Cons: Waited over an hour to get my car

Cons: The customer service. There were 2 woman working the desk when we arrived. For a pick up of 5pm we were kept there until 6:15. The attendant walked us to our car and didn't give us keys. We had to locate him for keys again. One of the woman, the one who ran my transaction was speaking like she was drunk, could barely understand her. When she gave us the run down of the insurance policy we could not understand a word. I was charged$18 online for travel insurance yet, had to pay$35 in person bc that transaction was not appearing on her computer. When we dropped the car off I made it clear that I would like to pay with another credit card yet the SAME WOMAN carded my friends card. When I asked for a void she said I could cone back the next morning where someone could help with that. We left very angry. I will never use this service again. I have already emailed about the$18 travel insurance being refunded.

Cons: It took me 3 hours to get the actual car which is totally insane.

Cons: Did not have the luxury car I had reserved (Lincoln MKS) nor anything similar in proper operating condition. Refused to upgrade to Volvo or Mercedes without almost doubling the price. Gave me a choice of 2 SUVs. I hadn't wanted an SUV. I wanted a luxury SEDAN. Ended up in a Ford Edge - at the price of a Lincoln. That, and the more than one-hour wait were the major bad things.

Cons: OVERCHARGED. WILL DISPUTE CHARGE.

Cons: 3.5 hour wait to get car. Not because they didn't have it, but because on average it took 10-15 min per customer to get the car out of the garage.

Cons: The Budget rep at pickup was a complete diva, very rude, obviously played favorites, and was incredibly unprofessional. I'm not sure how many eye rolls, eye brow raises, sighs, etc I had the displeasure of dealing with. I'd asked about the possibility of an early pick up, and right from the get go, with attitude he told me that I had to come back at my scheduled time. I asked if there was any possibility of another car being available early, just to be sure. Clearly, it was an inconvenience to him to lift a finger and do any extraneous work. I eventually decided to wait it out until my reserve time. At pick up, he was even worse. He slammed the pen and contract down without even explaining what I was supposed to initial and sign. In the midst of "handling" my transaction, he kept tending to a party behind me, and for some reason was much nicer to them. I don't even know what I did to this guy for him to have treated us so differently, but it was incredibly off-putting. The car itself wasn't cleaned well. It was very dusty with hair flying everywhere upon opening the windows to air it out. Not ideal, especially for a long road trip ahead which included being stuck in an hour and a half of nyc traffic.

Cons: The wait on the line was more than an hour. I reserved the vehicle 24 days in advance and when it was time to pick up the car at 9 A.M, I did not get in the vehicle until 10:20 A.M. The customer service was terrible as well. There was only one person behind the desk and there was over 10 people waiting in line. I doubt if I will ever return to use your services again. Also I was charged twice for the vehicle and I now have to call to resolve this issue.

Cons: When I arrived to the rental location (at 10:30pm on a Sunday night) the counter was so backed up that I wasn't able to actually pick up a car until over an hour later. No other company at this airport had any line at all (Alamo, National, Enterprise, etc). When I did finally get up to the counter I was told that they only had my reservation in one of the computer systems, but not the other one. I have no idea what this was supposed to mean. They definitely had a record of my name and confirmation number, but they didn't have any actual car for me. I was told that if I wanted to leave I would have to upgrade my reservation to a larger vehicle for an additional $20/day. There was no other choice offered, so I basically was forced to do it. Really not recommended, just spend a little extra for a better company.

Cons: Waited 45 minutes to get a car. Rental associates had no sense of urgency and were texting throughout the entire check in process.

Cons: The service at counter could be more personable

Cons: Customer service. Misleading information in regards to debit card use. Lack of car at location. Had to cancel ride and call an Uber for a 52 mile trip.

