Two baby roaches showed up in the bathtub, and music played until about 4 AM. Not your fault...but a little annoying in both cases.

The location is in the middle of an entertainment district so it is a bit loud, but the accomodations and service was very good.

Front desk is so rude and dismissive. Valet and housekeeping were top notch which makes you feel like a 5 star guest. Front desk really breaks the experience though with their poor attitude toward guests.

Pros (+) We came for my 21st birthday on 6th street and I can't imagine picking a better place. They did everything they had to do to keep it classy and cool headed as it's located on one of the busiest and most popular tour attractions in Texas. We only live 45 mins away but Austin is my go to. I LOVE it there. I had friends come up and get ready in the room and hang out before and a little afterwards but...
Cons (-) Nothing- I would change nothing

Cons (-) The valet was torn up with construction. The lobby and hallways literally smelt like a sewer. The mezzanine was stacked with old furniture. The once famous bar was loud noisy and also smelt like a sewer. The bathroom had chipped paint and a cracked floor length mirror. There was no counter space in the bathroom. The glass top furniture had dried paint drops on top from lack of a drop cloth.

Pros (+) Beautiful historic hotel. Great staff. Great central location. Food was amazing in Cafe and at the Grill. Dog friendly (they have doggie concierge kits with bed, bowls, treats and poop bags).
Cons (-) The petite rooms really are petite, so be aware of that when you book, but in all honestly, you're only there to sleep and shower so it's definitely not a deal breaker.

Pros (+) We found Travaasa while lookimg for different things to do for our anniversary, and ended up booking our stay here. From the moment we pulled up to the gate we were impressed. The entire compound and view is beautiful! The staff make you feel at home, the room was perfect, food was healthy and on point, but what impressed us the most was the how they run their facility. The daily shcedule of all t...
