They don’t give you your connecting boarding pass when you leave the country. You have to go through China’s bullshit customs service three times just to get to your next flight. Chinese customs is like a bowl full of retarted fish smelling their own farts. Six people doing nothing while one blithering idiot Stubles through paperwork."
Pros: "The Chinese people were wonderful! But I was required to pass thru security checks 3 times arriving. 3 times transiting and 3 times leaving. At customs, transit and departure. No common sense to their process only"letter of the law". For example I was taking beef jerky to my friends in Thailand but the Chinese security has a meat sniffing dog and they confiscated it as well as the girl in front of me More than $100 worth of jerky. They should have given it back at departure gate. I had to buy more in their duty free shop. Also they cancelled my flight without advising me but did get me on Thai airways later that day. Too much hassle to Transit China"

Cons: "Xiamen reps at KUL didn’t let me board because they said my middle name on boarding pass didn’t match with the name on Chinese transit visa. I got this Chinese transit visa just to transfer because of the airport layout and that part was also didn’t make sense. They didn’t accept my middle “Y” on the boarding pass and it was so much of hassle to argue and finally let me through. Will never fly again on Xiamen."
Pros: "I thought I had ordered a vegetarian meal but I had not. The crew was helpful in getting me an extra one and heating it up for me without me asking. I thought I would just skip a meal but was thankful I did not have to do that."
Cons: "I was sitting in a middle seat next to a very broad shouldered and tall man who also had a middle seat. He could not help taking up space in my seat because of his large size. It was a very long flight and very uncomfortable and cramped. I wish extra large passengers could not be given middle seats as they need more room."

Cons: "Overall comment: It’s supposed to be international flight but I and my family, all US CITIZENS had to check in at SFO in the beginning where the staff was very helpful n did her best n told me that I would have to claim baggage one time in China. We had to claim baggages at Qingdao n drag to find hotel with one security guard’s broken English helping me for directions to potential hotels- no help at all otherwise. In the morning, we checked in with all baggages at Qingdao but they refused to do it all the way to KTM. Very very rude n unfriendly staffs. At Kunming, we dragged all baggages with our tired kids n checked in for the third time in one outbound flight n almost had to go through baggage check for lithium battery with the fact that it was the same baggage passing security in SFO then Qingdao and having no lithium inside. It followed a very very painful scrutiny n security which involved my 10 year old, a lot part of which seemed inexperienced n unnecessary. They took my daughters portable charger simply because it was wrapped with fancy tape"

I had to buy a whole new ticket (that was much more expensive then the one I already had) on top of the one I already purchased and now have to attempt to get refunded"
