Standard car rental features, clean and efficient
Pros: Fast return with no hassle, very close to a nice A/C building
Cons: A bit confusing about parking and return.

Pros: Great gas mileage. Clean. Great price. Spacious car. Comfortable.
Cons: They didn't inspect the car accurately on the slip and I had to return to the Albuquerque once I discovered the chip in the windshield. This added 1.5 hours of driving to my trip. :((

Pros: Nothing- I did not get a car.
Cons: Don't use Advatnage- even with a reservation, they will send you to another provider and won't lift a finger to help.

Slow and not customer focused
Pros: The cost when I MADE the reservation.
Cons: The cost when I went to pick up the car. The car I reserved was "being cleaned" and would take quite some time to arrive. Asked if I would like another car that was already available, I agreed. It was $100 MORE than the one I reserved. The agent went back and forth with other available cars -- this price and that. Told me my skis wouldn't fit in the one I reserved anyway (they would). Finally, gave me a convertible Mustang that he assured me the seats would go down to put the skis in. The seats didn't go down. I rode with skis in my lap. All this took over an hour!!!!! What a clusterf***! Never again, Advantage. Never again.

Left me without a car for Thanksgiving
Cons: They asked me for drivers license and creadit card. I gave it to them and they asked for proof of insurance. I gave them that. They then said they could not rent to me because my insurance didn't specify that I had full coverage. They changed their policy so that people with a local ID have a mileage limit of 150 miles and they have to prove they have full coverage. I told them that I have rented from them 50 times and on the 51st time they changed their policy without notifying me. The lady felt bad, but feeling bad did nothing to help me get to Thanksgiving. I ended up having to change my plans. Too bad. They have always come through for me in the past.

Nothing to Complain About
Pros: The car I used was clean and had a full tank of gas. The staff members who checked me out/in were prompt and polite. The car handled well and got decent mileage. There wasn't anything not to like about the experience.
Cons: It would have been nice to have gotten more choices on the car I was renting. I wanted an American car, but none was available. The rental process at the counter was slow. If there had been a line, I suspect I would have been very frustrated by the wait. That said, there was no line, so I can't really complain.

Wrong class of car
Pros: Nice small car, but we reserved a full size. Good shape, very clean, good mileagevery helpful staff.
Cons: Got the wrong car. But was offered a refund on the difference so it all worked out. A little tight inside, we are big people.

Pros: Wait to get vehicle from arrival time to airport was ok. Not too long.
Cons: The car was very dirty on the outside and just okay inside. I told the attendant the outside wasn't clean and her reply was they don't have a dryer, those are water spots. I'm sorry, I know the difference between dirt & water spots. I happen to be in the transportation/limousine industry.

Cons: The counter guy was trying to talk me into an upgrade and additional insurance. I know that's just what they do, but it gets old.

charged me for an upgraded car I did not reserve
Pros: Car functioned properly but windows and exterior of car were filthy.
Cons: The car type I reserved was not available when I arrived at the Advantage counter in Albuquerque, NM. They told me I had to upgrade to a luxury vehicle which would cost $10 more per day. I told them that I should not have to pay more for an upgrade since it is their fault that the car they allowed me to reserve online was not available. They refused and said that they have no control over the types of vehicles they have available on the day. If I was going to be driving a car in the "luxury vehicle" category (a Ford Taurus in their ranking system....), I would have to pay extra for it. I continued to push my point of view to no avail. I said I would never rent from them again and they had no reaction, no apology. It was terrible customer service. I should have walked over to another rental car company on the spot, but was in a hurry. With all the competition out there, I would have thought they would have cared about my future business and done the right thing by the customer. I will never recommend Advantage to anyone.

Pros: Our car and rates were excellent.
Cons: We left super early in the morning and Santa Fe didn't have an evident after hours key Dropbox.. We (and others that am) were rushing around trying to figure out what to do and were told by another rental company to just leave our keys in front seat of car. A bit unsettling. Rest of experience was great.

