upon arrival the front desk staff was a bit testy with me and made me wait past 4pm for my room after i had been on the road and on planes for eay too long. i got cut off by a gentleman when i tried to talk in a stern voice i got name and reservation? not even a hi, how are you doing today? location for price isn't too great anymore, elevator was out one night, no one really asks if you need anything, maids don't speak english but at least they smile. not worth what i paid. ridiculously overpriced. i asked about restaurants and all they wanted me to do was order from their room service. had problems getting on internet in room.stayed there yrs. ago, quality of service has gone down. when i arrived no one even asked if i needed help with bags.
Fantastic staff - very friendly especially at the bar and by the pool - very very pleased with the overall experience and will defintley be staying there next time I am in LA
Great service, fun times, great parties and very comfortable and clean.
A little weird
I liked the location. It's very central to Hollywood and West Hollywood. This hotel is very noisy. The rooms are very spartan, and this is not a hotel for people not there to party into the wee hours.
Love the showers! The only lounging chair was a beanbag which isn't ideal
there's a great vibe about this hotel. and the best part is, if you find yourself in hollywood and not sure where to go, you can pretty much party in the lobby! also, mini bar items are super cool and fun. not enough space to hang clothes! the mini bar location is cool but not practical.
The location was very central. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The floors need updating. They made very loud creaking sounds. It seemed like the guests above us were going to fall thru the ceiling onto our bed. Guests in a nearby room partied on their deck at sunrise and were very loud.
The walls are very thin, you can hear everything going on in the room next door..
Location and pool area. Comfort, price, room condition, a dog park right next to the hotel that bothered like hell!
The design of the hotel and the rooms was extremely appealing. The staff was nice and helpful
Great location Bed was squeaky but in sure that could have been fixed
Room's were clean and the beds comfortable. They advertise a pool, but its more of a large bathtub, don't expect to go swimming. As mentioned in previous post, the staff is not friendly..
Our stay there was great, other than the fact that TWO TIMES the cleaning staff opened the door, without even knocking, prior to checkout time, the first of which was 9:30am while my boyfriend and I were still in bed, asleep.
No ice or vending machines.
Just an ordinary motel - nothing bad but nothing extraordinary good as well. A quiet place and clean bed to sleep - just what I needed. A coffee machine is a pleasant bonus ) Despite the fact that it was the cheapest motel in North Hollywood I could find it's still overpriced - like all accomodation in LA. Wi-fi signal isn't so good.
Everything was great... The size, the bathroom, the noise was non-existent, a fridge and microwave.. The check out time is NOT noon as stated on the bill, email, receipt, etc. It is 11am. I even asked when I got there to make sure and was told even by staff that check out is noon. I was out most of the night with my girlfriend and got back around 3am, went to sleep at 4am. I woke up to a phone call from staff at 10:45am that 11am is check out. I checked the receipt and told him it's clearly printed that it's noon. He said "no" that the maids need time to clean the rooms and check out time is always 11am. This is the same guy that when my girlfriend arrived to the hotel before me refused to let her check in (despite both our names were a part of the guests and later got resolved by the next guy's shift. (She sat in her car waiting and the next employee was happy to let her check in and doesn't know why the previous guy didn't.) This is the only experience that I'm really pissed at is that I paid for a given time and that it was abruptly changed without warning. (And through no fault of my own).
Neat and spacious room. Parking space was not clean.
Overpriced. Pictures don't reflect the rooms. It's definitely false advertisement
Clean and spacious room. Good value for money. Breakfast area was small and options limited.
Parking was horrible
Location No parking
Price Thin walls, loud, beds as comfortable as the floor. Hallways smelled. Terrible parking.
Nothing especially when you end up paying way too much to stay in a crack house There was no parking is there were people screaming up and down the hallways there was smoking in non-smoking rooms and when I woke up in the morning for the little sleep I could get there was throw up in the hallway and none of the employees had any idea I was even there not worth it never stay there again.
