Asish, Feb 2024 - DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Austin Downtown Capitol
Room as comfortable and well furnished, Lobby was a mess as it was being rem=novated, but there were no service men to guide you or any signage where the reception was. The area was not fit for receiving guests. No bar or restaurant were functioning. Room service was barebone, with basic food being delivered in paperbags. If all this was inevitable due to ongoing renovations, then guests deserved ...

Doug, Oct 2022 - DoubleTree by Hilton Austin Northwest - Arboretum
My business partner and I booked this hotel a months prior to our arrival. Both received confirmation numbers. He got their first and when he arrived they said they were overbooked and had no room for him. Most hotels would find another hotel and arrange a room for him there. Not this place. They sent him on his way with no room or plan. He contacted me while I was on a layover so I contacted the ...

Wonderful
Shannon, Feb 2020 - DoubleTree by Hilton Austin-University Area
Pros (+) Location
Cons (-) I think it’s ridiculous to have to pay for your parking in their regular parking lot. Not valet or anything like that just regular pull up to the place and park your own vehicle in an open spot. Also $3 it you drink a bottle of water on your room.

Kirk, Jul 2019 - DoubleTree by Hilton Austin
Pros (+) The breakfast was good. Overall the hotel experience would've been good, except the a.c. wasn't working properly in our room. We woke up several times throughout the night, asked for a room change. The offered to fix it, but nobody came, and they didn't switch the room for us.

Shelby, May 2019 - DoubleTree by Hilton Austin Northwest - Arboretum
Pros (+) Everything was great! Professional and friendly staff great location in Austin and the room was all updated and very modern will go again
Cons (-) Nothing to be honest. Well the warm cookies were kinda hard I was hoping it would’ve been a soft cookie but still a nice touch

Wonderful
Jeremy, Apr 2019 - DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Austin Downtown Capitol
Pros (+) Enormous, comfortable suites, and very attentive staff.
Cons (-) I'm not a fan of duvet-only bedding, without a separate top sheet. Also, the duvets were only wrapped in sheets, not fully encased. Everything was clean, and this is probably no different than any other duvet cover, but it causes me to ponder the idea of dirty bedding...and I don't want to contemplate that.

Danial, Apr 2019 - DoubleTree by Hilton Austin-University Area
Pros (+) The location was ideal to every part of Austin. The staff was very friendly and courteous including an incident where i may have not been able to get a room. The lobby is going under remodel construction which should make it grand. Does face a graveyard - which i really did not care - moot point because i was out for most of the day
Cons (-) When booking with Expedia/Hotels/com...call to validate; it seems hotel loyalty members get first preference.

Anonymous, Feb 2019 - DoubleTree by Hilton Austin-University Area
Cons (-) The place was under construction. No advance warning that it was to be so. Bar was understicked, restaurant was closed. Breakfast, continental, was missing basic elements like orange juice. Not the usual Hilton promise of service and facilities.

Anonymous, Oct 2018 - DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Austin Downtown Capitol
Pros (+) Good location. I’ve front desk staff. Breakfast was good.
Cons (-) Loud air conditioner, 6am construction on the building next door about 30 feet from our 6th floor window with construction workers able to look in if we didn’t keep the curtains closed, roaches (at least two). So, overall one of the worst stays I’ve had in awhile at a hotel. Maybe I’ve been lucky.
