At check in, the woman tried to “upsell” me from a Mercedes Benz that I reserved to a Subaru Outback. No way! After taking FOREVER to get through the line and convince the woman that I really wanted the car I reserved, I hopped into the car and drove off as I was late. In my rush, I forgot to check the gas tank, so was surprised when the empty gas tank icon popped up on the dashboard as I was trying to navigate crazy NJ freeways. What kind of car rental place sends you out with an empty tank!!!

We prepaid for the car and when we got there they said there is a problem and you need to call the main office. After 20 minutes on phone trying to get a real person, I gave up and rented a car from Avis for $100 less than Sixt. The people at the counter would not help me at all and wouldn’t even get anyone on the phone for me to talk to. I will never use this company again

I paid for one car when I reserved and then they downgraded me when I got there but told me I still needed to pay for the more expensive car I booked. Then the paperwork they gave me didn't match the car they gave me. So then they gave me another car that didn't have the ezpass in it that I paid for, so I got hit with a ton of tolls. And they said there was nothing they could do about it. In the end, I paid almost twice as much for a crappy car then I would have anywhere else and it took twice as long as I kept getting moved to different cars. I will not be renting from them again.

I was pleased my ‘non smoking ‘ car truly was a non smoker. At the end of a long trip while returning the car in pouring rain your bright orange SIXT signs stood out above all your competitors making my drop very easy and much appreciated.

The car was dirty enough to render seeing dangerously difficult. I had to pay to clean the car myself in order to safely drive on highways. So a deal that was predicated an upfront payment was meaningless when safety is compromised.

Canceled the rental 3 days in advance. They charged me a penalty of$100. You take your chances dealing with Sixt. I won't do it again.

I reserved a car to be picked up at 11pm, but my flight was delayed such that I arrived at Sixt just after midnight, only to find that their office is closed and (unlike Hertz, Thrifty, and Dollar) there is no way to pickup your car. Eventually I just rented a car last-second from Hertz (which luckily was cheaper), and spent days convincing Sixt to cancel my prepaid reservation. Which they finally did, minus a $200 cancellation fee. Ridiculous.

Very long wait due to lack of staff. Cost of rental car high. The return of the car was a poor experience. Poor customer service at car return, the ability to discuss the final bill would have meant missing my flight due to extreme long lines
