The one thing I liked the most was the location, it is convenient to a lot of areas. I loved the hotel staff and how friendly they are, as well as the bar/restaurant with entrance from the lobby. Rooms are too small, not comfortable at all, with one chair only in the room, and a lot of construction going on since early Saturday morning. Rooms are always dark with one small window.
Receptionist clerks responsive to questions and pleasing traveler. The bathroom shower was excellent. The heating unit in the room was noisy. The breakfast was skimpy; commercial granola bars, oranges, bananas, coffee from machine (all impersonal).

The hotel is in a great location. It was surrounded by restaurants and the church bell sounded lovely. Room service was delicious, came quickly, and was hot. I was sorry that the room lacked slippers, a shower cap, a complimentary bottle of water, a newspaper, or turndown service. They are having a plumbing problem. The pipes in the shower bang and the shower head looks ready to shoot out of the wall. Breakfast was not delicious and the valets were so slow retrieving our car the following morning that we almost missed our brunch reservation.
Nice how the staff was friendly and catered to the clientele and even those that had dogs staying with them. Nice gym and equipment. Very nice room decor and comfortable bed and queen size beds were nice. Excellent location being close to everything we wanted and close to the subway for easy transportation to anywhere including the airport without having to use the expensive taxi route. I didn't like that there wasn't a coffee maker in the room to make our own coffee vs. having to go to a local Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks for an added cost. That should be a standard for any hotel. Also, there is no fan in the bathroom to get rid of the humidity quickly after taking a shower. The walls are a bit thin as you can hear too much noise from upstairs and side neighbors when using shower/bathrooms and shutting doors.

Our stay at the Nine Zero was beyond extraordinary. We called about six hours before check in to see if it would be possible to upgrade to a room with a city view (my husband told the guy at the front desk that we were celebrating out anniversary and seeing a show at the Orpheum Theatre that evening) - we were quickly and without questions upgraded to a king suite on the 12th floor with a gorgeous view of the city - we weren't even charged for such an amazing upgrade! nothing. no complaints.

A very clean hotel with efficient and friendly staff no coffee pot in the room and the incredible cost to get a very nice room in downtown Boston near the theaters. $425 is just too much money for a middle class family to pay to go have a fun night on the town. In the future I will make arrangements further in advance so I can find a boutique hotel like John Jeffries House or better for $200 / night. OR, I just won't go for overnight.
The whole ambience of the hotel is really cool. I think they've got it just right - It feels quite informal, however, the staff were spot on! The location is also perfect.
The location was perfect; the freedoms trail was literally right across the street & there's a nice park that takes 5 minutes to get to. Staff was very friendly, shout out to Pedro the valet, dude told me all the places to check out while I was there and they were all great suggestions. The room was pretty small and the elevators scared my girlfriend (2 of the 4 made her paranoid because they were loud and a little shaky). Unless you're a frequent guest or part of some rewards program you have to pay for wi-fi which is pretty lame. No vending machines which seems to be because they want you to take from the mini bar where a snickers bar was around 10 dollars. Luckily there are 2 7-11's that's take 30 seconds to walk to right next to the hotel.

The staff at the back hotel bar was friendly, excellent and accommodating when the kitchen was about to close in 5 minutes. He even offered to get Guinness on tap from the front bar the Last Hurray. Rooms were clean and they were able to accommodate us with a better view. Bed is comfortable and linens are nice thread count. Decor is classic, wood paneled, gold, red and mustard yellow-- and reminded us of Stephen King's The Shining (where the film was made). Wifi is not included if you book through a third party-- they should change this policy as a courtesy. Drainage in tub was a little slow but this is true of most Boston older buildings.
The historic beauty of the lobby. Desire queen sized beds. The maid inadvertently picked up my husband's tuxedo shirt when changing the bed linen. Although we reported the loss, no one has contacted us since about ever finding it? A disappointed guest :+(
Great location because it's across the street from my corp office. Was clean. As a general rule, I usually enjoy this hotel, stay here often. 1. They couldn't find my reservation when I checked in. I then said that I booked on Kayak.com. They kept looking so I had to find the reservation online and, turns out, the reservation was made through Booking.com. Only then could they find my reservation. Desk clerk seemed like he was on Prozac. Also, I booked a Standard room and I'm pretty sure I got a Petite room because it was about the size of my walk-in closet at home.

