None of Budget service I liked. The car was so dirty and filthy. They absolutely did not clean the inside car. On the top of that, the car engine was really bad. They need to fix it. There was something wrong with the car that did not feel right when I was driving it. I did not feel safe at all while I drove that 2025 Toyota Corolla - horrible car. That was why I returned the car early than the scheduled. And, the cashier people ‘ping-pong’ me to their pickup people, back and forth walking out of the airport, just to ask for my receipt. Seriously????? Just for a receipt????? I will not use any Budget rental car anymore, ever!! What a horrible experience with Budget!

The car I reserved had flat tires - they up charged me for the next available vehicle. That vehicle smelled like smoke inside as if someone had been smoking heavily in it and it wasn’t cleaned. That vehicle also had problems with the air pressure in the tires as well as the key being alerted with a low battery. It felt like all the vehicles there had some problem. They also charged me for fuel reserve when I didn’t ask for that, and I had to call Hertz corporate to have them remove it after I saw my bill. I felt like they tried to slip that in without me noticing. Definitely one of my worst experience is renting cars, and I’ve rented a lot of cars.

The pick up and drop off were fine in both cities. The car was dirty and the windshield was so filthy I had to stop and buy window cleaner to see safely out of the window.

The agent at my drop off was rude. He told me to park the car in the garage and bring him the key. He did not inspect the car with me or ask how my rental was or help. I gave him the key and he said he’d email the receipt. I got no paperwork. He should not be working with people- rude, uninvolved with his job and not a good representative for Avis.

Extremely disappointed with my experience. I attempted to reserve a rental vehicle and was told that a credit card was required. I had a valid debit card with sufficient funds available, but Avis refused to accept it for the reservation. What made the situation even more frustrating was that no alternative solution was offered. I understand companies have policies, but customer service should be able to provide options or accommodations, especially when a customer is ready and willing to rent a vehicle. Instead, I was simply turned away without any effort to help me complete the reservation. This experience was inconvenient, frustrating, and a complete waste of time. If you don’t have a credit card on hand, be aware that you may not be able to rent a vehicle, and don’t expect much assistance in finding a solution.

We had to change our pick up time due to delays. We tried calling the Albany location MANY times but no one answered. Then we called Avis directly and they said there were no cars available if we changed our time, even though we had booked a vehicle. We ended up with no car and had to find alternate transportation. Terrible customer service!

Rental itself was fine. I had an issue at the end of my trip—my flights home were changed, and I had to modify my plans and drop off the car at a different airport (Philadelphia instead of Newark). The agent was able to modify my itinerary, but I was charged a large additional amount to do this VERY disappointed, prob will avoid Alamo in the future.

The car was good, it was a bit loud in the car, I’m not used to driving vehicles that don’t keep the outside noise outside, I had to turn on the radio to reduce the noise from the vehicle. It sounded like you could hear the noise in the back of the car somewhat like the car had an open window or something? Besides that it was easy to drive and had good leg room.