Cons: Customer service at pickup was jaw-dropping. It was Sunday AM, 8/20 and the lady at the desk with glasses was very nice, but the gentleman was one of the rudest customer services reps I've come across in my life. He told me I don't deserve to get a car because I came late to my reservation and he wouldn't process me. So I had to wait for the lady to take the paperwork and process me a car to rent the car. Thankfully I was only delayed 30 minutes due to his attitude, but honestly an experience I will be not be testing out with this location again.

Cons: it was sticky as if someone spilled soda

Cons: The interior of the car was dirty and smelt like someone had smoked in it previous to rental. The car was only on a 1/4 of a tank of gas when it was picked up.

Cons: Not enough staff for drop off or pickup. Pickup took us over an hour. Drop off had no one in the lot to take the car. Had to g on inside and there was another line.

Cons: The budget employees couldn't have been more unprofessional. People were walking into work late with a line of customers out the door, 2 of the employees were allowing airport employees to cut in front of the lines and skip paying customers, one employee was flirting with another airport employee instead of helping the guest that were waiting in line, and after waiting 45mins I was told I wouldn't be able to rent my reservation because I didn't have a returning flight or a major credit card (my debit card wasn't enough). I literally moved to New York for grad school that morning (which is why I didn't have a returning flight) and was left with no means of transportation. I would never rent from this budget again and I certainly wouldn't refer anyone to this location. Very unprofessional.

Cons: We waited in a TWO HOUR line to receive a car with a half full tank, footprints on the windshield, marks and dirt everywhere and really rude staff

Cons: Took over an hour to get our car when we were only the sixth person in line, the staff showed no understanding about how slow they were, did nothing to try to speed things up, did nothing to try to explain to the customers why things were taking so long, and were rude when anybody asked.

Cons: The car was filthy. There was some kind of goop all over the dash board so I couldn't even use the radio. The car was in empty with the fuel light on when we picked it up so we had no choice but to fill it up at a manhattan gas station and pay $68! Total rip off! Gas is 1/2 the price anywhere else. Then when we dropped it off they only credited us for $5 of gas at the budget prepay price! Even though I had the receipt and the guy was totally rude! Never ever ever rent from here! We should have been refunded the $68!

Cons: The pickup experience was horrendous! I was late for my pickup - something I did not realize would affect my car selection - and I had to pay to upgrade to a larger car or wait for over an hour for a car to be delivered. The attendant (of which there was only one at the peak hour of friday night!) clearly could not care less about the customers in line.

Cons: The employee at the front desk (Shamel) was so disrespectful. At pick up, he refused to add a 2nd driver and to provide the cost of the insurance, and at drop off he yelled at us for wanting to pay the balance with a different credit card. And it wasn't only us, he was treating all the customers in the office as such... he told some people they had too many questions, he wasn't there to answer!

Cons: I didn't like that the gas tank was only 3/4 full.

Cons: waiting an hour in line (or perhaps linger) to pick up a car when the line is 8-10 people and 2 agents seemed a bit excessive. Further, the SUV which was suppose to be a mid -suv was a small suv and certainly seemed smaller the the ford escape that was listed when I rented (escape or similar). It could have also been cleaned better

Cons: While driving, both tires on one side went flat. They told us it would take 2 hours total time to get back on the road. It took closer to 6 hours. I asked what it would cost and no one could tell me. My roadside assistance said this event didn't qualify so I agreed to use Budget (without other options). Budget later billed me 168 for Roadside Assistance though I paid for full insurance and the car was covered. Frustrating.

Cons: a lengthy queue to pickup the car plus the car wasn't clean internally.

Cons: The agent working the desk was extremely rude and made me feel like I was working for them. I will not use Budget again.

Cons: Over an hour wait to pick up and at the end of my wait the line was twice as long as when I started. Cargo area of the car was covered in dog hair but car was otherwise fine.

Cons: JFK Budget is horrible. Waited over 2 and 1/2 hours in line even though we had a reservation. First car we were sent to looked like a crime scene inside with cigarette burns, stains, and hideous smell. Finally got an acceptable car after 3 hours. Wrecked our schedule completely. Counter staff unbelievably slow and STILL tried to up-sell us on a rental that was extremely expensive anyway. NEVER AGAIN!

