bottom sheet or pillow cases. For coffee cups we had two plastic cups.Breakfast was over priced and poor with the worst coffee i have ever tasted
Nice room, spacious, clean and well equipped. Polite and helpful staff. Great beakfast. Just 5 minutes from Wenceleslas Square. Bath could do with renewing.
Great swimming pool. Very efficient staff. Breakfast not included and to be paid separately..
The room was 1st class, very comfortable and clean. The pool was a refreshing way to start the day.
staff was very helpfull. location. tram stops around the corner. metro close but most important you can walk within 7 minutes to wenzelssquare. a few nice bars and restaurants in the area. rooms are nice. everything seems newls renovated. we had a very nice weekend there. breakfast is very good but the first day we got up late and could not get eggs. we asked for more but nothing happened.
The size and comfort of the room
Position is good, walking distance to all major things in Prague, good breakfast Very expensive parking, parking is in another hotel
Great location, a very quiet hotel. Only one english TV chanel and it was just american stock exchange news so we couldnt watch TV. Also there was no coffee maker which we think it should be a standard in every hotel room.
Parking place is too expensive. F.Y.I. in Paris I paid 13 EU per night for the same type parking No objection from our side ( me and my wife )
It was very nice to stay in "Antic City". We enjoyed location, silence, friendly staff, design and comfort.
The room had a nice apperance and the breakfast in the morning was very good. The breakfast staff was very kind and provided us a tray to take food back to our room since we had a toddler with us. The location is OK...if you are looking to walk 1/2 hr., And figure out how to get to the city center on your own. But- next time I would pay the extra $50 to stay at a hotel in town. Parking is not a gaurantee...even if you email the hotel to 'reserve' a spot as I did! When we arrived we were told they were full!!! Fortunatly, it was a weekend and they allowed us to keep our car right in front of the hotel at no charge...although this was not 'secure' parking! But, it worked out for us- and there was no damage to the car! We also had a leak in the pipe in the bathroom... Not that big of a deal, we put the bathroom trash can under it and the hotel gave us a bottle of wine b/c of it- which was nice.
Some walking minutes from the centre, but very quiet location and very good access to all public transportation. Breakfast was really fantastic and full with warm and excellent dishes.Dinner in the hotel restaurant was perfect, I tried fisch and it was really nice.Well trained staff, friendly, helpful and multi lingual tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Location was great. Close to restaurants and easy access to the highway. Quite and noise free. Clean rooms. Unless you are there to sightsee and don't care about use the room only to sleep the place is quite bare. TV does not have any English channels nor is there any thing to do within walking distance
The hotel was beautifully clean, staff were very good and helpful, food good
The room was very nice if slightly tight on space. The bathroom and shower facilities were excellent. Unlike many hotels in Europe this one had non-smoking rooms. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of hot and cold foods. Room service food was also good and not too pricey if you choose wisely. Staff was very helpful. We loved the location and neighborhood, It's a short walk to the metro and tram but very convenient to the tourist areas without being right in them. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as supermarkets and convenience stores. While not being the cheapest place one can stay it was a real value. We would definitely go back again.
We found the hotel to be very convenient for getting around and was in pleasant tree lined street area. Our room was very good with all you needed provided, and clean Staff most helpful , restaurant good and breakfast good.Free internet service was most appreciated. Would definitely stay there again.
Nice bright room. Good choice of breakfast menu. Very helpful staff. Value for money.
It is at a very convenient location. Also the staff is really nice. I would stay again when I go to Prague.
Excellent location close to trams, which made getting about prague relatively easy. Excellent staff who were extreamly helpful and were always available to assist. This is a very clean hotel in a nice quite area with some excellent bars nearby. Try the Irish Pub (5 minutes walk) for a sucullent steak. (Cost about £45.00 for 4 people inc starters and plenty of Stella to wash it all down with). Would recommened this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Prague.
