They didn’t have any cars available once we arrived to pick up and claimed they had no way to contact me although they themselves emailed me earlier that morning asking if I was “ready for my pickup”…. Clearly I was and they weren’t. Absolutely abysmal nightmare situation regarding a car rental reservation made 3 months ago that fell through during holiday travel due to their fault entirely.

The Avis service agent who helped me was delightfully helpful. My car was an excellent value. The only curious aspect of my rental was the QEEQ online platform experience, as I did not understand in advance that that platform was the online platform for Avis and Budget, so better communication needed there. Otherwise, excellent experience.

You could disclose on your website that you only accept Major credit card. I have rented from other companies and have been able to use my bank supported debit card as a major credit card. I was out the cost of an uber driving to pick up the car I had confirmation for to rent. And then then cost of an Uber returning home after being denied the rental all because the website didn't disclose that bank supported card were not accepted. The counter person was super friendly and apologetic about the situation.

I arrived with my reservation and they didn’t have any cars. They told me I’d need to go somewhere else. Other rental companies were booked up because of a big F1 races and the few available cars at other rental companies were triple the price. I ended up without a car for a weekend with my elderly grandmother who is 96. It’s irresponsible to confirm a reservation is there isn’t a car available!

I did not get the rental that I reserved, and instead the car I got had a more cramped cabin with less features than I wanted. The pickup and dropoff location was also changed from the airport to a location 20 minutes away. Since Hertz did not have a shuttle, I had to pay for a Lyft both ways.

Pros:

We originally booked a rental with Hertz, and had a nightmare. The vehicle broke down and it took 4 hours for Hertz to come pick up the vehicle and we were told there were no more available. We got online and booked with Alamo, which was more expensive but the transaction was a breeze, and pickup and delivery was fast and simple. The car was extra clean and ran like a dream.

Cons:

I wish we hadn't had to pay twice the rate of the other rental companies.

I called to confirm my reservation and that the van was available 48 hours before then 24 hours later they called and said they were cancelling the reservation because they needed the 15 passenger vans for the F1 race at COTA. It was disappointing I made a reservation, confirmed it then was told they gave the van to the highest bidder, capitalism. I had reserved the van for an amusement park trip for 11 teenagers. I had to scramble 24 hours before to find an additional driver and 2 cars that could accommodate 13 people.

Was not able to pick up a rental car after getting into Austin because my flight was delayed. No arrangement was made. Had to spend money on two different Lyft rides in order to be able to pick up the car the next day. Very disappointed. Really left me in a lurch. What is the point of having a rental car if you need to use Lyft anyway? Overall, terrible experience. I will probably not use dollar again for business or personal trips

Long wait at pick up. They didn’t have the compact SUV and instead suggested I take a pickup truck. I was worried about the size and they assured me it was “small or midsize.” It was giant. I could barely get out of the airport parking lot and it was difficult to park throughout my trip. The back window wouldn’t close.

Definitely not “easy to rent”. We waited for 1.5 hours for a shuttle to pick us up from the designated area. Called the office 2 times and was told the shuttle driver should be coming by… I was then put on hold for 21 minutes before I hung up. By that time, 10 other people showed up to be picked up and they, too, called and were placed on hold or told the same thing. When the shuttle finally came and was dropped off at the office there was only one gentlemen manning the desk. The procedure was clunky and, of course, was lengthy. They didn’t have the car we rented ready so, for the sake of our time, we accepted a lesser vehicle. While the guy at the desk was friendly nought, all we kept hearing was “it’s not my fault people don’t do their jobs”… over all, it was a pretty frustrating experience. Not worth saving a few extra $ since we had to Uber from the drop off because the office was closed.

I do not recommend Easirent and will not use them again. Wait for pick up at airport was very long. Time for paperwork and processing at facility was very long and slow. It was supposed to be low cost but multiple add on costs made it not such a good deal. Car was very dirty on inside - seat was very stained to the point that I needed to get a seat cover. Checkout was fast but I got no accounting at end of rental and did not get receipt. I am waiting to see what the final cost will be. Staff people were friendly.

When I booked it, stated it was on the airport campus. It was not. We had to wait for a shuttle. One man had been waiting 45 minutes. The shuttle came and it was a 10-15 minute ride from the airport. We arrived and there were no cars. There were about 5 other parties waiting for cars. One couple had already been waiting 2.5 hours. I canceled my reservation and got an Uber. I learned my lesson and will never use a company I’m not familiar with again. It wasn’t worth saving money.
