Flight got delayed, so I was late to pick up, and by then, they told me they already cancelled my reservation. Completely absurd that my reservation would be cancelled. Then in return, I needed the shuttle to get back to the airport. They told me 15 minutes. I waited 20 minutes before asking for an update. Told me 10 minutes since they were "backed up". Waiting another 15 minutes before coming back inside. Then they had a staff member bring me to the airport in one of the other cars on the lot. Why I had to wait 40 minutes for this solution, unknown. But they merely just drove us to any drop off terminal, which was not my terminal, but did not bother to ask what terminal.
I opted .to use my own Sunpass for tolls and not FLEX Rent A Car. No where in their rental agreement does it state that I could not do this. Before leaving the lot, I added the rental vehicle‘s license plate 61BRLG to my Sunpass Toll account and received a confirmation email from Sunpass. I then affixed my transponder to the windshield. When I returned the vehicle they kept my $400 deposit for tolls. I have spoken with them about this and they are stating that I used the toll roads after opting out of their Sunpass program. That is because I was using my own and, again, no where in the rental agreement does it state that you cannot do this. By not giving full disclosure, I can only assume this is just another way to get money out of unsuspecting customers. I have filed a dispute with Sunpass as I have read online that they have kept many peoples deposit for one reason or another. If I do not get results I will be taking them to small claims court as the wording in their rental agreement needs to include "you are not able to use your own Sunpass for tolls" and it does not.
No one answered phone for pickup until 15 minutes
The car that I paid for was unavailable when I arrived at my destination. My flight was delayed and I was told that they only hold the vehicle for 1 hour after scheduled pick up time. I then needed to go to a counter in the terminal to rent a vehicle. Of course I had to pay a premium price and am also out the original prepaid fee. I have never heard of a rule that only allowed you to be able to receive the prepaid rental vehicle within 1 hour of scheduled pickup! I didn’t even realize what time was listed for pickup. Never again!
