I love how fast the check-in was and check out was even faster. Park the car and leave it there as as that. The car given was great, came with all the current safety features and plug ins for charging electronics.Reviewed Mar 27 2024

3 1/2 hours in line to pick up car. Everything else was good. They are simply short staffed.Reviewed Jul 6 2021

Despite having a reservation and pick up time for the vehicle, there were a staggering 40+ customers ahead of me also waiting for their vehicles. I had the last and only vehicle in my category. The person at the desk was great but the nearly an hour waiting to be served was unacceptable- especially at the highly inflated rates.Reviewed Jun 24 2021

Cons:They didn’t explain the charges and “upgraded” me to a car that cost double what I reserved with hidden charges. When I asked if any other less expensive vehicles were available the agent just said no. I was too tired and hungry to look somewhere else.Reviewed May 16 2021

Pros:Pick up was a nightmare. Super long line to pick up. 1.5 hours. Check in staff kept going on breaks. Very unorganized and took way too long. Drop off was a breeze.Cons:Quicker pick ups. Stop harassing to get insurance.Reviewed May 15 2021

Cons:Shuttle bus takes forever, pickup takes forever, you lose hours just waiting for these clowns. then they don't have enough cars or the right type of cars and don't know what to do. Worthless.Reviewed May 10 2021

Cons:The gas tank was only 3/4 full when we picked up the car. When I complained about it at pick up I was accused of being “picky” — right after being informed that I’d be charged nine dollars a gallon for gas if it wasn’t returned full. Wack.Reviewed May 8 2021

Pros:Car itself was good, fine ride. Drop off at Palm Springs airport was very simple and hassle free.Cons:Pick up line at Los Angeles airport (LAX) was very long. Took about an hour to pick up the car, and for a while was outside in the hot sun; so was not a pleasant wait.Reviewed May 6 2021

Cons:2.5 hour wait to get inside rental building. Another 45 minutes inside. Security guard said it has been like this for weeks. 12 windows to service available and 4 windows open. The thrifty “manager” spent her time talking to Hertz employees who were not busy and evidently not allowed to help. Full size car was “unavailable” was asked to take economy with no discount. After being pressed by me they were able to find full size. There were several available. They were trying to save and up-sell economy renters. Car was filthy, cigarette stench was rough. Sand and what looked liked cookie crumbs between the seats and on the floor. Went back inside to exchange for one without the cigarette and was told I would have to wait in the three hour line again. Took my garbage car out the exit and directly back into the return area and was able to get a competent manager that took care of it. She was “amazed but not shocked” but the condition of the car. An extremely friendly hertz manager got a new full size car from thrifty and sent me on my way.Reviewed May 5 2021

Pros:The gentleman (owner?) came to pick me up very quickly, was very friendly and helpful.Cons:The car wasnt the greatest. The usb port worked but pulled out from the car frame when i tried to unplug my phone charger. I heard strange noises at one point every few minutes and eventually figured out it had something to do with the stereo being on. While the stereo was playing i would hear a sound like something going up or down just periodically for the first couple of hours of driving but the sound eventually stopped and i did not hear it again. Otherwise i think the car was fine. It was very clean.Reviewed May 3 2021
