Great budget rep in StL
Pros: The Budget rep in STL was great! Very warm and friendly.
Cons: I was give one price and charged another one, so I was a bit disappointed in the billing.

Cons: i flew into the St Louis airport, and you guys booked me a car to be picked up in a remote location 30 minutes from the airport location. it cost me $150 more to get a car from them at the airport location.

Charged more than agreed upon rate - made returning car VERY difficult
Pros: Car was ok
Cons: Rate quoted: $226 Rate Charged: $301 Gave a very bad return address that was 30 minutes from airport and the would not shuttle to airport

Pickup was slo-o-o-o-o-w
Pros: Drop off was a breeze and I was able to catch a shuttle to the airport right away.
Cons: It took almost 45 minutes for me to get my car. The line had at least 12 people and only 2 counter folks when we first arrived. After about 10 minutes 2 more folks showed up. But, each person took around 10-15 minutes to get their car so it was a long wait after a full day of travel.

Cons: I was FORCED to pay for loss/damage insurance or told I could not rent the vehicle. This was DESPITE the fact that I had a reservation with a confirmation number for the car WITHOUT the insurance. This is complete highway robbery and fraud. I am extremely mad that I was forced to pay almost $200 that I didn't want or need to.

Car Rental made easy
Pros: My price was extremely reasonable. The car was a hybrid and cost $19 in gas for my whole trip. Rental and return were fast, efficient, and the service was friendly. This was the best rental car experience I ever had!
Cons: I had no problems with this rental.

Budget charged more for the car rental than the Ka
Pros: Nice shuttle driver on the return trip.
Cons: No windshield washer fluid in the vehicle when we picked it up an multiple service vehicle lights displayed in the instrument panel.

never again if I have a Choice
Cons: I rented the vehicle through Kayak and printed the confirmation email. However when I got to budget to pickup my vehicle, they had it noted for completely different dates and would not honor my Kayak rental. I ended up paying twice as much as what I had budgeted. The car was not clean inside or out, and the Bluetooth stereo would not sync for hands free operation. If I have a choice in the future, I will not rent from budget again.

Make sure you're booking the right location for yo
Pros: Car was comfortable and clean.Staff was friendly, though very overwhelmed by the demand. They handled it well, in spite of one lady very upset she was being asked to wait for a short time.
Cons: Kayak suggested I rent a car in addition to booking my flight - and i said "sure!" but the location they gave me turned out to be about 20 minuted from the airport with no way to get there. That was a bit annoying since i didn't know the area and didn't know it was the location without a shuttle.

Kayak sent me to an off airport rental office
Pros: When we caught the airport shuttle to Budget, we were informed that Kayak had reserved a car for us at a location far away from the airport and that we would have to spend almost twice as much to rent at the airport location as a "walk up". Our option was to call a cab both ways to get to the correct location or pay the added amount.
Cons: Wrong location for the Kayak reservation. What a mess!!!!

Cons: Confusion over pick-up location. I did not realize the Manchester location was different than the airport location. Price ended up being more than $100 more. Will not use Budget again.

not near airport
Cons: I thought I had rented a car from Budget next to the airport and when I got there it was 31 miles away so I had to rent one from budget at more then double the rate of the budget for 31 miles away. Needless to say I paid the extra money. but won't use Kayak again to rent cars

Cons: I think the problem was with Kayak and then Budget made it worse. I went online with kayak and put in to rent a car at St. Louis Airport and not just ST. Louis in general. (STL) All car rentals at STL are off site on a nearby road. Being an out of towner I did not know the address of the car rental. I just got on the shuttle at the airport as I always do in St. Louis and it dropped me off at Budget. I was halfway through my processing when the agent tells me that Kayak had the car at a Budget rental in a hotel on the other side of down and not the airport. I was annoyed but I needed the car so I asked if someone could take me there or would I have to take a cab. She told me that it was closed and they were not open on Sundays. I double checked and she was right. THEY ARE NEVER OPEN ON SUNDAYS so why would Kayak book a rental that would be impossible to pick up? Please tell me! Budget told me they would have to start a whole new reservation and I would have to pay $350 more which was just shy of double the price I had procured. I refused to be "robbed" like that and told them I would make other arrangements even if I had to pay that amount I would not pay Kayak or Budget. I quickly got a car with Enterprise who treated me wonderfully and I paid the same price that I was suppose to pay originally. Unfortunately, Enterprise was located 1/2 mile away on the same road and Budget made me carry all my luggage back to the airport to get the Enterprise Shuttle. Did I mention that they passed by the Enterprise Agency on the way back to the airport? Did I mention I was not a raving customer but a quiet but firm one? Did I mention that I was also a 66 year old woman traveling alone to teach a college course and had 4 pieces of very heavy luggage with books that I need for the course? I will mention that I will never rent from Budget or Avis who happens to own Budget.

Pros: The first problem was my reservation was for 10am. I arrived at 10:45 am and my car was still not ready. Finally around 11:45 which was an hour and 45 mins. late they got a car. They did knock off a little bit of money, but when they ran my debit card they told me they could not take my debit card. It was a mess....I left and went to Enterprise who got me a car that day, it was cheaper, and I had no problem with my debit card!

Exactly what we needed
Pros: The vehicle provided plenty of space for my visiting daughter and family of 4 plus my husband and me. It was easy to pick up and drop off after hours. It was clean and had no issues.

Cons: THE LOCATION OF THE RENTAL WAS VERY MISLEADING; BEDGET AT THE AIRPORT DID NOT HAVE OUR RESERVATION! WE WERE IN DIRE CIRCUMSTANCES!

Cons: The final cost was not the confirmed price of the reservation. Counter person attitude was not one would except for customer service. The person did not go over the details of added items and did not want to say why charges were different. It would be nice if someone went over the car with you instead of pointing out were in the lot its located. Finally, it bothers me that there is an hourly charge for each hour not returned on the exact time of pickup. I was charged $21 dollars for forty minutes of being so-called late in return even though the return time was printed on the paper work which turned out was the time I thought I would have had the car back.

Pros: I thought offsite was via shuttle, when I got to the airport they said I rented a car 30 minutes away and would need to take a taxi and return it there too. This was not clear.

Pros: The car was nice.
Cons: We were given the wrong vehicle, and never told that they changed our drop off time. They did make it right at the Airport Budget, but the first one where we got the car was ridiculous. I don't think Mike knew what he was doing. When I called to tell him about the mistakes, he blamed me for arriving before my reservation time.

Cons: Your site defaulted to a location in St.Louis that WASNT the airport. Seriously? It was 20 minutes away from the airport location. Had to pay twice as much on Avis. not a good first experience..

Cons: I booked a car at one location for a specific price. That location was going to be closed so they sent me to a different location that wouldn't honor price. After many phone calls and much yelling now I have to wait for a refund of the money I was over charged. A nightmare

"Near Airport" rental was on the other side of tow
Pros: The customer service at the Fiat Dealership/Budget Pickup location was great.
Cons: kayak advertised this as ""near airport" when this location is 30 minutes from the airport on the otherside of town. The car smelled like cigarettes.

Cons: I reserved a car for a friend and he went to the wrong Budget office and he was told "sorry, take a cab" to the correct place a half hour of driving away. So rude.

Cons: When I got to the rental place it was a higher cost and then they overcharged me a fuel fee at the end even though I had filled the tank with gas.