Pros: The price was unbeatable! We rented an SUV for $150 a person - for a WEEK!
Cons: Nothing, I will definitely be using Advantage again if the price and value continues to be the same! Thanks!

Pros: The car was clean and full of fuel
Cons: I booked a car on line it was a Chevrolet impala or similar full sized car. When we arrived to pick the car it was a Toyota camry .In my opinion a camry is a mid sized more like a Chevrolet Malibu. When I asked about the impala I was told they don have that car .I'm a first time customer and this will be my last. Do not let this company take ADVANTAGE of you.

Cons: very confusing agent. was not thorough. the car was dirty and scratched yet the agent said it would be a brand new car and she did not have to inspect it. bad overall experience.

Pros: Car was great! Very nice.
Cons: They didn't have enough people to check folks in. I waited for 20 minutes and I was the second person in line. There were 10 others behind me.

Cons: Car was very dirty. Also previous passenger had smoked in car. Need to let next customer about this. Car reeked of cigarette smell. Very uncomfortable.

Poor customer service
Pros: When I finally got a car, it was a Mustang convertible. Not worth the hassle, however.
Cons: As seems to always be the case with Advantage, the line at the counter to check in was long and slow moving. When I finally got there, the service rep checked me in, took all my info, confirmed the card I'd reserved, and then said, oh by the way, we don't have that car ready, you are third in line, and it will be at least a 30 minute wait. I waited about 10 minutes, and went back to the counter and said I'd take a smaller car. She took about 5 minutes to go outside and check, only to come back and say none were ready. I finally said that was unacceptable, that they'd have to give me whatever they had at the price of what I had reserved. 15 minutes later I finally got a car. Not acceptable service. I've nothing but bad service with this company over the past couple of years. I will never use them again.

Don't Rent from them
Cons: They gave me a filthy car that was full of dings. Stains on the seats and dirty inside. I went back and asked for a different car, and I got a slightly better car. No apologies. I had it for a week. I had tried to amend my reservation for 3 days and no one ever answered the phone. The tire pressure light was on, so they never looked, or cared. I was told to call back the next day, so they could amend my reservation. I spoke with some one who said they would call me back in 20 mins, and never did. I called back the next day (day 3) and finally got some one who could help me. When I returned the car, there wasn't any one in the lot to return it to. I had to walk around for 10 minutes before I could return the car. This at an airport return lot. They have been bought out by a company who is running them into the ground. Go else where!!

Cons: They didn't have any cars available. Evidently they were sold out. I'll continue using Kayak of course, this was the first and only time I've reserved a vehicle through Kayak and not been able to access a vehicle. Fortunately I was able to rent a vehicle from nearby competitor, at a somewhat higher price. I'm curious how this happened, as I'm sure you are. Word...

no car when arrived after booking months in advanc
Pros: Dollar - the car company in the next kiosk took pity on me at 11:30 PM on Sat. night and gave me a car at the same prce - boy was I lucky! The Dollar car was very excellent and so was their service. Again - very lucky that they were next door and gave a great deal!!!
Cons: When I arrived at the desk - the agent said she had no cars left! Never had that happen! I would say at least 6 people that were renting were in a similar situation!

OK, part good, part not so good.
Pros: Price and value. The car itself was new and good quality. Rental shuttle service at the Sunport is shared with all agencies, and the service and schedule are poor.
Cons: Had to get a second pre-drive inspection due to weak documentation of existing damage. The deposit policy was unusual and not previously disclosed, and proved to be a pain. Pickup was slow for a variety of reasons.

Cons: said i was renting a jeep Cherokee and got something completely different, no 4x4 and then had to extra 400$ to get what i needed was very disappointed

Great car, great price, but smokey
Cons: After we drove away we began to smell and feel the effects of a car that had been smoked in and covered up by air freshener. As my wife and I are both very allergic to cigarette smoke, we had to drive the whole trip with the windows down or cracked enough to let in fresh air. The good news is Advantage gave us 20% refund upon out return and lodging our disappointment.
