Cons (-) Online when we booked it stated that it was a free breakfast which coming to the hotel is not true. We had to agrue with them to get a free voucher. Then the staff told us the wrong time for breakfast so we missed it. They hotel key system is very annoying. You had to scan your key many times to to get it to work for the elevator.

Pros (+) The staff was polite and breakfast was good. The common areas in the lobby were also very nice.
Cons (-) My room was extremely noisy. Lots of noise from the highway, noise from the elevator. It took 20 minutes to get hot water in the shower . The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows needed to be replaced .

Pros (+) The staff was very friendly and knowledgeably. The bed's mattress was very nice. I think it was memory foam. Everything was clean and our room was spacious. We didn't use the pool,but saw some families using it and enjoying themselves. We go to Louisville to visit our daughters about 4x a year. This will be our go to hotel.

Pros (+) Comfortable bed, friendly front staff, nice lobby for what kind of hotel the HGI is, convenient access to the room from the parking lot
Cons (-) Unlocked outside door, bathroom was basic, didn't like being directly across from the pool area, small room

Pros (+) 8 Up is a wonderful place to dine. The weather being nice- the roof top dining & drinks outside was fantastic