Cons: I booked a Grand Caravan (or similar) a month in advance. When I go to pick up my car, they let me know they don't have a minivan! Although they offered to upgrade me, no other car had anywhere near the cargo capacity of the larger minivans. The staff then -- reluctantly -- did a haphazard job at trying to allay the situation. An hour later and without heeding my preference for one of the larger vans, the staff is able to send for any minivan from a partner rental company (Avis) which luckily happened to be a Grand Caravan.

Cons: It took nearly an hour to check in. We reserved a "luxury" car but were told all we could have was a VW Jetta. Had to pay $25 more (for a total of $175! for 24 hours) for a Ford Explorer. Huge rip off with Budget.

Cons: Drop off at Laguardia was inconvenient, and required 2 shuttles to get to my terminal.

Cons: First , I have been standing on the line for about two hours. Second, I have made a reservation like three weeks before the pickup date for a mini van and I already put my age (23) while reserving online. She told me I can't take the minivan because I'm under 25. If I can't rent the class, why the site let me confirm my reservation? My family were with me. The counter has rented me a small SUV which wasn't really enough for us and I had to pay 20 dollars more for lower class.

Cons: LGA shuttle service pick up was very slow

Cons: The line for the reservation counter at laguardia was so long I had to wait for more than hour to collect the vehicle I'd reserved.

Cons: The system is obviously garbage; it took too long to leave and we were late as a result. The terms of use also didn't mention we couldn't use a company credit card because it wasn't in the driver's name.

Cons: The office tried to charge me $250 for excess dirt. There was some sand in the car which I cleaned after being told. then one of the cleaners admitted it was not that bad and he could've cleaned it himself. so the charge was dropped. And in the heat of the argument I forgot to dispute the fuel surcharge that they levied against me (they claimed it was 3/4 full when in fact it was only 1/4 -- I have photo evidence). So I ended up having a bad experience and losing money in the process

Cons: Getting to LGA is not the easiest and the Budget location there usually has cheaper options than the one by my apartment. The process of pickup and dropping off is easy - the location was a nuisance.

Cons: Waited in line 45 minutes to pick up the car. Only 1 attendant serving a long line. The pick-up system was not automated for any customers - the agent was hand-writing information on everyone's forms!

Cons: I waited 2.5 hours in line to get my rental car. The staff was slow inefficient and could care less about the customer. What made things worse was that one of the 3 employees left before her shift was over leaving only 2 people to help the ever growing line of customers. When I final got my car it was dirty and the tank wasn't even full.

Cons: Took standing in line over an hour to get vehicle at JFK. There were two people on staff on a Saturday in NYC. Totally unacceptable!

Cons: Stopped at Whitestone Bridge for Low Balance on EZ Pass

Cons: Asked for the prepay option for gas & it was left off. So, I had to pay for the higher rate on gas when I returned the vehicle (almost double). It was inconvenient that I did have to switch vehicles because of the toll box which was a necessity for me & told the staff at the start. This caused the transaction to take about an hour start to finish getting me on the road later than expected.

Cons: Car blew out a tire on busy interstate and had to pull over to change out the tire. Very scary experience.

Cons: Service was poor in that I waited in line for an hour. There were only 4-5 people ahead of me. They had 2 people at the counter and I really don't understand why it took so long. This was the only bad experience I had.

Cons: The line was long and the staff were so tired and rude. When I had trouble Matt the person completing my order was unfriendly. I didn't realize I needed a major credit card and he just said. That is our policy you can't get a car. He didn't even say sorry or seem to care. I found a credit card to use but he was so dismissive and rude. I waited for almost 45 minutes to be told no without even an apology.

Cons: Bad customer support. Seemed as though I annoyed the attendannt with my questions during pickup. Return customor support was nice but didn't come to my car for a few minutes. Car window was dirty (looked like soap was never cleaned off) -- had to pull over on the freeway to clean it off. I always rent with National and will continue to do so after this experience.

