Was provided the wrong vehicle at pickup and had to wait for nearly an hour for them to try and find the correct vehicle, which they didn't. Then was provided a car that wasn't clean and had some preexisting damage.Reviewed Apr 14 2026

The car was dirty, it had a low tire the entire time we had the car. So we had to keep stopping at gas stations to put air in it. It was extremely small for an suv. We would have been better off in a car.Reviewed Apr 14 2026

Drop off was difficult because there is no clear sign to enter, I went to the airport and entered through the part where you pick up the cars and I had to take one more turn to find the entrance. First off I scheduled my intermediate SUV for 12 noon which was when my flight was coming into Richmond Airport , upon arrival to Budget counter there was no vehicles available at the time that was requested, we had to wait 2 hours and did not get a SUV instead we got a Small Toyota Corolla which had a strong odor of marijuana but took it anyways as we had a wedding to attend. Was told by the manager a 20 something young gentleman that because of our wait we could bring the car back without filling up with gas , we were charged over $80 to fill up the vehicle even after manager said he would put a note in the computer. Talked to customer no service for a hour with a call center overseas and tried to get a US based customer service which I would assume now that they do not have one . Customer service said they would give me back $40 for my inconvenience, really that was an insult . I am not happy with Budget rental car whatsoeverReviewed Apr 13 2026
