Pros: EXCELLENT SERVICE AND GOOD CARS.
Cons: THEIR HOLDING DEPOSITS FOR OO LONG AND IN MY CASR OVER A WEEK AFTER CAR WAS RETURNED!!!

Pros: Misunderstanding, The plane was late I was tired and didn't pick up my car at the time agree on September 21-2016 it was after 1 AM in the morning on the 22nd. I called a few days later to cancel and make another appointment for pick up with this call I was disconnected three times and on the final call the person said I had to re-apply with a credit card I couldn't use the same card it was tied up with Hertz, so I use another credit card, The first card what's going to be adjusted since I didn't pick up on that date.
Cons: The agent Kenneth in Oklahoma City was not a good agent with me, I had asked for a supervisor he replied there was none at that time. so we tried to resolve our mess. He also mentioned that I was no longer in the system and I try to ask if I was no longer in the system why I had to be charged all over again. Then when I return the car in good shape and fill with gas to the airport hertz my card was charged and additional $79.I sign discussed and wanted to just leave and get back home on the plane.

Cons: They didn't give me the rental there was a lot of confusion and I need a refund because it was prepaid. I ended up using Avis for the rental.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
Pros: Pickup and dropoff were flawlessly easy - it helps that they are right off the metro at DCA Reagan. I got insurance through kayak so we declined the hertz insurance and had no problems with excess charges. Price was great, and the car was exactly as needed. Great experience, would rent again.

Cons: Vehicle was not clean; steering wheel shook at highway speeds, side doors were not smooth opening. Process took a long time as well to get the vehicle.

Great Car, Great Price
Pros: Very clean car, great gas mileage & great staff at Dulles Hertz
Cons: Pickup location but worth it considering the deal was $200 less than neighborhood car rental The EZPass device was ridiculously exoensive

Pros: Car was clean
Cons: Need more signage at airport for returning car. BEWARE, they are great for wanting you to upgrade which of course will increase the cost. Have your agreement available from when you booked on line to confirm the agreed cost. Use of kiosk takes even longer to use then speaking with someone at the counter.

Pros: Very easy return and convenient location. Great value too.
Cons: No one was at the counter when I came to get my car. I waited 20 minutes and no one came. When I went to the garage, I was told he was the only one on duty. Hmmm. A simple sign at the counter could fix this. After that, he was very nice and the check-out was quick. I was also frustrated about the deposit (which was refunded in full). I was told I'd get an email receipt, but no one said it would take a week. So be forewarned of these two details/hassles.

Terrible. Rental was cancelled w/no prior notice.
Cons: My rental was cancelled w/no prior notice from Hertz or Kayak. When we showed up to pick up the car we were told we no longer had a reservation. The agent claimed Hertz had called and left a message. There was no incoming call from Hertz and no voice-mail on my phone. No email either. And no other cars were available. So instead of the $54 week-end rental we had reserved, we had to go to another company and pick up a car last minute on a holiday week-end. This one cost us $280. Cons: Hertz called a day before the rental saying that reservation was cancelled due to lack of cars. Completely unacceptable.

Bait-n-Switch...or Price Gouge?
Pros: Nice van - Kia Sedona is worth a look...lots of standard features on the LX trim line.
Cons: Hertz rep said he'd work us an upgrade -- travelling family of 5 with bags enough for 5 weeks travel...full-size car we booked was too small. Hertz rep promised to upgrade us to a van for a "small fee." Turns out the upgrade was $30/day additional...nearly a $1000 more than my $950 pre-book price for the full-size. Total screw. Won't do this again...let the buyer beware of folks making promises they have no intention of honoring. Thanks Hertz!

Pros: Finding the drop off on Tryon was nearly impossible. Literally hidden. Make better directional signage! The price was great. The check in was super easy. All staff VERY friendly. I wouldn't buy that model of car but it met my needs for this trip.

12 hour drive
Pros: Location in DC was much more convenient than the airport.
Cons: Only one check in agent and he was 20 minutes late for work. I was his only customer and had reserved the car online and it still took a solid hour to check in.
