The incoming flight was two hours late, so the departure was late. Our arrival in Paris was late. We made the flight, but our luggage didn't. Our return flight from Paris to Dulles was half an hour late because of people from connecting flights. We arrived about 30 minutes late, but no big deal (unless you had a connection)"

My pregnant wife and I made it to the gate 4 minutes before the scheduled departure and they told us the plane was already gone and there was no way for us to get on the plane. Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."

Cons: "We had to transit in Addis (connecting from Dakar) and the whole experience of going through the Addis airport, getting the voucher for the hotel, and going to the hotel was horrible: it took forever going through immigration and getting a simple stamp on the voucher (the latter an unsafe experience and time consuming, with hundreds of people piled up to get those stamps from just two people, crashing again each other, with no order, no lines). Somewhat there has to be a better way to manage this and make the experience safer and more comfortable to everybody. For instance, just enforcing to stay in line and organizing the lines would have saved everybody a lot of time and effort."

Cons: "I wasn't looking forward to the 11 hour flight, however the 4+ hour delay was a significant inconvenience. We were on the tarmac in Abidjan for almost an hour, before we were informed that there were some technical issues. We were told it was a minor issue, until clearly it was a large enough issue as a lot of time passed by. Air stopped flowing so many passengers including myself became uncomfortably hot and dehydrated. The flight attendants only came down the aisle once with water, which was not considerate enough given that the air stopped flowing. Finally close to two hours later passengers we instructed to disembark without mention of how long the wait would be. We re-boarded the flight after about an hour and only then were informed that there was not enough power to fly the plane. Once we took off the air flow returned and the flight overall was pleasant. While safety of course is a priority, especially for a long overnight flight, communication could have been much better."

At one instance I was locked in the washroom as the door was not opening from inside, until I had to call the attendant. Entertainment options were limited. Food was below average. In one of my meals I got opened and melted butter. Cabin crew was not responding to the calls when I needed water. I finally got it after ringing 4 bells and 45 minutes. Overall, a terrible experience and would not choose to fly with Ethiopian again."

One guy checking boarding passes for both business and economy. Very slow with again no crowd control. Children were not given priority. Eventually many people went through business queue while others had been waiting in economy. Ground staff were standing around watching and not helping or communicating. Poor show from Ethiopian!"

Cons: "The experience from the airport to the plane to Lome was beyond troubling. If ever you are flying internationally from NYC, never fly from Newark New Jersey. Nevertheless, upon boarding the Ethiopian Airline flight to Lome that was supposed to depart at 9:15 pm, the courtesy of the flight attendants was a bit mundane. My mother and I sat on the plane for about an hour after the time of the depart before inquiring why we have no moved and the doors were closed. The flight attendant responded with, "We shall be moving shortly." The air conditioner was barely on. My mother is battling stage 3 Cancer and is an older woman so, I feared for the safety of her health in such a condition. About 30 minutes passed, and we inquired again. This time with a different flight attendant and she said she just did not know what was going on. Other people on the plane began to panic in a sense as well because like my mother and I, they too had a connecting flight to catch. The pilot did not inform the passengers of what was occurring. So, at this point, all passengers on flight ET509 had been sitting on the plane for an hour and a half. By the time we were sitting on the plane for 2 HOURS with the doors closed the pilot finally informed us that they were waiting for some paperwork. He did not apologize or give more information as to why we were sitting on the plane so long, with practically no AC, and weren't informed about when we would be pulling off. About 10 minutes later, the plane began backing up while people were still standing because they were restless with the wait especially when we had a 10-hour flight ahead of us. The pilot then got on the loudspeaker stating that we will be pulling in the air shortly and for the flight attendants to be seated. The pilot did not apologize for the inconvenience or state how long the flight would be or what time we would land in Lome, Togo. Once we were in the air, there were many safety hazards administered by both the crew and pilot. The seat belt safety information was not given, the exit areas in case of emergency were not discussed, what to do in case of an emergency, where certain equipment would be in case of illness or an emergency, and we were still not informed about the cause of the 2 hours and 15-minute delay. My mother and I consistently checked the flight tracker and it did not show the duration of our flight, our location while flying, no flight information was displayed and as hard working paying passengers we should have had all of the information and not have to continuously ask to get a slight answer. Also, I am a vegan and they did not have food for me. But there was a flight attendant who gave me extra fruit which I greatly appreciated. The flight coming back to Newark was decent, going was the major issue. I pray we are accommodated for these great inconveniences. Because to have spent almost $3,000 and receive this type of treatment is both saddening and disturbing to me."