The hotel left a chocolate advent calendar as a gift on the bed which was nice. Very good breakfast in the morning that was included with our room. If you are willing to walk a good five to ten minutes to the metro this hotel is on the green line which connects to most of the major sites in Prague. The room stank of cigarette smoke when we arrived and was rather bland and poorly decorated, it could have used a sprucing up. We left the window open for the duration of the trip and that helped with the smell, however our stay was in December so it was quite cold. Expected more based on the previous reviews and on the fact that it was rated as a four star hotel. If you are looking for something that is right in the center of town this is not the hotel for you. Also, while there was wifi, it was rather slow.
Location, in a great neighborhood, with little cafe's surrounding the area, easy to walk to at night. Close to the trams. They shut off the Air conditioning in the night so you woke up hot and miserable.
breakfast was great value room perfect difficult to find on first visit
Hotel staff was excellent, friendly and with lot of good informations. Position of hotel is pretty good, fiew trams are passing just near the hotel connecting to all places of interes. Interior of hotel is nice with good atmosphere. Rooms are wide and clean with lot of light. Breakfast is good. I could recomend this hotel to everybody. Everything was excellent
the hotel was located in a very quiet area. Good communication with the city center. breakfast a little bit simple, but not bad.
Easy access to metro, tram. Good nearby restaurants. Quiet place to stay, no traffic sounds etc. Breakfast was the same everyday. Also not very much choices in the breakfast.
A very good location not that far from Tram
computer and internet in the room, massage shower, great furnature & very helpful staff
Location. Also very nicely decorated bathroom and room furniture. Walls seemed to be thin. I stayed for 5 nights and could hear tv next door rather loud. It woke me up each morning.
The hotel is near by the center of the city. The tramstop is nearby. The rooms are very beautyful, the staff was very kind. Breakfast with champange. There is a safe in the room. The parking is in front of the hotel. It is not with security. You must take everything out of your car to prevent the break in.
Atmosphere of past century, style of furniture and design of corridor, concept of modern and past time combination. bad drain system in shower
It was within my price range for Prague city. It was a bit disconcerting to be asked to pay immediately while checking into the hotel. However, because of the bad state of the world economy, I would not hold this against the hotel.
appartments instead of room.very cosy.nice big bathroom.help to go to the airport the hotel was in 2 different places (half of it only on the street we were told it was, and the other part was around the corner in the next street) so it was a bit confusing.
Fairly central location, clean rooms, good breakfast included. No bar or smoke room. More pillows and thicker duvet would be nice.
not far from main street and old town, 10 min by foots to the National Musium. why not in the same building from the check-in! we should find our room ourselves and the building we lived a littel horror, so dack at night. the room is big but very old. breakfast is not good.
central location was excellent, breakfast was excellent, we booked tours from hotel and very informative and knowledgable about tours
The location of the hotel
Very Spacious rooms! Not ensuite and no shower!
Good location booked a double room which turned out to be a twin room with the bathroom across the corridor.
only location was good, otherwise all bad bad bad no hotwater, stinky bathrooms, had to room was not same building had to another building for our room. poor breakfirst.only bread, ham,jam,1 cheap cerial, thats all. really bad
price & location, we(3 people) spent 105 euro for 3 nights~ breakfast is a little bit easy...
A very good buffet breakfast. Hotel is in a quiet area of Prague it looks from the outside a little decrepit from outside but this is due to all the buildings in the area having been built before 1910. The hotel is in two parts with an anex about 200 to 400meters away from reception. The plumbing functions well but is a bit antiquated and noisy.
The hotel has perfect location - just a step from metro and within walking distance from main touristic attractions. It is very easy to get there from the airport. The staff is very helpful and polite. And of course - low season prices are very, very good. Beacause of the "in the city center" location - the room was noisy. Also the room and bathroom was not perfect - everything seems to be "touched by time". Lack of all those small and helpful things that make your stay comfortable like mugs in the bathroom, sewing kit, pencil, free of charge mineral water. Air conditioning is operated manualy from the reception. The breakfast is abundant but a bit boring too. 4 stars for this hotel seem to be overated. The hotel deserves 3 stars - no more - and the low season prices are enough for such a level of comfort. If I had to pay a full price - I would be very disapointed.
