Easy and fast serviceI loved the fact that all the Employees was really nice and helpful. Service was quickly and simple. They allow me to choose the car I wanted. As soon my i purchased online , get there within 10 min and drove off within 15min. It was perfect. Love it it was easy and fast.

The price was reasonable.Organization!! This location was extremely unorganized and had everyone waiting for over an hour when we all came in with reservations. They also ran out of economic cars and started renting out SUVs instead. They need to get a better system then writing down names and crossing them off as they've helped them. Also had a super small location for the amount of people that were there at once.

Extremely knowledgeable staff with exceptional customer service. There was a problem with availability that kayak didn’t know about, but they (Hertz) didn’t make it MY problem. They resolved the issue using available resources and even bettered the deal for my trouble.Coordination and communication between kayak (the 3rd party) and Hertz would have eliminated the possibility of what could have been a devastating experience for me and my very important family visit to Los Angeles.

Staff mislead me and told me that liability and damage were included in my prepaid amount. I questioned and he reassured, said it was included and just told me to sign the contract. I was going to use my own insurance but when he said this I thought I wouldn’t need to. He lied. Got charged $168Disputed this charge with hertz. Their customer service told me that since I signed I had to pay. Didn’t care that employee mislead & misrepresented what was included when he had me sign the contract. Car was also water damaged and had to change it at the airport. They all acted like it was typical

staff was not at all helpful. they did not reserve the car for me. there was no car I could pick up. they offer me $109 car. which is just not right.they should not confirm booking if they don't have the car

Do not delivernothingI reserved a vehicle n advance for a trip to visit my parents for Thanksgiving. When I arrived , I was told I was on a wait list for a vehicle. I needed to be on the road and had to cancel the reservation and use other means of transportation to see my family for the holiday.

I was not able to rent it due to my age. Yes I, personally do dare toI was not able to rent it due to my age. Yes, I personally do dare to argue about this. I needed it to go to a business retreat. but thanks anyways for letting me search. I did not look over and ended paying it and having to cancel paying a fee of $50 dollars because I have to be 21 to obtain it. I admit I did not look closely. But don't send me a review if I never used it. What I did like was that it was a nice car for an okay price, yet not a convenient location. This came out in my research for car rentals that rent to 18 y/o.

Hertz does not honor kayaks rateWhat's the point of planning ahead and booking if when you get there for pick up there is no car available. There is no car available at all, not only at this location but all surrounding locations. I was there for over 2hours until finally getting a car. I missed my meetings and had to reschedule. It was a mess.

Rented a car forI liked the chairs in the lobby. They where comfortableHad to wait for hours to get noticed, wasnt successful in renting the vehicle, needed a credit check!??, poor customer service.

We didn't get the carIn the middle of all things the Avis guy was polite and empathetic, at the end of the day it wasn't his faultWe made the reservation thru kayak, however when we got to the avis office they told us that there were no cars available and that they didn't understand why they had let us reserve the cars. It was a major disappointment.

First time renterNo hassle no problem smooth transition returning vehicle . The car I was given was new and clean , driving it felt like putting on fresh clean clothes. Overall excellent experience.

Nothing as advertised. Beware.Arrived at the location to pick up reserved car, a Ford Fiesta. Was not only told that that car was not actually available but also that the only car that was available on the lot was a pickup truck. In addition to this, when we received the paperwork the price had doubled. Not a word was said about this price jump verbally, nor was it pointed out in the paperwork but luckily I’m a thorough reader. Spent over an hour negotiating to attempt to get the car and price I reserved for and got neither. As for the car, we refused to take the pickup as it would double the cost of gas and after a long while of being told that there was nothing else they finally admitted that a Nissan sedan was actually available, which we took (and was dirty). The only way I was compensated for the trouble was the addition of insurance for no extra cost.

Joe at East LA location was very helpful. Confusing which Avis was pickup. Joe changed the drop off for convenience.It'd would've been nice if the location was described off airport. We had to take a taxi to the location and the cabby took us to the wrong one. It was a debacle.

Wrong Location, Poor Customer Servicethe car was new, clean and worked well for us. the rental agent allowed us to return the car to LAX without charge when I explained how we had thought this location was at LAX but had rented through Kayak. She said there had been several other customers who had a similar problemWhen I finally arrived at this location, (I had thought my rental was at LAX, and had to take a cab to this location instead, at a cost of $60) there was no one there, and the doors were locked. The only information on the door indicated that they are open until 2pm. It was 12:30. I called Avis, and they were unable to tell me anything more. They offered to send me to yet another location instead, but when I called that location, they had no car rentals available. Finally an agent returned and unlocked the doors. She did not greet me and the two other customers who had arrived while we waited. When I got up to the counter I started explaining to her what had happened, and she just shrugged and told me she had been on her lunch break. Then she took a call and dealt with that instead of taking care of me. She finally got us taken care of and did give me a credit to return the car at LAX, but never apologized or indicated she was sorry for all I had gone through to get this rental car. How hard is it to hang a sign on the door to tell frustrated travelers that you will be back? A locked door just indicates that you are closed. Personally, I'll never use AVIS again.

Avis was Fine... Kayak FAILCar was fine.Kayak sent my reservation for a car to an Avis that was nowhere near the airport. I searched for a car using airport code LAX and it sent my reservation to an Avis that was 15 miles away from the airport. Of course I didn't check the address of the reservation, because why would they send it to an Avis that was not at the airport? I ended up having to Uber a ride from the airport Avis to the Avis practically in downtown LA which cost me another $25. Of course, I needed to drop the car off at the airport location when I was done with it, and that cost me another $50 for a "transfer fee". So basically, my reservation was supposed to be a $75 2 day rental and it end up costing me double that in fee's and Uber rides. Kayak FAIL. I'll not be using it again for a car rental.

Drop off easy in Santa Barbara Car drove fineWaiting in LA They took my info...offered an upgrade to SUV at no cost--which turned out to be a hatchback car basically. No big deal but the lady made me wait 15 min while others got cars? Then I go back to the window and she starts doing the contract and asks about insurance. I ask what that would do to the final rate and THEN she tells me I'm at the wrong location?? How did she take all my info, upgrade me, make me wait, go through the contract, and THEN just figure this out? At any rate, she moved the res to her location and lowered the rate to what I reserved but it was an extra hassle after a 6 hour flight that I didn't really need or understand. File it under 1st world problems.

Nothing I rented a car out of LAX but was given a reservation at a budget in the city. Therefore the rate was double what I was confirmed for. If you put in an airport in your search bar you should only be given airport reservations.Everything
