Pros: Staff tried to scam us into using their insurance despite having more than sufficient coverage through a top tier credit card. Unfortunately all other rental cars were sold out in the area, so we simply hired a driver and then rented locally to our hotel without any issue.

Cons: The car was dirty and wore out. Rented from Budget a month earlier and got a brand new larger and much nicer SUV for less money.

Refused to honor my Visa collision insurance and forced me to overpay!
Pros: Car was fine, and I was able to drop it off at the airport before they opened.
Cons: I showed them the letter from Wells Fargo stating that my Visa covers collision damage "up to the entire value of the vehicle" but they refused to accept it because it did not show a dollar limit. Never had this problem before with any rental company in my last 15 Costa Rica rentals.

Pros: Pick up and drop off were easy.
Cons: The online price does NOT include the extra $350 in insurance that we had to pay on pick up. The protection offered wasn't accepted or required. Country specific information should be provided upon rental online. Not weeks later, at the counter in a foreign country.

Mandatory insurance?
Pros: The total price advertised was false. If the country requires mandatory insurance, the insurance should be included in the total price. I feel I was baited and switched, due to the false advertisement of low prices.

Cons: The surprise insurance add on, that was WAY BEYOND what was expected and not advertised in the on-line price. Also told there was no option, had to pay for it.

Good to Excellent overall
Pros: We often rent cars in Costa Rica so we are familiar with the stated price, combined with the mandatory insurance, so no worries there. Car was in good condition and we were in and out of the rental agency quickly.
Cons: I was told the to return the car anytime before the 9 o'clock closure, but when we returned at 7, we were told we were supposed to have the car back by noon and were charged another day. Make sure you get the return time clarified and in writing.

Cons: They don't open until 5am so we were waiting when they opened to rush to our 6:50am flight

They were not there when we arrived.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I called their international number to provide my flight information and was assured that someone's would be there to pick me up when I arrived even if my flight was delayed. I was left stranded at the airport with no car and had to rush make alternate araingements. Scary and unfrofessional treatment.
