Pros: The car was nice; the customer service was fair.
Cons: We scheduled our flight from Maui to Honolulu. We were on Oahu just 2 weeks earlier & picked up our car from the airport. with absolutely no problems. We travel frequently & I have NEVER sent a poor comment. Apparently, the Oahu Airport was out of cars on July 20th and they booked our car at the Hyatt Regency in Waikiki without notifying us the change of location. I am not sure if this was an error with Kayak or Budget Rent-A Car. We were stranded at the Honolulu Airport for almost two hours. We had to take a cab to the Hyatt Regency. We had the car for less than 10 hours. Due to the confusion, we asked the manager at the Hyatt Regency Budget if we could return the car to the airport and they said no. We had to take an Uber to the Airport. This was a terrible situation, especially since we were attending a very important event at UH. Budget would not work with us or was the manager flexible to take care of the situation. They were more worried about their next day reservations. Upon returning the car to the Hyatt, the staff was vacuuming cars as they came in instead of checking in the returned cars and assisting with return. I never saw anything like this in all of the years I rented cars. My daughter actually got out of our rental car and directed the long line of cars waiting behind us which were lined up on the street outside the parking garage, so, we could all get where we were going. Budget was busy and there were 3 people in the office on the floors above, but, there were NO SUPERVISORS in the area to return cars or assist. The workers were young & doing the best they knew how, but, they had no idea about customer service. How could they be vacuuming the cars and making everyone else wait who needed to get to the airport, etc? REALLY?? Everyone was shocked and honking horns. My suggestion would be to move your return counter to the parking garage and get a manager who is customer service oriented. She wasn't rude, but, she was far from accommodating. I am sorry to write this, but, this was a situation which could have been handled differently.Very disappointed in the entire experience. We never complain, but, this was extremely disappointing and we will not be using Budget in the near future or again.

1 hr 45 min wait to pick up car
Pros: Drop off.
Cons: Reservation was not met by company. No apology or explanation from staff for excessively long wait. "everyone is waiting," was the excuse.