The room was of 5 star quality. It was furnished beautifully. Location was also good whether you like walking or whether you prefer public transport. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable. We didn't complain but it had springs poking out of it.
Ideal location for seeing the city, good transport links, easy to get to and from airport using metro and bus. No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom, the photo's on the hotel web site are misleading, the rooms look very big but in reality the rooms are very small with 2' 6'' twin beds. Booked triple room be aware this means a small Z-bed as the 3rd bed.
Quiet place, peaceful staff, convenient location near the centre on the city and the metro
The location and the cleanliness were good. We were easily connected to the main train station and other parts of town. If you get a good price, the hotel is fine, but it is not a special hotel experience in any way. The rooms were dated, but not in an offensive way. The ventilator had no cover and looked very dingy. It was a typical 3* traditional hotel I would say that was adequate and priced for what it is, but unexciting.
Clean and staff were very friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. Very handy for local amenities ie; trams, banks, metro and food.Only 5 mins walk to Wenslaslas Square and the hub of Prague. Hotel Very quiet at night. The only - was the sink in room 204 (our room) was badly cracked but as we never filled the bowl up this was not a problem and the remote needed batteries but the night staff didn't know where they were kept. minor problems
Breakfast was OK, Location - close to metro, friendly staff. Would recommend for two people only (double) We booked triple room, although our sone could stay for free if we booked double. I confirmed over emails big triple room and was promised that. When we arrived it was small double room with extra bed in it. They just don't have triples. Plus, we had problem with lock, so my bag with shoes and souvenirs disappeared ( I hope, it was only lock and visitors problem)
Fast internet, comfortable bed, air conditioning, great location near shops and the metro, great customer service, great value for the price, yummy and varied breakfast Nothing- When I return to Prague, I will try to book this hotel again.
Bright and clean throughout. Staff always pleasant and helpful.
Everything was great, location, staff, breakfast and cleaniness.
The hotel is very well located, only a short distance from Metro station I.P.Pavlova. On my arrival I was greeted by the very charming and helpful receptionist, Eleana. From that point I really felt the lovely warm atmosphere that exists in Hotel Tyl.
this was a return visit to Hotel Tyl as we had enjoyed the whole experience before.it is out of centre,so quieter but within easy access to public transport&only a shotrt walk from main attractions lack of tea coffee making facilities in room, but as we had stayed before we were prepared for this .taking our own travel kettle etc.
Nice views from the breakfast room on the top floor
Helpful staff. Decent rooms. Free breakfast Beds. Location was a bit outside the center though still walking distance to most things(30 min walk to old town if you know where you're going)
just staff who was working at the night time only.. hard to explain..anyway i don't like the reception operation. and even the room..
Location - great access to public transportation Breaffast buffet with many choices including some hommebaked pastries Helpful staff from front desk to the attendants in the breakfast room There is nothing to complain about. The furniture in our room was a lille dated, but again the price was rught and the mattress comfortable
clean room., loved the shower! lovely and warm. good location too warm at night, breakfast only okay
Staff, breakfast and location Didn't feel like a 4-star hotel in terms of the room amenities
good breakfast, gentleman at the reception very helpful for eats & visits no
Breakfast was great - a lot of variety
The hotel was of an excellent standard. It was far better than we were expecting. Our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day. Breakfast was of a good standard.
The hotel is close to public transport and there are a couple of nice bars/cafés right around the corner. Good breakfast with nothing missing. Check-out could be at 12.00 or 13.00 in stead of 11.00.
