Other than the rental price gouging during the holiday week, my experience with Hertz was great. The check-in process was pretty fast and my car was waiting outside the office. I chose the Manager's Choice option and was given a full-size sedan which drove great.

it is impossible to deal with the car rental companies in Manhattan, but Hertz on 76th st is the worst of the worst. terrible employees. lack of information. call the number on line and you get a person in the Philippines or Honduras. a totally negative experience. my second time in a year. but never again.

We were charged a different price than quoted (though the estimate hasn't been confirmed yet). We also were told we were required to pay for EzPass through the rental car and that there were high fees charged for it, but this seems incorrect, as Toll By Mail seems available on all roads via an easy online form.