Location was close to most points of interest in downtown/waterfront Boston. Large lobby and helpful staff. Clean. Would rather have traded nice large entrance and lobby area for a better room size and traded the standard (double) bed for a queen size. Price for what we received was a little on the expensive side. Hotel claims to be 4 star but it doesn't quite make that level. WiFi should have been included as is becoming standard at hotels of this level
A friend of mine who lives locally was surprised I booked their since she said it is really "old". She was right. Main lobby carpet needs replacing. Stepped inside the "fine" dining restaurant and noticed a musty smell associated with "old" carpets and drapes.
Samantha was great as we were checking in. We were a little early for check in so she said the hotel would hold our bags while we toured the city. She came through on the promise of a room with a better view. So happy with the room that over looked Kings Chapel and Old City Hall. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, easy walking distance to anything. Beds were comfortable. Room was a little small but wont stop me from staying again. No free WiFi.

Location and quality of the hotel. The front desk service was not very good and the valet service was terrible as I had to ask for my car three times and had to wait 35 minutes for it at a time when no one else was waiting for cars to be retrieved.

Amenities and room in general showed great care for guests to feel comfortable and pampered, it has one of the greatest offering for kids I have seen in a hotel and its location is very convenient to reach all key areas around Boston.

The staff member who checked us in refused to accept the arrangements previously agreed to by another associate and the accounting department ( in writing/email). Because a box was inadvertently not checked on our pre-authorization form he dusmissed it completely without first checking with the parties ( whose contact info was on the form) we gave him. Humiliating and a time waster. Terrible customer service.
The roomwas clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful. The room was small. Like most hotels, the "high-definition" TV was a mirage - an analog signal stretched over a flat panel. For the life of me, I can't understand why hotels will not get high def signals in the rooms.

Location was for us was perfect for us as it was just across from Boston and just 1 stop using the subway to Beacon Hill. We had free valet parking which was one of the key decisions to staying there. The area was super quiet and very green. Although the room was nice. Personally we found the bed to be a little uncomfortable. The free upgrade which came by my rewards status was a welcome surprise but we were surprised that it was directly behind the elevator shaft. Upgrade..not sure. The staff were pleasant when spoken to but were not very engaged with the patrons. There wasn't a lot of choices nearby for restaurants.
The price for this area is quite high, yet with the amenities and proximity to nightlife and points of interest there is a degree of value to this location. My main complaint is the staff. I found them a tad unprofessional. Upon stepping to the front desk the young ladies at the counter seemed less interested in helping visitors than in carrying on a concerted air of disinterest and conversations among themselves. Additionally 2 surly security guards came to the room at 3am about a noise complaint. Their heavy-handed manner was more suitable for a dive bar than relating to adult guests paying upwards of $500 a night. They were clearly not suited to be the first point contact in regard to guest relation. Based on the last situation I doubt I would stay at this location again. Which is sad given i would have used it for family vacations and business occasions.
My room was small, but had everything I needed, even a coffee maker. Breakfast in the morning made life very easy. That I could not open a window.

It is central and quiet; breakfast is good for European taste, staff helpful. Windows of the room were sealed and I could not stand the noise of air conditioning, but in November it was not a major problem to put it off. I asked a very quiet room and I got it on the back, viewing a brick wall just in front. Remark that "Single Twin Room" meant in my case a tiny room with a large single bed, no cupboard, no chair, a drawer with TV on it.

I enjoyed my stay and thought that the staff was helpful and genuine. My room was small but adequate. My shower took forever to warm up but there was enough hot water once it did.
As above it was in an ideal safe location within easy walking distance or transport plus places of interest as well as parklands to enjoy and take time out. I had a single room. The bed was really comfortable and housekeeping staff keep the rooms well aerviced and it is very clean. However, it was a small room with very little room for a large case and I had to keep mine on the floor throughout my 3 day stay. Other than that it was fine but not a room I would want to spend time in during the day as no view due to air conditioner being in the window. However it was quiet at night and easy up sleep. I am gluten free and found very little I could eat from breakfast provided, so would eat breakfast out as more options. I enjoyed my stay and would check in again if ever I was in Bodton in the future. It was value for money and that was important to me. My sincere thanks for a friendly and welcoming and well mannered staff .
The staff we met were all friendly and helpful. Boston is a very walkable city and the Milner is a well placed starting point for many of the most important attractions. The 'continental' breakfast is appreciated but involves throwing away a lot of plastic packaging etc which is convenient for the hotel but not helpful to the environment.
Great location and good value. Rooms are quiet and staff is quite helpful. Breakfast is included and quality of the towels, soap, shampoo, etc. is better than in most inexpensive hotels. The rooms are clean and the beds are quite comfortable. The rooms are small. The first time I stayed for one night, I had a tiny, cramped room, but on my second visit for 6 nights, I had a room I would call cozy instead of cramped -- small, but certainly big enough for one person to be comfortable. The space in both rooms could be used more efficiently by adding more shelves in both the rooms and bathrooms, plus replacing desks and dressers with ones that are less deep.