Good location - one/two blocks from the subway Namesti Mirù, central, friendly staff, very clean and confortable room, great bathroom, free wi-fi at the lobby and inside the apartment... Praha is a city with very cheap selection of hotels, but Galileo is a nice option for "budget with confort" travelers. The breakfast is good, but they could really offer a better selection of juices and breads. The TV is very small, but who cares when you've got an awesome city to discover...
location cleanliness comfort
Good and helping staff. Old spooky building with poor acoustics(makes you think about ghost stories and stuff). Too far from metro, about 15min. walk to Vaclav Sq. Breakfast could be better and should start earlier(bad for tours that start at 8:00) No wifi in the room. Not a good value for money. Definitely, NOT a 4-star hotel.
the reception staff were very accommodating and worked diligently to satisfy our requirements. The room was large and well furnished and quiet. a sleeping pen and a bathtub was provided for our baby. parking is secure but smaller cars only. the included breakfast was marginal and we suffered the only bad meal of our entire two week vacation in the Czech Republic on the first night of our stay.
Reception staff were courteous and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Inclusive breakfast offered a good selection of food and refreshments, in traditional surroundings. Located 15min walk from the main tourist area of Wenceslas Square, 5min walk from underground station, 3min walk from tram stop. Traffic noise was very noticeable, even on 5th floor - take your earplugs if you're a light sleeper! Shower temperature and water flow were erratic during peak useage times... Able to smell cigarette smoke from adjacent rooms and corridors, even though it was a non-smoking section. Discounted price was good value; would not necessarily have chosen the hotel at the normal price. Though not required on my trip, there was no visible disabled access for those who may need it, other than the internal lift.
The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was delightful. Slightly farther from the center of town than I expected.
This is a hotel that offers everything you need for a city break, all at acceptable level but nothing is excellent - would make a 3star hotel. Location is not very good, but linked to the city centre by public transport. However nothing is unpleasant around the hotel. Staff are friendly enough, but can be more helpful. Furnishing is out of date. Breakfast is very good. Hotel only provides Italian style dinner. There is no wireless internet signal upstairs, though it is good in the reception area. If you have a rather limited budget for hotel (like 50-60 Euro/night), this hotel won't disappoint you. Not much, the carpet is quite old; no wireless internet signal upstairs (on the 4th floor).
The staff was delicate and friendly; the room was clean and well-furnished; all facilities and accessories were good. Wi-Fi works only from -1st, ground and 1st floor. However, it is not a big problem, since the lobby is very comfortable.
we had a promotion so we paid 120euro for the room for 3nights so u couldnt ask for something better. coffee in the room could be a big plus we came after a ride of
Value for money Breakfast was minimal
One of the clerks was extremely helpful and friendly. The other clerk we dealt with as very friendly, but steered us to a local restaurant which was a rip-off instead and discouraged us from going down to the old town. Rooms were very nice, the hotel is stately and well managed. Relationship with local restaurant that did not benefit us. Parking was difficult and limited.
Everything was very good, especially the hotel staff and the bathroom. The breakfast was delicious. The room was hot, we couldn't open the windows properly (the outside temperature was ok so I think it can get worse)
The rooms are big and confortable. I never expected a wide flat lcd screen as tv, great! The hotel is only a couple of steps away from Venceslas Square. Great option for making tourism in Prague.
