Verbal declined every add-on, including LDW, but they charged me for it when I returned the car. I have my own full insurance and never accept LWD or any other coverage. The LDW charge was more than the actual rental. This is an absolute scam and probably a deceptive trade practice.Reviewed Nov 28 2022

I reserved a mid sized car. Company did not have one available upon arrival. I guess they don’t understand how a reservation works. They gave us a SUV which ended up costing us more money in gas. The car was filthy inside and out. Three hours into our vacation we received a call from home telling us my mother in law was in grave condition. After making arrangements to return home on the next available flight, I contacted Dollar to inform them I would be returning the car at 4am the following morning. I was told that would not be a problem. I had the car for 16 hours and was charged for entire weeks rental. No offer of any kind of credit for future rental. When I arrived at 4am to return the car, the company was not yet open. We had to return the car to the Hertz rental company down the road and take their shuttle to the terminal. We were not made aware of this the day before when making the arrangements to return the car. Considering the reason for our early return, emotions were high and nerves were short. A heads up as to what to expect would have alleviated some unnecessary stress. The airline and hotel were more than accommodating considering our situation. Dollar, however, was not. I would not rent a car from them in the future if it were free. Dollar needs to see and treat their customers as human beings and not just another fare.Reviewed Oct 26 2022

Confusion on return location. GPS did not recognize address on contract folder. Called Dollar customer service. They provided another address. Went there and was at the back end of the Dollar property but could not enter. The rental car performed well.Reviewed Sep 25 2022

From the moment we walked up to the counter the gentlemen helping us was very rude and had an attitude towards us for no reason. Then when asked about the car we reserved he quickly cut me off and said, "yeah we won't guarantee the car you booked is here, you will just get what we have". We specifically had reserved and asked for at least a 7-seater due to our family size, he got an attitude and said "well you will just get whatever we have so if you have an issue with it I guess just follow me to the garage and you see can see for yourself." So we walked out (he actually walked very fast and completely left us behind). When we got to the garage, he showed us a Nissan rogue and when I said well that wont work he again cut me off and said Well that is the biggest car we have so I can't help you any further and started to walk away again leaving us in the garage. Then another employee came over and started laughing and called the employee over and said "man that's not even an L4" and pointed to another much bigger car and said, "that's the car they need bro". I thanked the other actual helpful employee and then the one who was originally helping us just got another attitude towards me and said whatever you can have that one then come back inside so we can finish your payment. By the time we got back inside I was frustrated to say the least, when I made it back to the counter the first thing the gentlemen said was okay and theres an extra insurance charge the cheapest you can do is $300 so you will do that one and we can process your payment I need your card. There was no explanation or anything it was just very rude and so I said forget it all and just walked away. I will never use your service at DFW airport again.Reviewed Jul 29 2022

No inventory available while traveling with a family of 7. Was forced to upgrade to a van that was having mechanical issues and customer service was unwilling to financially accommodate until the vehicle return. There was blood on the drivers seat, back seats were covered in sticky trash, and the tank was half full when it was marked as full. Pick up Our rental as soonest we drove out of town the oil light came on Check the oil there was no oil in the car I had to put oil in the engine so I won’t burn out on our trip also Windshield wiper fluid was out also had to refill it Front bumper under plastic came off rubbing in the highway This car was poor serviced and was not maintained Very bad experience with this rentalReviewed Jul 26 2022