Nice lobby, but this hotel needs a major amount of work! Problems: 1) TVs are analog, which means there is no resolution at all. Very blurry. Like 1998 TVs. Shocking at a so-called 4-star hotel. 2) Air conditioners that are so loud it sounded like we had a 747 revving outside our room. We couldn't adjust the AC except to two temperatures: 68 and 74. 3) No mirror in the room. 4) No refrigerator or mini-bar in the room. 5) No blow dryer. 6) Waited 15 minutes for an elevator, then couldn't get on it was so crowded. 7) Rude, arrogant staff except for Serena, and the day GM, who tried to help but wasn't around to do much until it was too late. Don't stay here. There is so much better around!

We had reserved a room with 2 double beds--for a Mom and teenage son--and they only had a king available and had to give us a handicapped room. The wheelchair accessible shower was less than ideal.

The room was very nice, clean, and spacious. We enjoyed the welcome cookies. The location was close to places we wanted to go to. When checking in, the front desk person was trying to multi-task too many things at once. She told us that we needed to pay for the room again, which was outrageous as we had paid for it when we made the reservation. After searching through the account for a few minutes she found our previous payment. Wifi not included within the room price- it is sold as an additional room expense for an already pricey room.
We loved being able to walk to theatres and restaurants. What's more, the T stop is right outside the door.

Comfy beds and clean room located easy walks from Boston Common Faneuil Hall and so much of the tourist stops we wanted to see. Salvatore's was a decent restaurant right across the street. Snooty staff at front desk. Restaurant staff courteous. Not a hotel with a family vibe. It seems more suited for business and conference attendees
The location was great with close proximity to public transportation and that made it easy for us to get around the city. Front desk was able to get us a room with double beds on a busy holiday weekend. 1) Slow elevator to get to lobby 2) Steep valet parking fees 3) Room service did not clean the room on our first day. I am not sure whether it was because of busy holiday weekend.
Location wasn't in the most exciting neighborhood, but it was a cheap and quick cab ride to wherever we wanted to go. Staff was helpful and cheerful. Room was a good size and had everything necessary for a quick stay. Elevators were a bit slow and got backed up during peak times of check-in and departure.

Friendly staff; accommodated a late check out request, but with a fee to be paid. Not an issue. Promised champagne and strawberries for special occasion (but never arrived). Great location. Bellmen were extremely helpful! Front desk staff seemed friendly, but read issues we had. Had there not been any of the issues, this would've been a great stay, I just don't know why there were so many missteps. It was a good stay, if you look at room size, bed comfort, bathroom size and comfort (just don't expect privacy; everyone will know your business in there!), friendliness, location. This should be a phenomenal stay. It has all the makings for it. It must've been a full moon or something that weekend. Was promised champagne and strawberries the first evening, but it didn't come. The next day, the room wasn't cleaned when we arrived back at 11pm, so called to have at least the bed made and fresh towels (they offered a discount on an additional night, which was accepted, though didn't go smoothly at final check out for some reason); also mentioned the missing champagne and strawberries, was told they'd be there the next night, but again no champagne or strawberries when we returned. Ever. Hallway was meeting central at 3am for drunken shenanigans by other guests. Finally, on the fourth day, after returning to the hotel after a long day, the wireless entry failed, so we had to wait to be let into the room. To the front desk's credit, they were going to upgrade us for free on the last night for the inconvenience, but one of us needed to get back into the room because they were flying out in two hours, so that wouldn't work. Was promised an email accounting, even gave email address and was promised in 5-10min; it's now over twelve hours later, and still no receipt in my inbox or spam/junk folder.
nothing - pay for internet in a 4* hotel? in every starbucks internet is for free, at least a basic bandwith - rooms are really old, I expected more from the brand hyatt - on 1st day room was not cleaned, only upon call I never ever stay in a Hyatt again

they did not have taxis waiting outside and couldnot call one. They had to whistle for one passing by. As they are on a side street not that many pass buy. Also the area is not as nice as others in the city

