Great breakfast, lovely bathroom, comfortable beds. Very slow elevators. Unfortunately we were leaving the same time a large group from a convention was checking out and the 3 elevators could not keep up with the demand.

Enjoyed the kickback and proximity to riverwalk. they charged my card $482 dollars for parking when it was only supposed to be $46. Took them a week to refund the money and then they still charged me for the parking!! What a joke! Where is the coustomer service?
I was very surprised that not only did I get free breakfast with my stay but also free dinner (buffet) and 3 free happy-hour drinks each day! The staff was friendly (sometimes almost over-friendly), and the location was perfect. Highly recommend. Room smelled like chlorine when I came in, and the water tasted heavily chlorinated. The room was a bit poorly lit, and the windowsill outside the room was consistently overrun with pigeons. Glasses as opposed to plastic cups would be preferred (for the environment), and a safe to lock up valuables would have been nice. (I prefer not to have to take my passport with me everywhere.)
We have traveled often and frequently. We arrived and found that the best service, ambience, and dining was apparent. Our room was perfect, room for our luggage, etc. Can't wait to return.

Staff was unprofessional. Check in was at 3, we got there at 7 and the room still wasnt ready. While we waited for 45 minutes we had to get dressed in the public restroom and my girlfriend had to straighten her hair in the hallway because there was no outlets in the restroom. After we finally got our room we had to rush to the spurs gsme that we had planned and ended up missing the first quarter all because of the staff at the hotel. We decided to switch hotels the next day. Other than that the hotel was really nice looking.
Great location since we could walk a block and a half to the majestic theater. Beautiful room, nice view, but the restaurant was closed for dinner and the breakfast was $63 dollars. Everything was great. The staff are all amazing and go above and beyond to make your stay even better. I will definitely be coming back. The only thing that was annoying was how exspensive the things were in your room mini bar.
The construction limited the entrance to a single, slow, temporary, small elevator to the check-in counter on the second story. Hotel services were limited to a makeshift bar and restaurant.
Bed was comfortable Bed corners are very dangerous, I end up with bruises because bed woods expand from mattress and you can hit your legs easily unless you are very careful. I had the opportunity to talk to other guests and they complain about the same dangerous corners. Bathroom have to many gabs on counter and your personal products can fall while cleaning is happening and you will never find them. If your leave something you have to go to a website to file lost and found. That is very far from what is the main reason of hotels, customer service...... Very poor in that part. Most rooms the city view is the windows of the next building.
We really appreciated the location of the hotel, it was really convenient in that sense, it was within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The staff was also really friendly. Almost everything was perfect, but it would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room to store our own food and drinks. Also one of our beds was squeaky and that made it uncomfortable to sleep on so better beds would have been nice.
I liked the friendliness of the staff, the attentiveness of the staff always willing to help. Hilda the housekeeper kept the room cleanliness very well and orderly. I am happy with my experience. It was a great location right on the river walk.
The staff was nice except for housekeeping. The location was nice. Parking was good. Housekeeping staff were rude. The pool was dirty, the rooms are poorly ventilated. Woke up and everything in the room was damp. The carpets in the room were nasty and stained. The staff started vacuuming the hallways at 9:30 at night while my kids were sleeping. The kiddy pool tile was crumbling.
I thought that the facility was clean and comfortable. Staff that we encountered were all pleasant. We visited during remodeling so check-in was a bit odd. I also thought the shuttle service was a bit weak. There are so many places to travel in San Antonio that market square seems like an irrelevant spot to travel too being that it is only 2 blocks away.
Great location but due to construction getting to hotel can be tricky. Hotel is newly redesigned it seems and was very welcome and bright. Room was great size and staff was wonderful Not sure what happened but when we arrived and decided to use the restroom it seemed that someone has already been there and sprayed the toilet lid and left their pubic hair
The hotel is drastically understaffed. The housekeeper didn't come by our room until after 7p and that included us calling around 3p to make sure they hadn't skipped us. When we got back to our room that evening, we noticed bags of our trash and lots of other rooms trash scattered down the hallways. The wait staff at breakfast were opening talking about how much they hate their jobs, and the front desk was always full of other guests complaining about something that went wrong with their stay.
Free parking and shuttle service were very pleasant surprises based on previous stays in San Antonio. Loooong walk to our room

Bed&linens were very clean and comfy. 4 pillows per bed! The staff was friendly from the front desk, to restaurant, to the maintenance guy who brought us pool towels. I was traveling my myself but had a couple friends visit to use the pool and it was great. Lots of families, but quiet rooms can't hear other guests Hot tub bubbles were broken.

