Anonymous, Jun 2021 - Extended Stay America Suites - Austin - Arboretum - South
Pros (+) Location was close to where we going to be at.
Cons (-) The staff gave our room away and we had to stay in a smoking room on 2nd floor with three senior citizens. She called 3 other hotels to check for vacancy. The door lock looked loose and breakable.

Pros (+) I was impressed that for the price, this hotel met all my expectations for cleanliness, amenities, and personable staff. I had surgery and a followup appt the next morning and this hotel was in the perfect location and nice - would stay here again.

Sara, Mar 2018 - Extended Stay America Suites - Austin - Arboretum - South
Pros (+) They didn’t let me know until check in that way hey couldn’t honor a non-smoking room reservation (a dealbreaker for me) so I had to scramble and find another hotel in the conference area and paid 3x as much to find anything available.
Cons (-) See above

Pros (+) The location is perfect for walking into downtown. The price is right too.
Cons (-) So noisy. Any voice in the hallway travels right into the room. Especially when a bachelor party is happening next door. Beds are uncomfortable

Pros (+) The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful
Cons (-) Shrimp in the sink and smelled horrible. Checked out as soon as I walked into the room. People loitering at the entrance making it uncomfortable to walk into the building

Anonymous, Apr 2017 - Extended Stay America Select Suites - Austin - Northwest - Lakeline Mall
Pros (+) Staff were nice
Cons (-) First room I was put in smelled really bad. After opening a drawer and the refrigerator, I went to the front desk with an arm full of trash (including an open box of condoms, open water bottles, and food). Second room smelled better, but there was still trash in a drawer. Staff obviously needs to be trained on better housekeeping