The studio room was ok and nicely furnished It was incredibly noisy, street traffic, garbage trucks, whining and motors running kept you awake from 2.30-5.30am every morning. I am afraid teh hotel was unworkable as a business hotel, and only possible as a holiday hotel if you are a heavy sleeper or a hard drinker so that you could surivive teh noise. I'll never stay again nor would I recommend it. Sorry. Having booked 2 rooms and paid so much a night I was utterly disappointed. Complaining next morning to the front desk about the noise, the receptionist was talking to me and then said "hold on" picked up the phone and started arranging some other booking with the caller. Don't Americans do basic manners anymore? Please note this is not a complaint, it was rude, noisy and expensive.
Fifteen Beacon was beautiful, staff was so helpful and servicing that we felt truly carefree on our vacation to Boston. The rooms were excellently appointed, fashionably contemporary and spacious. We loved the fireplace, the four post bed and the privacy, it was the perfect intimate setting amid the busy Boston city life.
The staff was quite helpful and courteous, the room perfect and the food at the restaurant remarkable. The view from the rooftop is also outstanding.

The front staff and manager were extremely accomodating after having a 2 hour tiff with the booking company I used (Get a Room, you were terrible). The room was clean and contemporary which me and my guests enjoyed. For the price, it was reasonable due to the location right next to the commons and for a saturday night in Boston. Wifi was free and they had speakers to hook up an iPad to play music. Parking was $50 for valet. ~$40 in the surrounding parking lots for overnight.

The location was great especially in proximity to public transportation. The decor was simple and comfortable. The noise coming from the hallway and room next door was somewhat bothersome. The lounge on the groundfloor became a night spot on the weekend and guests are continuing to party going back to their rooms. The acoustics in the lounge were very loud as well.
Cleanliness, bedding. I really missed a coffee pot in room and thought wifi should be gratis
I actually like the location, since it's a little quiet. It's clean and hip and the staff is not in your face, but always helpful when you need. It's a tasteful place to stay.
I encountered a few problems and the staff acted immediately to accommodate me.
Walking distance to all central Boston. Fantastic location Shower is a glass box dividing the bed room and bathroom. Perfectly ok if you're into that sort of thing

Nice staff. The receptionist kindly upgraded our room due to a delay in the reservation process. I was expecting a nicer interior. The lobby is newly updated & very modern however the rooms are NOT, they're pretty basic. not what I expected for the price.

Great location Every hotel has a bad room. I got it this time- ripped carpet, stains on the wall, broken furniture, barely warm water, no internet and a $17.00 resort fee. Luxury maybe 15 years ago now very sad.
The bed was comfortable. The water came out brown. There was no bottled water in the room. The room was old and tired.

Location in Back Bay only redeeming feature. $110 million redo yet very small, noisy rooms. Family was in town for a wedding. A huge Convention was also at the hotel. Noise, noise , noise! Convention goers on our floor had noisy drunken party. Front desk could not deal with them. Offered us new room locations for following night. Our "new" room had no hot water until maintenance was called. Extremely small queen room. Hallways so wide and high, every voice heard in the room. Plumbing noisy and easy to hear voices in next room. Would never stay here again. Too many other quality hotels in the area. Missed the mark with the redo.

The address given to me by the hotel was correct. Tons of hidden fees that are mandatory. Booked a king and was given a queen, with ZERO refund given. Would give this hotel a 0/5 if I could. Slapping travelers with hidden, mandatory fees should be illegal.
Location. $50 charge for Valet I didn't use. Since, I have been told by a friend that the same thing happened to them. Still waiting on the refund to be processed 3 days later.
Close to restaurants and shops Rooms are very small. Staff was not very friendly. Horrible check in process.
The lobby The rooms are HORRIBLE! The exterior and l lobby are wonderful. The room--especially for the cost--is disgusting.
