Waited over an hour 1/2 in line, then they ran out of vehicles.. even with my suv reserved. I was supposed to get a LARGE SUV “wagoner or similar”.. Ended up getting a tiny little bronco sport.. FAr fetch from athe LARGE SUV that I reserved and paid around 400 $ for!!! Truly disappointing. Closed in of 2 hrs of my time waiting and drove off in the ugliest vehicle ever made by Ford!! Shuttle was amazing but they got you trapped once your there. I saw at least 20 people get Ubers in your lot and leave your facility.
when I booked this reservation, I selected the insurance, which I was led to believe I was buying through Budget. But instead, it was booked through a third party overseas with a bad reputation. As a result, my credit card company suspected fraud and shut my card down, which was really inconvenient. Kayak needs to improve the messaging around this issue. Buyers should not assume they are getting a product from Budget when it is coming from a no-name third party overseas with a bad reputation without their knowledge at the time of purchase. This was a very frustrating experience and cost me a lot of time that I did not appreciate. I will not be using Kayak again any time soon.
There was more than a 2 hour wait at the rebel counter and it was unclear if they had enough cats for everyone.
Booked my rental car on here and budget just show happen it was through budget, a company I usually don’t use.. Arrived at Dtw, found my way to the pick up area with my family and was greeted with; “We don’t have any more cars, it’s going to be a 3-4hr wait. Never happened to me before. It was late, so we caught an Uber to the hotel.

The car was great. The agents were appallingly overworked and cruelly outnumbered. Budget set this poor folks up for failure. I was over 3 hours to get my car in a line that was much worse than any customs line. People were melting down around me. Budget created an unsafe environment for us. I would need a very, very good reason to ever book with budget again. I should have been home by 10 pm after 14 hours of traveling by air. Instead, I didn’t get home until 1 am. Unethical practices of taking advantage of both your agents and customers need to end. This was a horrific experience. I’m sharing the experiences with all friends, family, colleagues, and strangers who will listen. Don’t let this happen to you.