Close to downtown Internet connection was terrible. Mold coming out of our AC. No ice machine on our floor. Carpets were dirty. Bed was not so comfy.
Got there about 11 am. Had a nice clean room ready for use. Staff was friendly. Had a free shuttle to take use to the river walk so we were save in an area we did not know. Not thing. Everything was great
Valet was wonderful, staff was very friendly. Easy to get in/out of hotel. "River Walk" entertainment area was within 10 minutes. The river walk portion it is close to is far from the "River Walk" entertainment district. Room had black hair on the ceiling in the bathroom.

The breakfast buffet was an outstanding value. Great fresh food options and really fresh fruit! First room had a strong Lysol-like odor. They easily and immediately changed my room.

The view was amazing and the room was very clean and home like The location was a little sketchy the hidden room fees and they gave us a different room than what we originally booked we booked a deluxe suit and the hotel just gave us a random room and said they did not receive our reservations even tho we booked weeks in advance.
The room was nice and clean and we had a view of the riverwalk from the room. Wifi was free, not all hotels in the area offer free WiFi. The wait for the elevators at checkout time were intense. We were on the 20th floor and ended up taking the stairs all the way down bc the elevator was full every single time it came to our floor.

We only stayed for one night so this was perfect. I like how they had an option for gel body wash instead of the bar soap that leaves your skin feeling kind of tight. I like how the valet guy suggested we park for free on the street instead of spending money on valet since we would be there for one night. That was really helpful and he seemed to genuinely care for us to save $$$! We are a young couple and brought our 5 year old so every bit counts. The walk from the boardwalk was only about 10-15 minutes but still fairly close to the hotel. We came earlier than our check in and when I asked the front desk if our room was ready so we could possibly check in early she seemed to have kind of an attitude. We mainly came out to swim and when we went swimming the bottom of the pool felt as if it were coming up? Like as if there was a film covering the pool which was kind of interesting. While in the hot tub there was a couple smoking pot which was not okay, seeing that there were children and families everywhere. When the staff came out to check it out he did not do anything or tell them anything. The couple had thrown whatever they were smoking off the roof so they weren't caught with it but it was fairly obvious that they were smoking. I thought that they would've handled it differently but the staff member seemed okay with the situations and even told the other staff me ever that everything was okay....when that was definitely not.
I didn't know that when we made our reservation that we had been sent to a third party site. My fiancé had an emergency at work and we needed to reschedule. The hotel was fine with it, but it had to be done through the booking site . Unfortunately the booking site wouldn't allow it. We lost our money I will never book a hotel with kayak again. Nothing
The view and customer service was great! No microwave or fridge. Not very clean. Found hair on our beds and some towels. Mold in shower and in sink.
Location - location - location - right on the Riverwalk. Conference facility was well laid out and easy to navigate and handled our 300 attendees well. Concierge was very nice and helpful, as was transportation staff. Food was above average, especially a lunch that was part of our conference. Had a billing problem that hotel desk staff (including manager) seemed unwilling/unable to resolve. Problem rested with the hotel, but I had to go to our conference coordinator to finally take care of it. Unnecessary run around that should have been quickly resolved. Room WiFi normally requires extra fee ($9.95/day). Only free in the lobby. Luckily, my conference arranged free WiFi for attendees. Seems a poor method of getting a little more money out of a guest.
Great location The bed was uncomfortable. I got a discounted rate thru booking.com and still paid too much for this room. The bed was hard and creaked. I would expect this at a cheaper destination but for $190+ per night this is just unacceptable. Also, who charges $30 a night plus tax for parking? IN SAN ANTONIO?? Who are you trying to fool? We know space is not this much of a commodity. Felt ripped off. Will absolutely not stay here again, and I'm definitely avoiding the Wyndham name in the future.

The bed was definitely big enough. Big room overall There were ants all over our room. At first it was two, I then started noticing them all over our room and a few in the bed the night before checkout. They were in the process of renovating the building, and failed to mention it when I called to confirm my room. Parking was horrible.

Location and attractive lodging. Did not have our reservation, thank goodness I had our confirmation # and papers with location since we were there for a "Bowl game weekend". They blamed the booking agency for not having our reservation. It appeared they were understaffed and was perhaps poorly managed.