Clean room, friendly staff, close to Hollywood Blvd Nothing
Nothing Parking was unavailable. Website said there would be parking. I use hotel.com a lot (need a room tonight) however I no longer will use unless I get a refund
Beds extremely uncomfortable and staff not very friendly at all. I attempted to call the front desk several times when we first arrived but no answer what's so ever (almost as if the guy at the front desk avoided talking to me)
It was 7 minutes from Universal Studios Hollywood. The room appeared to be really clean. Their very small parking garage was full. There wasn't any street parking available. We had to park down the street and pay $25 to park in that lot. For that $25 more, we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel that had parking for us. We were trying to save money by staying here and it cost us more because of parking.
the location (walking distance to subway stations), the friendly staff, the rooms hollywood blvd
Location Old and worn out
Located just a block away from chinese theatre and hollywood blvd attractions. Free overnight secured parking garage. The hotel is pretty much ran down in all aspects. I think it is unfortunately just bad management as it has the potential to be a jewel...you can tell the hotel had its good years at some point, but today it is just sad. Bad arrangements of furniture in the rooms (meaning large tables and chairs forced to fit small spaces between bed and wall, old and badly maintain wall paper, and really what ,ade me write this review.....extremely dirty. Food was left in the small fridge since who knows when, floors needed a sweep and a mop, dirty windows, with vews of dead plants ... Sad, very sad.
Convenience in location Door key didn't work, Had to change rooms. Light in bathroom didn';t work properly
the room was dirty , and it smells bad
The rooms were all remodeled and have a modern feel to them. -The water pressure and temperature of the shower were spot on. limited spaces for parking at this hotel means that for their guests they have to double park behind cars or park as far as a few blocks down the street for parking. Staff are not friendly nor welcoming and I felt as if I was a burden to them for checking in and using their hotel. Area of town where the hotel is located is not the greatest neighborhood where you certainly do not want to be out walking by yourself late at nite. The beds were too springy and light and would make the most noise even with a little movement. The hotel was too close to a major street so we heard sirens, car backfires, people yelling, and more every nite.
Location is good - 45min walk to Chinese theatre via Sunset or Hollywood blvd. Free WiFi internet. If luxury is not the goal, then for a fair price it is an acceptable choice. Sheet in the bed had a dark stain. Long hair in the bath tube. Price could have been lower.
Location Horrible parking
There was a huge HDTV in the room with cable. Room was a decent size. At least it was cheap. The room smelled like cat urine. The shower had a permanent rubber mat in it that was at one time clear, but had become mostly black. Luckily we had flip flops to wear in the shower. Room did not get cleaned during the day.
Old and not updated. Clean and alright for the price.
Nice small refrigerator, nice flat screen TV, fairly clean. The price was very good, but I got what I paid for and next time I"m going to pay a little more and get a little more hotel. I can no longer say I have never been to a hotel that prominently displays a sign in the office window forbidding prostitution. Not that I've stayed in hotels that allow prostitution... this just has never been an issue. This is not a family friendly hotel. The room was extremely small, the beds were doubles (not queens), the bathroom was teeny, and we kept tripping over ourselves the entire time. This hotel is apparently ran by a family on a very tight budget. We were supplied with two bath towels and two washcloths (for four people); the single hand towel turned out to be the bath mat. The toilet paper was so thin it stuck to anything once it got wet (... you see the problem), and the only toiletries provided were two small cakes of soap that broke once you touched them. The night clerk (to whom I spoke to through a plate glass window with a speaker, where the "no prostitution" sign was posted) apparently was on loan from Disneyland's Snow White adventure--he was Grumpy. It was only 9:30 pm when I checked in; I'd hate to see how he treated a late check-in. I stood outside shouting into the speaker and ended up spelling words so he could understand. He freaked his shiz when he found out I had children. Again, not a family friendly place.
Shops and (fast-food) restaurants nearby. Near crossing Sunset & Hollywood blvd. You can see the Hollywoodsign from the hotel Breakfast was minimal
Very helpful staff who even allowed us to leave our car parked after checking out. Comfort ok, clean, proximity of the metro station to visit Hollywood. We felt the area not safe at night. Breakfast and breakfast area ok.
Great location, only one block from Metro station in Hollywood Blvd. Bathrooms are a bit old. Elevator old and slow. breakfast very poor!!! Staff in lobby booked transfer to lax but was confusing and everyone told us different rates. We ended up going with an Armenian driver who overpriced the drive by 10$!!! Please note you can arrange trasnfers with Super Shuttle which is much ceaper and convennient.
The location was very convenient to attractions in Hollywood and the party I was going to. The internet connection - there was suppose to be free wifi - didn't work which was annoying.
Nearly from hotel you can shopping . The hotel was expensive for 2 star . For me next time no go.it was not good clean.