it is close to the center the restaurant was to red
Excellent room, everything was brand new. Lovely deep red carpet throughout, large wall mounted LCD TV, mini-bar, safe in wardrobe. Nice bed with huge headboard. Bathroom is fully tiled and very well furnished with chrome shower controls and taps. Nice big sink, mirror and shaving mirror aswell as hair dryer. You get your own credit card door key, so no need to leave your key in reception when going out, which is nice! I had a choice of rooms, so got one with bath and shower. Although the bath was not full sized, it was still nice to have. My room was at the end of the corridor, so the outside was just a view of all the other windows facing in from the middle of the hotel, and therefore it was nice and quiet. The room has air-con unit with 15/20/25 degrees settings and 3 speed settings for the fan, so it's nice to be able to put it on the lowest setting for the minimum amount of noise at night. The breakfast was very good, with a choice of cereals, bread, rolls, butter, cheese, fruits, various jams and honey etc. Also had scrambled eggs and sausage (hot dog style), bacon and ham etc. The only thing I would say is that the apple/orange juice was watered down abit, didn't taste like 100% pure juice. This hotel is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk from the museum at the top of Wenceslas square. My tips are; buy a 24hr or 5day tram pass, costing 100/500 CZK respectively, look on the time boards at the top to see which number you need for the direction you want to go in. Go across the river and take the tram to the monastry. Climb the "mini-eifel tower" for the best views over Prague, then have lunch in the resturant on the way down. Also have dinner in the roof-top resturant at the Hotel U Prince in the old town square (opposite the astrological clock). They have a huge menu (over 100 pages) and very reasonable prices, best of all you get to look at the charles bridge tower, castle and the old town square whilst eating. Absolutely superb, and the Hotel inside looks amazing. The fact that they charged for the jacuzzi and sauna. This isn't advertised.
the rooms were clean and warm. internet access, we had to pay for it while on booking.com it was mentioned that it was free of charge in all the hotel
Good location, good staff, nice facilities, normal price 1. Some problems with breakfast: very bad orange juice, small glasses, supply interruption; 2. Switch off electricity and fire service (hope, that was an exception)
Very good location; 3 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square. Modern interior, heated floor in the spacious bathroom.
it,s location, size of rooms , a good breakfast. no coffee tea making facilitys in room. no shower screen around bath
The room was comfortable and the location was great The charge for spa services was a suprise
The location was excellent.
good location, quality of room
peace and quiet
Everything was worthy of a four star hotel. Ideal location. The staff was very helpful. Good selection of breakfast. Everything just fine. The extra surcharge just for the use of a sauna is weird for a four star hotel.
Clean rooms. Located strategically in the city centre, but in a quiet street. Helpful and polite staff
The bed was extremely comfortable after a hard day slogging around the city The tiled floor carried noise
beautiful design at lobby, modern hotel, clean, big room, nice and professional staff, excelent breakfast; the free pick up at airport they had at the time was an excelent help; great choice if you want to stay several days you have to walk about 15 m to center, but its ok since its in a quiet street and easy to find
Very good location to Praha's sights. We were up grades from a superior double to a family room which made our 5 night stay even more enjoyable. Good breakfast included.
Hotel is in good area, close to all but a little more quiet. Our bathroom did not have proper shower unit. Tub and sprayer makes a mess.
Lovely spacious rooms and bathrooms. I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Breakfast would have been nicer with bacon and tomatoes to go with the egg.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were an excellent size, very comfortable and clean, and the hotel is just a ten minute walk from Old Town Square.
It has a good location, very convenient rates, simple but complete. The beds were too soft.
We had an excellent time in Prague. The Hotel was really nice - clean and comfortable and very convenient to city centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend it to my friends. If going there again I would ask for a room that was not next to the street as the traffic was quite loud.
Friendly helpful staff and roomy accommodation. Noisy air-conditioning.
The breakfast When the hot water system broke and we had no shower for 48 hours despite the staff constantly telling us that there would be hot water in 15 minutes
Location of Hotel, staff very helpful, Nice Bar area and good value breakfast
Well Priced. Breakfast
4th night came back at the room late, there was a bottle of wine present, offered by the hotel, nice touch. small bathroom, simple breakfast
Good place for a shot stay. Friendly staff and a good location are the main advantages. But the location is the disadvantage too. For whom looking for absolutely quite place this is not yours hotel. The noise from the Sokolska str. is listenable but I may say it is aceptable (for discount price). The breakfast is standard (without hot meals) but it is enough from my point of view.
Location and cleanliness The single rooms are horrible, the bed is terrible. Take the doubles.
Location, breakfast buffet, room comfort
Location, price, rooms are really big. Useless staff
Room was comfortable & the breakfast very good. The male reception staff lack the qualities required for a front line job. I found the one in particular rude with a couldn't care less attitude. I would recommend this hotel but with reservations concerning the aforementioned staff.
