Enterprise refused to rent to me. They would not accept a state-issued temporary driver's license from the state of WI. I was literally turned away at the counter. So, I made a reservation under my wife's name. When she went to pick up the car, she was turned away at the counter because the vehicle had just been rented to someone else, and the desk agent said it was against their policy to allow for same-day, one-way rentals. Going 0 for 2 with Enterprise was exceedingly frustrating. I won't be giving them my business in the future. Also, the fact that Kayak allowed a same-day, one-way rental against the policies of the store was frustrating. A better agreement between Kayak and its vendors should be established. Perhaps Kayak's partners should be obliged to honor agreements made on their behalf through Kayak.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Helped us change our car with no hassle at all.

Cleaning of the vehicle. Front was still had a lot of bugs and it looked like there had been something spilled on the inside of the rear ds door, that had only been partially wiped up.

No drop off signage in Detroit. Drove around the lot 3 times. Loading/Unloading Semi blocked exit for 15 minutes. Was rented car with broken tail light. Dangerous. Disinterested customer service.

Waited over an hour 1/2 in line, then they ran out of vehicles.. even with my suv reserved. I was supposed to get a LARGE SUV “wagoner or similar”.. Ended up getting a tiny little bronco sport.. FAr fetch from athe LARGE SUV that I reserved and paid around 400 $ for!!! Truly disappointing. Closed in of 2 hrs of my time waiting and drove off in the ugliest vehicle ever made by Ford!! Shuttle was amazing but they got you trapped once your there. I saw at least 20 people get Ubers in your lot and leave your facility.

when I booked this reservation, I selected the insurance, which I was led to believe I was buying through Budget. But instead, it was booked through a third party overseas with a bad reputation. As a result, my credit card company suspected fraud and shut my card down, which was really inconvenient. Kayak needs to improve the messaging around this issue. Buyers should not assume they are getting a product from Budget when it is coming from a no-name third party overseas with a bad reputation without their knowledge at the time of purchase. This was a very frustrating experience and cost me a lot of time that I did not appreciate. I will not be using Kayak again any time soon.

Don’t rent from Thrifty at this location if you 1) want the car you paid for and reserved (or similar), have an hour to waste standing in line just to pick up the keys, or have the time to wait for 30 minutes in line just to have your ID checked to leave the parking lot. Staff is rude and just stand around talking. This airport and rental location are a nightmare.

The lady at the Detroit airport pickup office was incredible! She was kind, efficient, and extremely helpful. There was an issue with the first vehicle I picked up. The car smelled like someone had been smoking in the vehicle. That was not acceptable for a week rental. When I went back to the counter and pointed out this problem the person helping me was apologetic and immediately arranged for another vehicle. I would hire this person to work in my office.
