Terrible pick-up experience
Pros: Car was new, clean, and drop-off was quick and painless.
Cons: Arrived in the evening to find the Advantage desk closed, and a sign sending us to EZ Car Rental. There, we waited in line for over two hours just to reach the front counter. Terrible pick-up experience.

Cons: rental was suppose to be a suburban or equal even called the week before to confirm got there and was told that they do not have this class of vehicle. then I was told that I would only have 150 miles a day instead of unlimited miles I needed this to go to McAllen Tx a 1100 mile round trip to pick up 6 family members with luggage. will never use advantage again

No car despite reservation
Cons: We had made a reservation, but when we arrived, they said that they would not have any cars available for at least 1.5 hours. I don't think they understand the concept of a reservation....

Cons: I arrived and they said they didn't have any cars. I told them I had a reservation. They said they wouldn't have cars for 30 minutes. I waited to 45 they still didn't have cars. They sent me to the E-Z car rental desk saying that it was there sister company and the cars were coming through there. I went to EX car waited in line 20 minutes and they told me they still didn't have cars and it would be a while I said-"What's a while" they said at least 45 minutes or longer. Over all I waited 2 hours and never got a car. I finally called UBER to get a ride. I and the company I work for will never use Advantage or E-z cars again. A memo is going out to that affect to all employees across the country. This was the worst rental car service I have ever had in 41 years of renting cars.

HORRIBLE! Do not rent
Cons: The company had a massive line when we got to their front desk at the DFW airport. The man that was in line ahead of me turned around and asked if I had reserved a rental online for $177. I told him I had, he then chuckled and said the rest of the line did too. When you get up here they will tell you they do not have anymore for that price. They will then tell you they have several vehicles for a higher amount. I made a HUGE mistake going with the cheapest I could find. Don't fall for it people. You get what you pay for. My family and I turned around and rented at the desk from AVIS.

No cars available.
Pros: Price was excellent. Service was pretty good - I don't blame the clerk.
Cons: I had reserved a full-size car. When I arrived, they had no vehicles available except a minivan. I had to wait at least 15 minutes and when no cars were available, they had to get one from another rental agency. I had to then walk over there to get the keys. I have only rented from Advantage a few times but not sure if the great price is worth the hassle.

DIS-Advantage: I will NOT be a repeat customer.
Pros: The rental was just what I expected - the right type of vehicle, clean, etc.
Cons: The rental process was a nightmare. First, Advantage had decided to close for the evening (before 7:00 pm), which meant that they herded you over to partner E-Z Rent-a-Car where the experience went from bad to worse. When I arrived there were six customers in line - when I finally departed 50 minutes later, there were an unlucky 25 behind me with only two agents working the desk. One of the two agents, with people waiting in line for 30+ minutes, declared, "It's time for my break" and proceeded to go to a room behind the desk but within eyesight of the customers in line and causally eat a snack or dinner. In this case, for the first time ever, if I could give less than a "1" for customer service. I will NOT be a repeat customer.

NO RESERved Van
Cons: Arrived in DFW after long day to be told there are no vehicles. No deal offered. company is a hot mess. Went to Alamo.

Cons: I was sold a "toll" package and never saw a toll road on my trip. Wasted money. Also, I signed up for the "return empty" option, but when my receipt got reprinted for taking a different car it was omitted.That was worked out when the car was returned, but it was a hassle.

Pros: I liked the price of the rental.
Cons: There seemed to be some confusion among the employees among pickup. Had to wait about 20minutes. The car was not washed when we picked up. Not a big deal, but the team did not seem to be on their A game that day.

Very positive experience
Pros: Vehicle was the model I requested, Toyota Camry. It was quite new, with less than 2000 miles, and very clean. Service was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Off-site airport location is the only downside, but the shuttle comes regularly

Over $350 mistake
Cons: Reserved car from Love Field Tx. but I was at DFW - My fault so I understood when I lost discount to rent from DFW. Advantage then made me upgrade because their other cars damaged by hail. I was charged over double from what I was originally charged. Nice way to treat customers.

Lots of dings on the rental car
Pros: Car handled fine and got good mileage
Cons: Car left a lot to be desired. It had many dings on it so care wasn't a priority. I mistakenly left my sunglasses and case in the car and would like to get them, if they are found, but I don't hold much hope for that. Facility to pick up and drop off the car left a lot to be desired. while we didn't wait too long for the bus to take us to the airport, we were picked up in the middle of their parking lot. If it had been raining, it would have been a disaster. I would not recommend this facility or company based on this

Pros: I got an SUV and it drove great. Ladies at the counter were nice, the men at the lot were too, but not overly friendly. I would rent again.
Cons: If I wasn't already familiar with the area, I would have had trouble returning the car. They did not offer me a map and the car had no GPS.

Location hard to find

Horrible coustmer service
Pros: Picking the car up was easy
Cons: Getting the car back was impossible! GPS Took u to the wrong location it was far away from every other rental car place. I call coustmer service and they could not help with directions, I called 15 times to the local # no one would answer the phone.. When we finally arrived no one came to greet us to tell us where to return the car, the signs were tiny. Then made us to move it we almost missed out flight!!! 3 other people waiting with us shares stories of the same experience in extremely disappointed. As many to limes as I've rented cars I've never had to deal with such incompetence and disregard for people's time!

Cons: Inefficient staff. Rude. Left an item in vehicle, returned 25 hrs later. It wasn't found... It was stolen. Left 3 voicemails, none were returned.

Cons: Do not book. It is not an on-site rental as the website suggests. Had to take some random shuttle and walk across the way to get there.

