The friendly/helpful approach displayed by all concerned..Next time there is no choice Macdonald without fail - well done
The room was very comfortable and quiet, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
the meal was excellent!
Easy check in, size of room, temperature settings in room. Rooms in need of an update, a little bit out of the way.
The location, very central. Staff very helpful no requirment to find a parking space!!
Very clean & comfortable hotel. Friendly & efficient staff Location was a little further out than originally thought..
The hotel staff were the most pleasant I have ever encountered, they were all lovely, which makes for a wonderful stay. No
the friendlyness of all staff from reception to cleanres. This made our stay the use of leisure facilities. The pool area could do with a little re furb
Being able to use the swimming pool and gym We have stayed here about five times before and have always had a twin room on the Scottish Parliament side of the hotel but this time we were in a double on the other side which we found darker and a little bit noisier. We are used to a bigger bed at home and because of the size of the duvet we needed to put the bedspread across the other way and tuck it in, otherwise there was a draught on our legs. I think possibly when we booked there was only the option of a double room rather than a twin.
very helpful staff The £3.50 tray charge on room service was a bit much
Very convenient with children having their own bedroom. Having a kitchen made it easier for children on restricted diet. Secure parking very useful. 24 hour reception is excellent. Great location but still nice and quiet. Car parking spaces were very small and difficult to get in and out of. The cleaner left some toxic cleaning material in the bathroom by accident.
great room,good location
The location is perfect, and especially impressive for the price. The staff left a little to be desired - the service was a bit perfunctory.
Very stylish and up to date; very central; Nothing
Having separate lounge and kitchen
location/ free use of the lobby coomputer/ the staff are very helpful and very nice. I felt very safe and secure. I would have prefered a more quite room, not located near the busy road. I think the beds could be a bit more comfortable.
Really enjoyed our stay here this week. We even got upgraded to an executive suite which we hadn't asked for which was a bonus :)
Very good location, excellent value for money - wanted 2 bedrooms, apartment cost £90/night for 2 of us. Could not have got that rate anywhere in a hotel in Central Edinburgh at that standard. kitchen very useful and well equipped - living room comfortable. nice to have 2 bathrooms.
Roomy and comfortable. Well equipped. Good location some building work and parking was tight
The high standard of design, the cleanliness and the location make the Aparthotel ideal for stays in Edinburgh
Beautiful, warm and homely with lovely owners who made us feel incredibly welcome! None!
Great people, great food excellent room Shower was cold on the first day
Our host Heather was undeniably helpful and pleasant. Our room had everything we could need (including sherry). Quiet. Bathtub rather than shower. Hot water was warm only.
Comfort of room, size of bed with quality of linens and lots of pillows. Little extras like sherry with crystal glasses, dish with hard candies, large TV to view, coffee and tea for your convenience, window with view, no stairs to haul luggage up/down, visitor information and recommendations from owner when asked. Bathroom fan very loud when turned on
Owners friendly and helpful. Central location. Parking. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed and excellent en-suite.
Personal service .Close to the centre of Edinburgh including Theatre and Princes street . Easy parking and clean and comfortable room Breakfast time availability a bit tight 8.30or 9 am
Courtesy, cozy room, excellent typical Scottish breakfast If you like sleeping... No late breakfast (last entry time 9 am) - but quality of breakfast helps you waking up!
Very warm welcome, lovely room and extremely comfy bed. Excellent breakfasts with lots of choice. Ideal location for city centre visiting, plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
Good service, clean and friendly.
Lovely hostess, very friendly, great breakfast, lovely chats. Nothing!
Small and confortable, with all the required services. Telephone in room was not working for outside lines, reported three times but not fixed.
Good facilities and friendly staff. Clean. Expensive breakfast. Lack of offstreet parking.
Beautiful surroundings, location is ok. Service is excellent. Staff moslty reacted good to ongoing redecoration of breakfast room for example. Single rooms were very small. Noise from street AND from smal hotel corridors started early and ended late: therefore the price of the rooms is too high. Without warning (not even a note) all locks were changed during our stay. No computer available for guests to check websites or e-mail.
Good location and good size of the room. Our room was an adjoining room separated by a door. This was ok until the couple next door decided to make vigorous noises at 6am on Sunday morning.
The best of this hotel was how it was central to Edinburgh. You were in walking distance to all the shops, theatre and main shoppng. The receptionist did not helpfully explain that the parking opposite was quite expensive, but we could of stayed for a few hours in order to unload our cases. Instead suggested going to a long stay car park a fair walk away. The result was me sitting in reception for approx half an hour with all our luggage while I waited for my husband to park the car, and in that time no member of staff offered to take room
I was delighted how easy it was to get a later checkout on the Sunday. Staff were so accommodating. They even managed to rustle up chocolates as a gift to my room in the middle of the night. Top marks for that!
Staff were very helpful. Location was good for city centre. Breakfast was excellent. The hairdriers in the room also not being able to fully open the windows.
We wwere very close to the Playhouse where we had booked a show. Our room was very cold and the temperature showed it had a fault. We felt that the value of the roonm did not match the actual cost.
The standard of professionalism from the staff and the efficiency of the services eg room service was excellent, quality of the food at breakfast was superior I found the location of the hotel inconvenient but the view was spectacular
the pool area was lovely the staff were quite chaotic room service was very slow the breakfast waiting staff were awful
