If you don't accept debit cards don't approve it a month before.
Cons: I used a debit card to rent the car. If it was not an acceptable form of payment, why even approve it, deny it. You fail to notify people correctly. All 3 people at the Hertz counter were having the same problem. My credit card is kept at home and too far away to go back and retrieve. Your lady at the desk was rude from the start, but if I had to tell people they couldn't take the car when they paid a month ago I wouldn't be very happy either. The details should be taken care of before getting there. Oh and also, I am home from my trip nine days later and still do not have all of my money back, but you sure did take it all at once. I am not asking you to take debit cards, just not accept debit cards, so we avoid confusion.

Pros: Being able to return my vehicle to another location.
Cons: One salesperson said that if I had a receipt that I would get my taxi refunded when taken to another location. The salesperson at the location where I picked up the car "supposedly" did not know how to to do...UGH!

Pros: I had to exchange rentals when an oil light turned on, on the dashboard. The second car, a Kia Soul, was far better than the first (a Chevrolet Cruze) in terms of comfort. The people you have working at the Louisville, KY, airport are so friendly, efficient and they go the extra mile. I walk with a cane and cannot walk long distances, so the counter agent went to the trouble of bringing the car to the closest terminal door. And the value-for-money aspect couldn't have been better.
Cons: I had to exchange rentals when an oil light turned on, on the dashboard. I consider that a failure by the staff to be aware of the next service point of the vehicle. With only about 300 miles to the next service point and I was planning to use the car for 12 days, they should have given me a different car. Also, the distance from your dropoff location to the terminal was too far for a guy with a cane to walk (at least 200 yards), but there seemed to be no way to call for a wheelchair or some other accommodation. In that sense, an "in terminal" location is actually a disadvantage. So maybe you can find a solution for that.

Pros: They went out of their way to make the car extra clean and were friendly
Cons: however that said even though the car was very nice and clean I could still smell a strong odor of smoke in the car masked by a cheap fragrance. I had an overwhelming headache due to that smell. No matter how long I had the windows down It would not leave the car.

Pros: I've rented from Hertz several times in the last 2 years. I've always had great customer service. They do strive to make sure the customer is satisfied and that goes a long way nowadays. I will not rent from anyone else.

Needed a quart of oil
Pros: I like the car itself and they confirtablity of the ride.
Cons: I had to add a quart of oil before my trip. Someone didn't change the oil properly

Something to get the job done. Nothing more.
Pros: I received a fuel efficient, fairly new Nissan Sentra. The price was right and the car handled well.
Cons: There are no frills (no navigation, Bluetooth only transmits voice for calls, seats are small and stiff etc).

Great service, pretty good car
Pros: Pickup and drop off were both smooth, with friendly, personable staff who were ready to help. The car (a Toyota Yaris) was clean and gave me no operational hassle. The fuel economy and pickup were good, and my fiance and I were both grateful that what it lacks in horizontal space, it makes up for vertically; we are both tall, but neither of us felt squished. Being able to use the Bluetooth with my phone was a very welcome and appreciated feature.
Cons: The steering wheel doesn't telescope forward, and as I sit with the seat fairly far back to accommodate for my legs, it resulted it me hunching forward to reach it properly. The Yaris also has some sizeable blind spots, and as my rental was an economy, the side mirrors have to be adjusted by hand, which were both fine once I adapted.

Unreliable- unable to get rental car
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: The schedule pick-up time for the rental was after the business had closed. Leaving me with no rental for the weekend.

Pros: The price was great and the car was in excellent condition.
Cons: Though I had indicated I wanted to pick up and drop off at the Louisville airport, I was scheduled to pick up and drop off at an off-airport site. The folks at Hertz rectified this, but I had to pay a $15 fee. Considering the price, this was acceptable, but I'm not sure I didn't just luck out in encountering Hertz people who were willing to help.

Pros: I loved that they didn't charge a huge drop-off fee for the one-way rental. The staff was very nice and professional at the location where I picked up the vehicle.
Cons: The car was not very clean and smelled of cigarette smoke.

Cons: Pickup wasn't at airport. Car wasn't ready; still had to be cleaned. They gave me the car with an empty gas tank. And the car smelled of smoke. Would not ever text from them again.

Great gas mileage !
Pros: Car was very good with gas mileage. We drove 2200 miles for roughly $100 USD.
Cons: Car was a wee bit small for a trip to Smyrna Beach, Florida vacation trip. with two kids aged 7/10. Trunk / Hatch area a bit small also. I just needed to upgrade to mid size car next time.

No car available
Cons: I called prior to taking a cab to the rental location to find they had no cars. They called me back at closing time to say the car had still not been returned and the earliest I could pick it up was 8am, which was when I needed to be at my first meeting. I used a ride service to get to my destination.
