Cons: Ace did not explain the costs in full. The final cost was only laid up on me upon my return to the airport. We all know about airport, and municipal taxes but the price I ended up paying was double what I was originally quoted. I rented a car to for only $100 to travel I70 to Vail. I inquired the day before if that vehicle was good enough and was told it was fine. In researching once I landed in Denver I discovered the car I was renting was not legal in the I70 passes and would be illegal! I feel Ace had me then over upgrade, I ended up paying over $500 from an original $100 rental. Aced didn't have any understanding of what would work or not work on I70. They were green and somewhat misleading. I never do ratings or reviews but thought I should in this case

Pros: Price was very good, much less than other agencies. Car was New, less than 3,000 miles.
Cons: Hard to find location, although the return directions were good, there were no signs, even at the gate that the agencies was inside. Luckily I paid close attention when I picked up the car or I could have given up trying to find it to return.

Uncomfortable pick up
Pros: Drop off was smooth and professional.
Cons: The pressure to pay for extras - insurance, Toll Road meter, fuel, etc. - along with the fear tactics inside a temporary building made us feel like we had made a very bad choice. The car they gave us was filthy - especially on the outside. The phone number we were given to call for pick up routed to the Fort Meyers office instead of Denver, so we had no idea whether a shuttle would ever come pick us up at 10PM at night in the cold. Communication was very poor all around.

Pros: Cancelling my reservation and leaving was the highlight of the 4 hours I spent at Ace.
Cons: Their sketchy shifty sheisty attitudes and countless hidden clauses. The managers attitude with myself, other customers and on the phone. I didn't like being downgraded in my reservation from the SUV i was getting the night before until an error w my card. 15 min later my bank fixed the error but ace wouldn't process it because they were then tecnically "closed" so they drove me to another rental place open 2 hours to sit and wait for them to reopen at 5am. I took attitude do shuttle from Fox rental back to the airport then another shuttle from the airport back to ace. Ace has no signage for their pickups and if you need to schedule a pick up that number only gets you to some Florida office nowhere close to Denver. I was given one thing and then after a night of frustrated waiting the morning rental person tried to charge me 20-50 more per day for what was already in the computer from the previous night. He told me my only option was to wait until 10 or 11 and hope... this at 7am... so i waited. Eventually the manager came and threatened me to either book the reservation he had for me immediately "or you can get out n go back to the airport" He acted like he was hoping for a reason to be violent or something. Having dealt with his kind before I reacted politely and chose to simply leave w my things after I booked a new reservation w another company which went very smoothly and reminded me how happy I was to be out of and never return to the hell hole known as "Ace" rental.
