Great location. Beautiful hotel
Location was wonderful, room was clean Hotel was dated. Too expensive for what we got. Upon return to our room we discovered our AC was not working. Front desk sent up a tech but he couldn't fix it. So they gave us a fan.... No one from mgmt contacted me and no apologies. Just nothing. I paid less for my room at the beautiful La Cantera the night before.
My room was very nice and had everything I needed for the week. I had a fully size fridge, microwave two desks and a separate room. It was nice to walk outside the hotel and be directly on the Riverwalk with great restaurants like Macy's, Ritas on the River and Iron Cactus just a few steps away. In the evening the hotel offers three free adult beverages with "snacks" but it could easily be a meal. We had chicken strips, salad, pasta and a baked potato available most evenings. The Air Force sends me here for training once a year and I look forward to staying at the Drury Plaza., My dresser was difficult to close, but it didn't bother me enough to report it until I checked out. No other complaints at all.
Enjoyed the kickback and proximity to riverwalk. they charged my card $482 dollars for parking when it was only supposed to be $46. Took them a week to refund the money and then they still charged me for the parking!! What a joke! Where is the coustomer service?
Love the fact that from the time you pull in till the time you leave the staff takes all the stress out of your stay. Also love that you can walk right out the doors and your on the river walk. The only complaint is there is no hotel shuttle to area attractions.
Being an Onmi hotel I had much higher expectations. It was very dark, although they wanted a certain style (not sure exactlybwhat it was, old, Mexican, historic) they didn't pull it off very well. The carpets were dirty and dull, the room was musty and very dark. The staff was very friendly, the location was prrfect, right in the heart of the fun, the bed was very comfortable and the towels were nice.
We stayed river side and enjoyed the balcony view and relaxation. All employees were extremely kind and considerate! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Parking was too expensive.
No free wifi
The location, the staff, the great breakfast, and comfy room Nothing
The construction limited the entrance to a single, slow, temporary, small elevator to the check-in counter on the second story. Hotel services were limited to a makeshift bar and restaurant.
We loved the location, just a block from the RiverWalk. The staff were wonderful. The shower in the room was amazing! The pool was the high-light of the trip!
Location was great and the staff that was working was excellent This was not up to Wyndham standards. Was still under construction which was not indicated on the site. Restaurant was temporary and staffing almost non- existent . Things were old and not updated in the rooms.
The breakfast buffet was an outstanding value. Great fresh food options and really fresh fruit! First room had a strong Lysol-like odor. They easily and immediately changed my room.
The view was amazing and the room was very clean and home like The location was a little sketchy the hidden room fees and they gave us a different room than what we originally booked we booked a deluxe suit and the hotel just gave us a random room and said they did not receive our reservations even tho we booked weeks in advance.
I like the over all feel for the hotel. The size of the room. But looked at the other rooms and i guess for a bit more you gst more space.
The Menger is very historic and literally right across the street from the Alamo. There are lots of things to do that are within easy walking distance that give you the San Antonio experience. The historic nature alone is worth the stay. We didn't get a room in the old, original, historic section. Our room was outdated and in need of renovation.
We enjoyed everything about our stay. The hotel is beautiful, and our room was wonderful. The service was great, and overall the hotel met all of my expectations.
The room was over priced . The a/c didn't work well in the room. The hotel charge me $75 each day without telling me for incidentals , that I didn't even use . I won't be back
Pretty clean and friendly staff
The hotel is drastically understaffed. The housekeeper didn't come by our room until after 7p and that included us calling around 3p to make sure they hadn't skipped us. When we got back to our room that evening, we noticed bags of our trash and lots of other rooms trash scattered down the hallways. The wait staff at breakfast were opening talking about how much they hate their jobs, and the front desk was always full of other guests complaining about something that went wrong with their stay.
Pool was a bit dirty
$70 for overnight parking? In the same hotel you booked the rooms? That is ridiculously expensive.
Clean, decor it No complimentary breakfast?
The bathroom looked old was dingy I felt like I was going to fall through the tub. The pictures look a lot better than the actual room. There was a strange smell in the room. I requested a river view and I would not classify that room as a river view room. I would not stay at this hotel again
access to the riverfront walk and nice pool area.
The bed was definitely big enough. Big room overall There were ants all over our room. At first it was two, I then started noticing them all over our room and a few in the bed the night before checkout. They were in the process of renovating the building, and failed to mention it when I called to confirm my room. Parking was horrible.
Valet, Joe, was very helpful and friendly.
the location 1. the 25usd/day for parking 2. the parking fee announced upon check out only 3. the not very pet-friendly 4. the state of the room
