Slow and not customer focused
Pros: The cost when I MADE the reservation.
Cons: The cost when I went to pick up the car. The car I reserved was "being cleaned" and would take quite some time to arrive. Asked if I would like another car that was already available, I agreed. It was $100 MORE than the one I reserved. The agent went back and forth with other available cars -- this price and that. Told me my skis wouldn't fit in the one I reserved anyway (they would). Finally, gave me a convertible Mustang that he assured me the seats would go down to put the skis in. The seats didn't go down. I rode with skis in my lap. All this took over an hour!!!!! What a clusterf***! Never again, Advantage. Never again.

Left me without a car for Thanksgiving
Cons: They asked me for drivers license and creadit card. I gave it to them and they asked for proof of insurance. I gave them that. They then said they could not rent to me because my insurance didn't specify that I had full coverage. They changed their policy so that people with a local ID have a mileage limit of 150 miles and they have to prove they have full coverage. I told them that I have rented from them 50 times and on the 51st time they changed their policy without notifying me. The lady felt bad, but feeling bad did nothing to help me get to Thanksgiving. I ended up having to change my plans. Too bad. They have always come through for me in the past.

Nothing to Complain About
Pros: The car I used was clean and had a full tank of gas. The staff members who checked me out/in were prompt and polite. The car handled well and got decent mileage. There wasn't anything not to like about the experience.
Cons: It would have been nice to have gotten more choices on the car I was renting. I wanted an American car, but none was available. The rental process at the counter was slow. If there had been a line, I suspect I would have been very frustrated by the wait. That said, there was no line, so I can't really complain.

Wrong class of car
Pros: Nice small car, but we reserved a full size. Good shape, very clean, good mileagevery helpful staff.
Cons: Got the wrong car. But was offered a refund on the difference so it all worked out. A little tight inside, we are big people.
