The car was filthy! Not disinfected at all, not cleaned at all! The car had a thick layer of dust on all surfaces, dog footprints on the the floor covers, chocolate ( we are hoping) on the doors, handprints and just overall dirty...this during raging Covid cases in LA.Obviously, sticking to the "Hertz Gold Standard of Cleaning" or just cleaning the car as expected.

A simple process made easy. It has better choice of cars and the price is lowest in the market. More importantly, Hertz care about the customers and listen to their concerns.Wish they had a closer dealer near me.

great car for what I needed, easy to pick upoffice closed from noon to 1, which is when I came to return it; there was a sign but I didn't notice it when I picked up the car, and just expected the office to be open during normal business hours

Never AgainNothing about the experience was good.I reserved a large SUV. I received a few hours before I was to pick up the car that they didn't have a car for me. They didn't seem to care and acted as if it wasn't their fault. Last minute I was given a minivan. On top of not getting the car I reserved AND PAID FOR, I was charged about extra $300 for I don't know what. Never again will I rent a car from them.

Employee Power TrippingThe car was clean.When I arrived to pick up my rental the Hertz employee informed me that my reservation had been cancelled because I showed up late. I have never had that experience before but she told me I could come back in 30 minutes and see if there would be leftover cars I could rent out. I asked her what would happen if there were no more cars and she said that since my reservation was canceled, there wasn’t anything else she could do. This sounded incredibly fishy to me so I called Hertz corporate customer service and the representative told me that all Hertz employees honors reservations for 24 hours. The representative called the Woodland Hills branch to sort it out and when I walked back to the counter the woman rented me out a car immediately. First of all super shady business, the employee’s lies nearly ruined my long planned road trip. Second she was not even apologetic for delaying my time. I really couldn’t get over the way she straight up lied to my face. Super unprofessional and mean.

Roadtrip went smoothPick up and drop off was super easy. I got a super comfy and clean SUV for a trip from California to Zion national park in Utah. The sirius satellite radio was convenient for the areas that get no signal. I liked that there was no extra charge for driving to other states and we had unlimited miles. Our car had gotten VERY dusty with dirt from our campsite, but we just gave it a quick was and and vacuum/cleaning inside, so we didn't have to pay any cleaning fees.

Cancelled our Reservation onsite and didn't refund us moneyNothingWe were denied our rental because we tried to use a debit card and they ran a credit check (our credit scores aren't great). Which wouldn't have been a problem normally, but it was Sunday just before noon. All the rental car places around us close at noon on Sunday. By the time they told us they couldn't rent to us, everywhere else was closed. It took us 2.5 hours to find a replacement car and we had to uber 20+ miles to go pick it up. Then to top it all off they didn't refund us our money.

Hertz service just continues to under-deliverCar was fine, that's about it.Every time I have to deal with Hertz, it seems to get worse. First, it took nearly 45 minutes to pick up my car because the gate agent was incompetent. Then when i returned the car, they tried to charge me more, and when I protested, they said it was because I was an hour late, then they decided that it was because I hadn't returned the car with a full gas tank. When I pointed out to them that I returned it with the same amount of gas that I picked it up with, they admitted they were wrong and reversed the charges. I don't know where they found these people, but I won't be going back.