Listening on earphones I was able to hear everything clearly. Why it had to take so long just to give me earphones I don't know."

Our ticket was somehow suspended BY THEM so we had to call an office in a different country to unsuspeND then we were able to cancel. No help at all and kept dodging responsibility and forwarding the problem to other offices. Would book a different airline to avoid unneeded stress."

Pros: "It's extremely convenient to be able to fly from Manila to Addis Ababa with only one short, 1-hour stop in Bangkok with no need to change planes. And from Addis there are flights leading to multiple African destinations. So nice not to have to make connecting flights first to Hong Kong or Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. It's a very convenient airline route. The plane was a new Dreamliner 787, the staff were professional and pleasant and the food was plentiful and pretty good."

I had the red Medina local wine, and I can tell you it's really Good! Dry, similar to a good Italian. Not lyin! Small bottle, 2 glasses, comes with the meal free. Maybe more free. but I didnt ask since I took a nap."

Cons: "I left my luggage at JFK and I can't get someone to help me how will I get my luggage, because I live in Philadelphia. I want to know when I can come to get my luggage, because I live far from New York, but I can't get no body on the phone. I don't want to come and your office is not open, that means I will spend for nothing. I came on the 20th of April from Casablanca and arrived at JFK at about 6:20PM. Can someone contact me. Cons: "They flight was delayed a day on the departure and delayed two days on the return. The airline did not compensate for inconvenience and when I emailed them they did not have any substantive response. The tickets were cheap, but not worth the extra cost in hotels and time. I would highly not recommend this airline."

Cons: "In-air service not on par with Emirates, Qatar and Turkish airlines. Even in coach they offer hot towels before meals. I pushed service button for water a few times which went unanswered. The attendants were very nice and when you finally got their attention, they were helpful. A better in-air service strategy should be considered."

Cons: "I missed the flight because I couldn't hear the announcement and because, as it was for the other flights, there was no notice of embarcation. They were no help in being able to provide a solution. I was told to call my booking agent which was in the US; I asked where could I get a calling card they told me, and I kid you not, that I could ask the janitorial crew to go outside to get me a card if I wanted to call. If it was for them, I would have stayed in the airport until I died they wouldn't have cared. I have traveled a bit and I don't think I've ever experienced something like that. I am from a under developed country, so I do understand low quality of service but this is just a matter of being human. Thanks to my friends and family in the US and via internet access I was able to purchase another ticket since I was told that because my ticket couldn't be refunded (???) I couldn't simply pay a penalty and be placed on the next flight. If you are someone of African ascendance and do not want to be treated like fecal matter in human form, avoid that airline. My great aunt is from Maroc and she's an amazing person. I guess they don't make them like that in Maroc anymore."

Cons: "Flight left 4 hours late from DC. Crew on ground in DC were not helpful and provided no info. I missed my flight to Malaga on Sunday and could not get a flight anywhere else in Spain that day. Got the runaround from crew in Casablanca. Kept sending me to different people after waiting in long lines. Put us in seedy hotel in bad part of Casablanca. It was a very stressful experience."

The planes have no entertainment and I feel as though I was targeted and asked to move my seat 3 times before take off! Will not be flying Air Maroc anytime soon."