Cons: Its weird. I live in NYC and am otherwise prepared for the "indifferent New Yorker" thing, but this budget office takes it to the next level. The guy who met me when I pulled in spoke in a manner where I couldn't understand him. I asked him to repeat the same thing four times before he finally said "your agreement". I handed it to him, he checked inside the car, handed me the agreement without looking at me, just stuck his arm out while still looking at something in the car, and said "go to the counter". I get to the counter and the guy there checks me out, prints the receipt and hands it to me.....without looking at me! Is horrendous eye contact while giving you things a part of the training?

Cons: Nothing annoys me more that another staffer yelling out about something another staffer did. A guy walked out and yelled about a clipboard while the other two were working on customers. It was unprofessional and it made me roll my eyes. Getting the car is a bit confusing. Was told to wait upfront but when I did and the security guy checked my paperwork, he wasnt sure which one my car should be and then told me to wait and he walked away. I stood for five minutes not really knowing what was going on or if someone was actually helping me. It was confusing.

Cons: Didn't get a receipt at return point from the person who ok'd the car Took about 20 minutes and two transfers to get from terminal to car rental (would be true of all LGA car rentals during construction.) On the expensive side

Cons: Maria my agent LIED to me and said no cars were available & I had to select a utility truck for $40.00 PER DAY or wait I don.t know how long for the car I ordered in the first place.I SPECIFICALLY ASKED HER ONLY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MY PRE ARRANGED COST, SHE SAID YES ($27) PER DAY WAS MY COST SO I AGREED. SHE WAS BUSY DOING OTHER TASKS WHILE SHE RUSHED ME THROUGH INITIAL THIS ,SIGN THAT ALL SIMULTANEOUSLY WHILE ASWERING CALLS & TALKING ON HER PERSONAL CELL PHONE AS WELL AS OTHER WORKERS . WHEN I GOT THE BILL FOR ONLY 3 DAYS &1 HOUR OF ALMOST $600.00 I WASN.T VERY HAPPY. PLEASE MAKE THIS RIGHT BY ME. Sincerely Ronald

Cons: I showed up at 9:15 and there was a line that was at least 30 deep. Also, each party takes up to 5-10 minutes at the counter. I didn't end up picking up the car until past 10:40! Budget and other rental companies at this airport need to improve their check-process so this long-line of waiting can be avoided. Also, the car return area is really far from the rental counter. And the sign for "leave the keys in the car" was not visible until you walk close to the rental counter.

Cons: Good thing I built in an extra hour to start a business meeting, because I blew it all waiting in the serpentine queue at the Budget counter. Three agents and over 2 dozen customers waiting. At 5 min / transaction, you do the math ..... > 40 min. !@#$%^&*

Cons: The lines were long and it took and hour and a half before I received the car . I was told I could pay cash when I returned the car but that was not true. I was told that the car was already checked in so the charge had already gone through on my card.

Cons: Terrrible service. Had to wait 35mins in line only to find out there was no small car. The only car they could give me was 7 people minivan. If I wanted a minivan, I wouldn't have reserved a small car! Never going to use Budget service again!

Cons: I know it was 2:00am but the representative did not great us; just typed on computer, left and went into the back, came back out - only said "drivers license" .. told me I had two reservations and when I tried to explain that I was out of the country and was afraid if I cancelled the first one, the second reservation might be cancelled as well... he just said "it doesn't matter" asked for my credit card - went outside, came back in, pointed to the screen and I went through checking off and signing. he handed me the papers and my cards back and said the care was in C9 -- No customer service skills (but, was very quick)

Cons: Pickup took more than 30 min. Employee was fast but only one counter was open. She couldn't make it. It was rush hour more people should work.

Cons: The car that I book is not existed in the Budget. So, they give me SUV and I extra paid over 120 dollar. I was hour late, but they request 400 dollar. That was fucking insane. Do not use Budget rental car