Excellent location, good value, clean, very nice large format picture of Griffith Observatory in the room - brought the appearance of the room head and shoulders above the typical budget business travel experience. I will definitely come back. Good access to yummy eating in both Thai Town and Little Armenia... Slow elevator, spongy carpeting in hallways - i.e. no big deal...
the location was nice, just up the street was the Metro station, and was close drive to downtown. There were no towels in the room when we got there, when we asked the staff, it took quite a while to actually get them, and there was a large bug on the wall, looked like a cockroach.
location, WiFi in room, room size price
Once my AC wouldn't work, then call the front-desk, and the problem was solved soon after. I can say that was cool..... If there is something I didn't like about your place is definitely the breakfast, and the breakfast area I could say that was really poor.
The room heater wasn't working. Breakfast spread wasn't great. Felt like it was a make shift type of arrangement.
Location, price, cleanliness, staff was nice. Really nice bathroom. And the toiletries were cruelty free! Thumbs up! No alarm clock in room. Wish there was a coffee maker. Plastic chairs and cheap table were odd.
Convenient to my meetings the next day. The images of the hotel on the website were far nicer than anything I saw in my one night stay. There was a dog in the next room that had been left alone and barked for a couple of hours until the resident came back to the room. There was no iron in the room. I had to call down to the desk and it took three phone calls to finally get one sent to my room. The continental breakfast shown on the website was a complete fabrication. The real breakfast was a coffee urn and a few pastries wrapped in plastic.
The room was clean and nice and the gentleman staff was very helpful a little over priced but worth it in the long run
I liked to location of the hotel, close to Hollywood Blvd west and close to the highway exit. I didn't like the personel at the reception desk; they kept shouting that we could not check in without a printed confirmation (that we didn't have because we were travelling and booked one night before). The room was not clean; there was lots of dust under and on the tables. The breakfast was very limited and there seemed to be a fixed number of breadrolls for all hotel visitors.
The person at the front desk was efficient, polite and helpful. He recommended a very good restaurant which was reasonably priced. It was near our destination - the HFFestival - Arclight Theater.
This is an excellent motel in West Hollywood. Taking into consideration the value it offers good clean rooms, free wifi, and parking. You are about two miles from the Chinese theatre which gives you a good walk up either sunset or hollywood blvd. You are also at the entrance to the 101 however traffic is LA is terrible all the time so it's not like you will be speeding away to your destination. The maid service was good and the front desk staff were very nice. It's not an luxury hotel but you aren't paying those prices. I would stay here again if I visit LA.
This hotel needs a total makeover. The plumbing was terrible and all faucents leaked. The carpet probably had bed bugs in it and the bedspreakds had holes in them. The faucets leaked all night long. The shower head was totally broken. It was a pithole that i'd never go back to.
Nothing. It really needs improvement in comparison to other hotelsl/motels. No hair dryer, no mattress covers under the flat sheet (no fitted sheets), no coffee maker. The mattress needs to be protected and fitted sheets have to be bought. The man at the reception was very unfriendly.
The staff on the front office were really effective. The location is good. The room was small for two beds. The price is a little expensive for a simple hotel.
easy access, clean, and quiet decor a bit dated
not much old and shabby stunk of smoke no fridge or coffee making restraunt not open and it was too small.
I had a big cock rouch in my room
It was recently renovated so the rooms were a lot better than the pictures that were listed online. If you need something short term (we only stayed 1 night) this place definitely fits the bill. I'll definitely consider this hotel when I come back to Hollywood. WiFi was a bit slow and had to resort to using 4G on my phone. There's no pool or hot tub.
free wi fi for info that is not available at the desk. the hotel staff were unfamiliar with the local transport and we ended up at the wrong side of town. a local bus/ train map would be helpful. also restaurant is not open sundays, so if you stay over the weekend you miss breakfast. its also a bit too far to walk to the main part of town everyday.
My stay was overall good A little old fashion and sheets had cigarette burns on themn
The price. Clean overall. WiFi isn't free. Little gnats were present in the room. Shower head is too low, and the water pressure isn't great.
Next to the freeway, decent price, and there is free HBO. There was one staff member that my friends and I felt very comfortable around. He tried to start a conversation with us about where we're from just to end it with that where we are from are where a lot of "weirdos" are. Maybe he was trying to be funny but we felt like he was making us feel inferior. We asked for a refund on the WiFi (BTW It does not work!!!) and we had to go in and out of room three times to finally give him everything he needed to finally refund us and also after he has helped everyone else. Definitely need to have A LOT of patience with him. The other staff members were more helpful, quick, and efficient.
Staff was friendly, and the price was very reasonable. When I checked in, everything was a little hectic. And there were frightening noises throughout the night. Not that I felt I was in danger, but I didn't feel particularly safe either.