The location was near downtown SA and the accommodations suited our entire needs. I had to get accustomed to the pets/dogs barking and in such close proximity to us.
We were in town for the alamo bowl and caught the bus right down the street which worked out great due to traveling with 6-adults and 2- little kids Wish the price per room had been a little less - we paid $129/night x3 and some sort of "multi-room discount" would have been nice...but on the other hand, we did make our reservations within 2-weeks of a big holiday week event and were able to stay inside the loop downtown at a reasonable price - so I have little room to complain

The convenience to the river walk was nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We also reserved two rooms one with a king bed and another with two double beds however they gave the king bed away to someone else and we ended up with double beds in each.

The staff initially was friendly and courteous but eventually that was not the case. The staff we not able to fix the problems with the rooms. They were rude and annoyed with our multiple calls for assistance just getting into the rooms due to the door not accepting any of the 9 cards that were created for the one room. I would do a trip to a holiday Inn again, just not this location
The location was great, not right in the busiest part of the Riverwalk, but for the price it was a pretty short walk! The pool was small but nice. The rooms seemed fresh and new-ish. The staff was friendly and helpful. No free breakfast and the Coke I bought in the lobby cost $3, but for the price I paid for the room that wasn't a HUGE deal. The parking cost extra but that is normal for hotels on the Riverwalk.
This hotel is extremely clean! The rooms have wood like laminate which is so nice compared to gross hotel carpet!! The staff was really friendly. I loved the location on the Riverwalk. I would stay here again!
The room was very comfortable, including the bed and pillows. We asked housekeeping in the hall on our way out for more pillows and not only was the gal we spoke to obliging, but she asked if we wanted soft or firm. The pillows were waiting when we arrived back to the room. We loved that the flooring was not carpet...that gave the feeling of it being even cleaner plus it would make it more hypoallergenic or those with allergy problems. The icing on the cake was the complimentary bottle of champagne they delivered to our room for our anniversary. Not a thing!
Sleeping in the bed. The outrageous parking fee. $62. For a 24 hour period. I didn't need the room serviced but I did put my full trash can just outside the door in the am and it was still there when we checked out at 4:30 pm. The room was fine but not worth $250 a night. I thought it would be something special for that kind of money.

The only thing that was not up to par was the breakfast menu and the sevice that was offered. I believe the resturant was not open for the time posted for breakfast and coffee was the only thing availabe for a timely departure.

The location by the riverwalk What I didn't like is the gym, the website makes it sound nice. It has a 1 treadmill and weights the treadmill didn't work. The pool is very small the beds are too hard uncomfortable. Website also says fresh bake cookies at check in no cookies and when I requested still didn't have them ready.
I love how close it is to the main River area and the cleanliness. Also, I liked the decor. I didn't get the pool view as it stated what I booked the room.
the location was within walking distance to the Riverwalk locations that we wanted to visit. The hotel bartenders at night were great and served very interesting concoctions. The room was clean and comfortable, the AC was cold, there was enough parking, staff was courteous and helpful. we will stay here again. parking per night was expensive, the bar/restaurant had limited hours in the afternoon, towels were small, wanted more drink specials
It has a great location in downtown San Antonio and it was very quiet and clean. The room was a little crowded with furniture but what I really didn't like is that I was looking for a hotel with a parking lot in downtown San Antonio and although this is one it came with the surprise that I would have to pay extra for it which makes no sense, so after all it is a little expensive for what you get.
My room was dirty. There was a pair of men's shorts left in night stand from a previous guest. Bathroom was dirty. Bathtub was dingy. Dust built up on wall board and on side tables.
Location, Premium Suite, Breakfast/happy hour being free. Overnight parking cost, No fan in bathroom.