It is the worst hotel which I saw in Europe.
The location was very good. My room had no hot water for 2 days. The staff refused to move me to another room. I also had no heat in the room depite the fact that it was almost down to freezing at nighttime. They also advertise wireless internet in each room, however the internet on my laptop only worked when in the lobby. Also, even though I was on the back of the hotel which was supposed to be quiet, it was extremely noisy due to the thin walls. There is a restaurant on the backside ground floor that plays loud music; and you can hear every word and sound from the rooms next to you.
This hotel is one of the most luxurious and modern budget hotels I have stayed in. Rooms are all modern and new and the TV has a range of channels including English! A little bit from the centre of town but very easy to walk everywhere and excellent transport links to the airport. Would thoroughly recommend this place to other travellers.
The location is good, the apartment we were upgraded to was very quiet. The design of the hotel is great, very creative and efficient usage of space; stuff is friendly; breakfast - great value for money, the pancakes were tasty:-) shower was nice, loved the choice of products (gel, shampoo etc.). We r very happy with the choice-would definitely recommend. In the appartment we stayed at the bed was pretty short (my height 175 cm); could not manage to crank up the heat (but managed in the end).
Excellent staffand the apartment was roomy and comfortable.I would strongly recommend to anyone Just one problem, We were on the top floor which was great but the lift was temprementale. I dont like lifts either and we go stuck in one for about 15 minutes and nobody knew. The lift alam connected to a office which had someone who didnt understand English although she tried.Scary experience for me , I didnt take the lift after and climbed up to the 5th floor. But this was a big problem. But this should not stop anyone from staying here, its great
Staff is very helpful.
It's clean, stylish, reasonably priced. Its location, to my mind, is great--short walk to a #22 tram line stop (the main line for tourists) and to the I.P. Pavlova metro station (just one stop from Vaclavska Namesty, two from the train station), and a twenty minute walk from all sorts of stuff, though the immediate neighborhood is nothing special. The electric-eye trigger on the bathroom light is irritating. The wrought-iron clothes hangers, hung externally over a bureau and counter-top, are cool-looking but cumbersome.
Rooms were clean, modern, and stylish with an artistic vibe. Good kitchen. Decent location, just off major tram line and short walk to metro. Room I stayed in was at street level so if I opened the window anyone could get in...and if I didn't the room was stuffy. No common area.
Best: comfortable and tastefully decorated room; really comfy bed; central location: close to metro, a 15-minute walk from the historical part of town and plenty of restaurants around; mini-fridge in the bedroom; good value room and excellent value breakfast if you have a big stomach. No hangers in the room and the hair-drier only blew cold air.
we stayed in a 2 person apartment with beds for three. The room was very comfortable with nice bathroom and well equipped kitchen - tea, coffee and milk provided. Additional touches such as chocolates on the bed made the stay very special. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. no blinds or curtains on some of the windows )- the apartment was on the 5th floor so wasn't overlooked but we were woken up by the light coming in through the windows in the morning. On the windows which did have blinds the blinds were thin and still let the light in.
Friendly staff, very clean rooms No foodservice, but it is not really neccessary.
Great room for the price. Everything that I needed.
What I liked the best was the recently implemented breakfast. Great varity of food to choose and loved the decoration. The guy serving breakfast was a little bit rude. As a recomendation, I believe he needs an assistant to help him served or cook..
It is in close proximity to metro and tram station. Just hour an hour walking to the Charles Bridge and Old Town. The air conditioner in the room is not functioning well.
Location and hotel security Thermostat in room was confusing
very good location, very close to tram stop, very helpful staff ( specialy Jeff and Martin ...) rooms very well furnished, good breakfast only one chanel in english BBC, no other languages than tcheck like italian , french.... or for children or movie
Yes. they use rates totally diferent than the rates of the day. my diference was of 10€. They cheat people in the conversation rates.
