Great car & great service

Cons: No CD player in car, and USB plug did not work for phone. But an overall great experience and the branch manager Adelina Aviles was extremely helpful!

Cons: The drop off location was incorrect. The car was 30 miles from where I needed it to be. To change the pick up location the price almost tripled. The car I received was really smelly. The seat were very dirty and stained. Did I mention the smell. The car drove fine and was good on gas. I

Not the best experience
Pros: They attendant tried to be nice
Cons: The car was dirty The pickup location was not clearly marked The pickup attendant did not know what he was doing There were cheaper deals on Hertz on nearby locations but you do not offer price match (even for same company)

Cons: I was under the assumption since I asked for the car at the airport that it would be at the airport not off site and closed when I got in town. I had to scramble and find another car rental company. Thank God for payless car rental. They treated me right and got me a car on the spot for less than $200. By the way, I went to Hertz and they wanted to charge me over $400. Thanks for nothing!!!

Don't be upsold
Pros: Car was clean and full of fuel
Cons: Getting upgraded without being told the price until the sales lady gave me the receipt. Wtf difference does it mke how many bags I have. If I want to strap them to the roof it's my business as long as there's no damage when returned.

Cons: First vehicle had been smoked in. Second one wasn't in the slot assigned. Third one took 15 minutes to get because we lost our place in line.

Bad service, bad online reservation
Cons: No customer service agents wanted to help resolve my issue. They lied to me many times and made me drive around Houston for rental cars they no longer had even though I have a reservation.

Poor communication upfront. Hidden sales tactics
Pros: Car was in good shape
Cons: Shady tactics by the staff to upsell No explanation of contract being signed Had to modify three times

Pros: The customer in front of me took long and didn't even rent but besides that the two guys working there were great!
Cons: Had to wait for them to fill up the rental. Not a big deal but should have been done already.

Great Rental Experience
Pros: Car was ready and in great shape. Employees were polite and helpful. I was in and out in about five minutes. Wow. Upon return I was greeted right away. The price was exactly what we agreed to. I will use Kayak and Hertz again.
Cons: Nothing. Everything worked out as agreed. No issues at all.

Cons: I had to pick up car at different location than per reservation. Reservation was for a Camry or similar - I was given a Prius hatchback - small, cramped, no trunk.

No cars at pick up location
Cons: The pick up location had no cars when we went to pick up the car. They then sent us an hour away to pick up the car and when we got there our reservation had been cancelled. The hertz at bush intercontinental airport then tried to charge us triple the price of what I had originally booked. It took over 3 hours to pick up the car.

Regular Hertz customer, disappointed a 3rd time
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: Rude houston hertz reps who were not polite. I got an old car with no USB and really low fuel capacity for a long journey. The houston location I had booked the car from initially, closed the store at 5.45 pm though they had my reservation and their store hours were until 6 P.M. Hertz charged me an additional 300$ for changing location last minute and then to top it gave me a bad car.....I learnt my lesson no more hertz!!!

Good experience but a learning one
Pros: Good car, quick in and out, clean car and facility
Cons: Had to pre-pay to get a price at HAI comparable to DFW which I guess is not Hertz fault but a week before I left the price dropped dramatically and I would not have been required to pre-pay.

Texas good, SFO not's so much
Pros: The Texas group were great. Pretty good experience on that end. The car worked well, very reliable. Check out was quick. Somehow, (though I booked online for 4/28 - 5/2), when I arrived at the Texas office, there was a mixup on the dates and rate. They honored the quoted rate. Also, I was told that the reservation was until 5/3 - how that changed I have no idea; my printed reservation showed to 5/; not a problem since they said I could return it "early".
Cons: When I checked in at the Hertz office at SFO, the receipt I received was significantly different from that which I received (prepaid) from the Texas office. I talked to a supervisor in Customer Service; she said she could only give me credit on a future rental as "goodwill gesture". I asked if she could speak to her Manager. The manager authorized the full refund to the originally quoted price. They were kind enough to credit me a partial refund on the prepaid tank refill since I had filled up just before dropping off the car. As a helpful suggestion, I think there needs to a process audit from website purchase to the pickup/drop-off locations and across state lines. It should be a consistent experience - much like a purchase of an airline ticket. Also, there needs to be something in writing at the time of drop off, indicating there was no damage to the vehicle. I asked for this but the Customer Service rep. tried to assure me verbally and finally showed me her screen - the damage box was checked with a "N". That's the best I could get.

Cons: I got over charged, I just realized that they charged me $200 dollars more than what the total price was going to be. The agent told me those $200 were a deposit until I return the car, I returned the car 7 days ago and the transaction has posted with the full $200 extra. I am calling my bank to cancel the transaction if They don't take care of it. Not only that but also I got a voice mail from Hertz saying that I did not return the cat . They need to get their stuff together because the person that I returned the car told me every thing was fine and I was good to go.Well apparently not. Really bad experience

Cons: Cloth car seats were stained when we picked it up, but we pointed that out when we rented and it was no problem when we dropped it off. Took a while to Pick up car

Pros: I was able to drop off the car at the airport--helped.
Cons: I didn't check logistics as it related to getting the car from the airport. Added expense was significant.

Pros: Hertz tries to sell you a more expensive option - always, and wastes your time with that, Rental was AWFUL.

Cons: Over 40,000 miles, smelled like smoke, burns and stains on seats, driver door was hard to open due to bad repair or something, no wiper fluid and had to pull over because I couldn't see. Oh and the tank wasn't full. Rediculous rental from hertz.