Cons: It took over an hour to get my car. Then I got my car, it smelled like smoke. I asked that they bring me a new car and they said no. I would have to come and also don't forget to refill the gas tank. I explained I was not close and why do I have to refill the gas to come bring it back? Any ways, will never use them again. They also over charged me for my rental and would not refund.

Greatly Misquoted price
Pros: Had no problem with advantage.
Cons: I was quoted a price of $167.33 including all taxes and fees I added the fuel option for $16.64 my bill was $249.20 . $65.00 more then quoted. Witch were taxes and fees I would have never booked the rental at that price. I would have made other plans. ... But once I was there I had no other options.

Pros: Friendly courteous service, vehicle was wonderful. Quick processing of our reservation and on our way quickly.
Cons: They closed the return facility and didn't notify us so we had to take car to another facility - A time delay not anticipated when trying to catch a plane. I think they could have called us and advised us of the new dropoff.

Pros: The shuttle drivers and customer service folks were nice. Car was comfortable and brand-new.
Cons: Kayak advertises the Advantage place as "on-site." It was a 15-20 min shuttle away, definitely not on-site anymore. They moved locations between Dec 2015-Jan 2016. The info pack they give you to the return area has an address that sends customers to the middle of SMU's campus. And, in case you need to call them, they provide a phone number that is only answered Mon-Fri 8-5. Very unprofessional on a corporate level. I needed them on a Saturday. I looked on my maps and drove toward the airport in hopes of just leaving the car somewhere there. I happened to see an Advantage shuttle and just followed it around until I arrived at the return lot (in the back of some warehouse?). They charged me for the extra gas, of course, but I caught my flight with 5 mins to spare. What a joke.

Pros: Speed and friendliness at the checkout counter was great, I ended up being a dummy and reserved at Dallas Love instead of the actual airport on accident and they worked it out, greatly appreciated.
Cons: Condition of the car on the exterior was rough.

Pros: Management noticed the long line at airport and made a proactive effort to accommodate everyone quickly. Manager at airport had a high level of self-awareness and was actually very impressive. Everything else was sub-standard.
Cons: It was not mentioned on the 3rd party website that this rental would require a shuttle (which is why I selected Advantage initially- for convenience). 7minute shuttle ride if you catch it at the right time, so be prepared. Arrived to a parking lot w/ a trailer run by a generator. the Shuttle drive doubles as the guy checking you/your car out, so expect more delays- he's only one person. He also didn't know where in the lot my car was, which was concerning. My vehicle was covered in bird poop, which normally I wouldn't really care about so much, but I was going to a funeral, so it was very embarrassing being in the funeral line w/ a car covered in bird droppings. Interior wasn't so clean as well (candy wrappers, dust etc) Also- i'm sure this is some type of Texas thing, but if you plan on driving a distance, you need to get a highway toll pass- so expect to tack on another 6.95 for a toll pass, otherwise you'll get his w/ a $25 +toll cost after you rent your vehicle.

Pros: It was easy-peasy to rent from Advantage. It was even my first time renting a car and Brittany at the Love Field location made it absolutely easy to figure out! I'll definitely use Advantage again!

Timely Professional Rental
Pros: The car was available as contracted. The airport shuttle service was available without a wait. Everyone from the shuttle driver to pickup was friendly.

Pros: The shuttle driver was professional and courteous.
Cons: The drop off location at "dallas love airport" was actually not at the airport but located several miles away in a parking lot with a trailer. no staff was waiting to take the car. it took 30 minutes to find the location and calling the rental car company did not help as the i was on hold the entire time. also googe maps marked the location in the airport. once found it took at least 15 minutes for someone to inspect the car before i could get to the airport. as a result i missed the flight and was looking at an extra 245$ to get another flight out the next day

Pros: The young lady at the main counter was very nice and courteous.
Cons: Van took too long to pick me up from the airport. I saw multiple other rental car agency vans come and go for over 30 minutes before mine showed up. When I got to the lot, I had to go look for somebody to show me to my car. The office is just a run down, dirty, old trailer. The car lot is a small make-shift rental car lot. It almost looks like the company is squatting on somebody else's parking lot. The car was not very clean and it vibrated like the tires needed to be balanced. The car made an annoying beeping sound every time I drove over 35 mph. When I returned the car, I had to, again, go find somebody to help me. Not a very professional operation and I will never rent from them again.

Advantage are thieves!
Pros: The price was fair.
Cons: First of all They tried to over charge me by $130. and I'm still fighting with them about that. But what really had me angry is I accidentally left a brand new pair of shoes in the car. Still I'm the box and everything. These were a birthday gift from my Military son whom I hadn't seen in a long time and who I was just returning from seeing. Well anyway I left them and realized it a few minutes down the road. Well of course I turned around and went back for them and was told that they would have to return them in the morning per policy. Well I called them back this morning and they told me there wasn't anything left in the car!!! Their employees STOLE my property!!! And now the manager won't even call me back!

Never use again
Cons: Called two hours before my flight landed to let them know it was going to be late and to find out what time they closed. They told me midnight. I showed up at 11:40 and no one was there and the lights were off. The sign there said they closed at 12. The driver of the shuttle said that they do this often to people and leave them stranded. I ended up having to rent from another place that was double the price. When I called to try and get some sort of compensation, they said they would send it to their boss and get back to me. It's been 3 days since then and I've heard nothing.

Cons: The drop off/ pick up location was dimly lit. The person who assisted us barely spoke a few words. The car smelled a little like mildew.