I liked the managers reception, breakfast, valet parking, location, and pretty much the whole stay. Room was comfy and very clean. Didn't really like that check in was at 4 and no wiggle room on early check in, and the bathroom could've had a couple extra bottles of shampoo.
Embassy is always consistent in their accomodations being nice, this room though needed updating in the furnishings, and wall coverings had excessive wear. Hide a bed couch was very uncomfortable to sit on. Room was not vaccumed prior to our arrival as evidenced by spent sunflower seed shells in several places on floor around room, and we don't eat sunflower seeds. Very pricey valet parking, 150.00 for 5 nights!
Staff is excellent. Justin was extremely helpful to me and family. We arrived after midnight tired and hungry. He assigned our room ASAP and took excellent care of us. We were no longer thirsty nor hungry. The hotel manager is very friendly and easy to communicate with. The kitchen staff is extremely accommodating. My daughter enjoy the breakfast. Kick back, housekeeping, & security thumbs up.
It was in a very convenient location with good amenities. Service was friendly as well. The very expensive parking.
Location on quiet end of Riverwalk and cleanliness
Convenience of location. It indicated free parking in location amenities, upon arrival I was advised it was $31 valet parking and $15 parking but not overnight stay. So I paid around $50 in parking fees, within 3 days and that was not in my budget.
The rooms were great, and the housekeeping was so kind. We had a great experience, and were able to walk most places since the hotel was right on the riverwalk, and near restaurants. The front desk staff gave my kids balloons, and glow bracelets for the 4th of July- huge bonus! We were able to purchase our SeaWorld tickets through the hotel as well... for a discounted rate. It made everything smooth and easy for our visit to the theme park.
It was right on the riverwalk. The maid never cleaned the room. When we got their the shower was dirty and the whole time we were their no one cleaned it. The pictures online made the room n pool look a lot bigger then what they really were.
One staff member in particular was extremely friendly and always greeted us with a smile. She would acknowledge the children as well and give them high fives every time! The hotel itself was very clean and very well kept. We enjoyed using the fitness center in the mornings. The bed was really uncomfortable and the mini fridge did not really keep anything very cold.
the hotel is very clean and it looks modern and fansy. staff is very nice and helpful. facilities are excellent. breakfast and 24h beverage supply is very satisfying. the location is a bit far away from the core downtown area, but not a big deal for most people.

Staff seemed slightly irritated that I booked through an agency other than Marriott when I called to verify the reservation. I was actually advised not to do so in the future by the Marriott staff. Food overpriced. Bathroom looked clean but had a musty smell to it.

Great staff, great rooms. Traveling for work, we used the lounges "Living Room" like spaces to meet and catch up after each day at the trade show.
The staff were very polite, the room was lovely and well-kept, the location was pretty good, especially for the price. My mom and I walked to the River Walk and other attractions without too much fatigue. I wish they served free breakfast. The area was a little scary at night... the surrounding area is not well-lit, so I my mom and I felt a little vulnerable walking back from the city. No one approached us though.

They allowed us to check in 3 hrs early, and they didn't charge us the early check in fee. The Air conditioner was super loud and it made it very hard for me to sleep. Also the beds were double beds not queen, I'm used to sleeping in a king and going to a double made it very hard. I'm not sure why hotels are making there rooms with 2 beds double beds.

The only thing we truly liked was the "contagious, frank and sweet smile of the staff lady who clean room 622 for us. Her attitude, her generosity, but most of all, her professionalism outstanding " We truly believe that the Hilton Corporation should send the managers and front desk personnel to the same training program where the maintenance personnel goes and hopefully they will learn at least a bit of common curtesy. The lack of curtesy, honesty and professionalism from the front desk. Management is nonexistent at the hotel there. Incapable of solving problems; what we got was a lot of excuses. We stayed at room 418 on 05-28-2016. People in room 419 had the tv at full volume; after several requests and trips to the front desk, we finally convinced the front desk to move us to a different room; we were moved to room 622 ; the air conditioning system in this room is extremely noisy. Needles to say we were not able to sleep at all that night. We checked out the next day and refund for one night is being processed. We strongly believe that we should get a refund for the night of the 28. We had stayed at the Double Trees in Houston and Dallas, but sadly the one in San Antonio is horrible; even the cookies are not the same quality as the ones in the other hotels. Jose Minas

Every employee that I met was very helpful and friendly. They always said hello and asked if I needed anything. The shuttle service to the area attractions was a nice bonus. (One of the shuttles could stand to have the interior repaired). Our room smelled bad. I realized the odor was coming from the bathroom. Everything was clean and well stocked but there was a bad odor. It was wet musty old smell. So maybe just the age of the building-not really sure but I did dread going to the bathroom.
Very comfortable beds! We had to pay $15 for parking, which was fine. But when we returned to our hotel for the night there was no parking available. The garage was full of cars that had no parking tags. We complained and they ended up refunding our $15 fee.
Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. The shuttle service makes it easy to major destinations. Location is not the best, but the free shuttle service compensates for location.
