No Car at Washington Regan DCA
Pros: Clean and new Minivan
Cons: I attempted to rent the vehicle from Washington Regan Airport (DCA) and the reservation went to Washington DC. A DOWNTOWN LOCATION. I had to take the Metro with my family and get lost trying to find a nearly hidden location under a building. I am a very frequent traveler and rent many cars. This switch was part of the reservation system which shows cheaper cars from other locations than the one you specified. There was over a $300 change from the airport location and the downtown location hours were 7am-7pm which doest allow you to drop off your car earlier for early flights. I will be very hesitant to use the Kayak site again.

Pros: The vehicle was very clean. The representative was very helpful and personable. The price and terms was just right. No long wait. Fast friendly service. A pleasure doing business with you.
Cons: Having to leave a 200.00 deposited for using a debit card. That made it a lil inconvenient.

Quick paperwork and a great experience
Pros: Easy booking through Kayak , less than 5 min to find reservation and signed all papers, car was clean and nicely ready.

Cons: Initial car we were provided with was not in good shape - damage to rear bumper, battery in poor condition, radio didn't work. a dead battery left us stranded for a few hours.

Cons: No directions to find the rental desk, on a hot day the address wasn't enough. I wanted a small car, they didn't have any.

Cons: I pick up the car with an empty gas tank and returned it empty too but i was charged for the empty tank. I am asking the company to refund the amount of money charged to my debit card Poor axplanation of the bill upon drop off Thank you

Excellent Customer Service

Dirty, understaffed, overpriced

Cons: When I arrived at Union Station, the counter location was poorly marked by the signs throughout the station. I ended up walking out to the car pick-up location based on the signage, which was incorrect and required me to walk back into the station, which was a bit annoying given I was running late for my appointment. After I got back to the pick-up spot, the counter was clearly understaffed as the gentleman, while very friendly, was running around and unaware of the process to check the car out to me. It took about 30 minutes from the time I got to the counter until I got into the car. When I got into the car, which I thought was supposed to be a Volkswagon Jetta (it was a Nissan), the car was an absolute mess and not cleaned at all. Stains, splatters, crumbs, and smell. Given the fact that the price of the rental was more than double what I would pay at an airport, I felt this experience was incredibly overpriced in general, but especially for the service and experience that was provided.

Pros: The Alamo staff were all very friendly and helpful, great service.
Cons: The location of the pick-up at Union Station was a little confusing, but with some help from the staff, we figured it out.

Good Price but Poor Vehicle Quality
Pros: Price was good and pickup personnel were attentive
Cons: The first vehicle (Economy) did not have a working passenger seatbelt. I switched for a second vehicle which had a very noisy ventilation fan/ motor. Unfortunately, it was 20 degrees at the time, so heat and the fan were necessary. In any event, it was only a day trip, so it was not the worst.

Very hard to find!
Pros: Very easy to access from the city Quick & easy drop off
Cons: The place was incredibly hard to find. There are no signs. Instruction in confirmation were not clear enough. We called customer service because we drove around for about 39 mins and they were also not able to give us info on how to get there. They transferred us to the location desk and we were on hold for 15 minutes and no one picked up.

Pros: They were helpful when hertz wouldn't take a debit card. They wouldn't match Hwrtz's (much better) price but did work to give me a discount.

Washington DC Rental
Pros: 1. We picked car up at Dulles airport and dropped it at Union Station with no extra charge. 2. We used the online checkout feature so we were able to skip the line and pick up our car from the lot. 3. Car was clean and ready to go.