The big and light room with jacuzzi in the bathroom, and good breakfasts.
Out of centre yet very convenient Experience incidents of very small ants (or similar) but not worth complaining about
Value for money and nice contemporary design the bar was not open
Clean, comfortable room, excellent staff, excellent breakfast. All within walking distance of the sights.
excellent location within walking distance to the river and to all downtown tourist attractions, very hospitable staff, nice room, large bathroom, clean, pleasant place
location no WIFI
This hotel was clean and tidy.
One of the best hotels we've stayed in so far! Excellent service by the hotel staff - very friendly. Great focus on small details that give that little extra. Staff doesn't hesitate to go the 'extra mile'. Would certainly recommend this hotel!
location in the quiet place but not far from main attractions of the city
Extremely well run hotel, the staff could'nt have been more helpful, it was really quite impressive We had a deluxe room on the 4th floor, it was a little like being in the eves of the hotel and we didn't have a view as such, wondered if we had been put in this room because we had a deal, the hotel certainly not full.
Staff very helpful & friendly. Room spacious and very comfortable. Free mini-bar a welcome bonus and very much appreciated. The organised transport to & from the Airport worth while. Very enjoyable if a little expensive. Is about 15 mins to Wencelaus Square, which was not a problem, as we made good use of public transport (tram). Put a non-slip mat in the bathroom - a small detail, but important to older visitors in particular.
Luxury accomodation at a reasonable price
We got married in Prague and the staff of the hotel and the place itself added a lot to the atmosphere of the wedding. It is a very romantic place to stay in, the hotel design is very beautiful, the rooms are amazing, very quiet place and a great view from the rooms. They decorated our room at the day of the wedding and reserved the library of the hotel for our dinner after the wedding, not only reserved but also decorated it and also put fire in the fireplace. They have very tasty and various breakfast. We have some misunderstanding with emails with the hotel staff, and the hotel provided free airport pickup since the misunderstanding was related to it. The minibar is free and provides a good choice of items!! Very very beautiful hotel! The hotel doesn't have free internet access which is very strange and uncomfortable considering the whole experience.
Very helpful staff, complimentary mini-bar and airport transfer (one way). Food in the restaurant was far too salty which ruined the dinner we had, really poor for a 5star hotel. The package included airport transfer by one of the hotel's cars, this was only one way though and they wanted 1000crowns (£40) to take us back, I thought this was a bit of a cheap trick.
Comfortable beds, luxurious
Everything. The hotel was lovely and quite at night with no noise disturbance. The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. There were nice little touches to the room, including daily fruit and petit fours, and champagne on arrival. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was lovely, as was the double bath and large walk-in shower. All staff were couteous and friendly and went out of their way to help. Breakfast is served 'til 10.30 which allows for a cheeky lie-in. The suite was definetely worth the upgrade. The hotel Mercedes is very convenient and comfortable. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Wencelslas square, (30 mins from old-town square), but that gave us the chance to walk off some calories and see some 'real' Prague.
clean rooms and of a good size, tram stop outside no high chair or ramps, made using the buggy hard work, there is however a lift to the rooms.
Breakfast is good and location is very convenient, just beside the tram stop. Very close the to one of the scenic view of Visehrad. Free Wi-Fi access provided by the hotel. Rooms at the street side are quite affected by the noises and running of the trams.
Accessible by tram. Excellent breakfast. A bit far from the center by walking. Tram noise - the hotel is next to tram and train lines.
the location is very good the breakfast doesn't fit to the 4stars
I didn't like that it was advertised as a four star when it was clearly a three or two.
appropriate for old-fashioned lovers..
Its cheap, good breakfast, not so far away from city center but anyway you must use tramp. Is located too close to the railway line, sound of the passing trains can be heard clearly at night. Price is in EURO but they anyway charge credit card in CZK. Very claustrofobical corridors (at least at 5 floor).
i like the position of the hotel , the staff and the food! i like evreything!
Very nice hotel. On a next visit i will book it again. n.a.