Nearness to Santa Monica. We drove up from San Diego and stayed in North Hills so we could be in Santa Monica early the next morning. It worked out pretty well. There is a Starbucks a quarter mile north on Sepulveda and just off the 405. Ample parking. Good shower with soap and shampoo. Can't think of anything
The pleasant surprise of the look of the room. Very spacious and cozy feel. A lot of wood furnishings, hot and cold water on demand. I've stayed athere fancier more expensive places where the hour water takes a very long time. The matters was way too firm!
The location was the best part about it because it's near no much The service was horrible, rude counter, it took 4 hrs to fix my tv!! Wasted vacation time
Price. Appears to have had some recent renovation. Neighborhood/location. Available parking marginal. No breakfast (but coffee available).
The only saving grace was the fact that it was a 10 minute drive from universal studios. The beds were covered in hair, as well as the pillows. There were carvings in the headboard. The a/c unit was not working. There was a part of the floor that was sunken in near the restroom-this was a second floor room. The main room mirror had scribbles with sharpie on it. It appeared that the bathroom mirror had spray paint on it. There were blood spots on the bathroom floor, and a large one in the bathtub itself. The walls in the bathroom were also grimy. When he informed the front desk, all we got was "Sorry.".
The room looked well kept and clean. I loved the laminate flooring, easy to keep clean and doesn't hold smells like carpet. It looks a little sketchy on the outside but inside feels clean, safe and cozy. My party spent the day at Six Flags and this was about a 25 minute drive. Then we headed to Santa Monica. A nice central location. Flexible check-in and out times. We called and said we'd be arriving late and they accommodated us. Only turn off was it was across the street from a strip club but not that big a deal to my party, might be for some though. I did not notice any sketchy or scandalous characters rooming around or anything so that's good. Also The parking lot was full and dirty but also not that big a deal to me as long as the room is clean and it was.
Beds, floor It was very suspicious there, police arresting someone out side our door in the other parking lot. Got a weird vibe, we did not safe there. Staff was not very friendly. We got a refund on 2 out of 3 nights because kids feel asleep on bed while we called for another hotel. Graffiti on the front and bathroom doors. Cheaper doesn't mean better. Never go there.
Price, it was fairly cheap even on high season and it was decently close to Universal Studios. Everything, don't even know where to begin, here's a bunch of the key points: - Every single sheet/towel had stains on them, from mascara to who know what else. - Even though the room stated non-smoking it was very clear they didn't enforce it as they all had ash trays and on one of our rooms we had a cigarette butt near the door of the bathroom which brings me to the next point. - Dirty, the fact that we found the cigarette, stains and carpet were I didn't even want to take off my shoes says enough. And this is considering I have a very high threshold to dirtyness. - Shady, all sorts of things happening. There were all sorts of shady behavior going on. Crazy people getting pissed at cars that weren't theirs to what I'm 90% sure a few prostitutes either live or work there. Couples fighting and what not. - We only stayed one night(thankfully) and on one of our bedrooms we found fleas and 2 of my nephews had bites all over them. - When we walked in one of our bedrooms door was open, and never locked neither did the window. It also looked like people would crash on it. - Oh god I don't even want to remember, I'm trying to forget... - I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy... - Please stay away from this place.
NOTHING, absolutely nothing. I asked to change rooms 3 times because the sheets were not changed in the first room, there was a big ass roach I the sink at the first room the secon room was the sAme!! And the air conditioner was not working! Then I had an argument with the old owner cuz he was being really nasty about giving me my money back. So I was given another room. It looked better but the sheets were not clean!!!!! So they gave me clean sheets ant told me to change it my self! That's when my girl got furious and told them to change the sheets and bring new ones them self. Worst service EVER DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! Everything dirty! Worst service ever! Nasty bathrooms. They don't change the sheets between guests AND INFESTED WITH ROACHES
The wifi was the only thing I was satisfied with. Walls are were way too thin! The couple next door woke me up a couple times thru the nite. The bottom of my feet were black after just a few minutes of walking barefoot on the carpet. The staff was very hard to communicate with and reeked of b.o.
Nothing!!!! Very bad service. We got our room and the AC didn't work, I called front office and they daid they would come check it and they never did. When I turned in my key and I told the lady at the office she was really rude and said " Well you booked the room right" whatever that was suppose to meant. Super bad service would never recommend this place to anybody.
Absolutely nothing!!!! The staff was very rude and the room smelled. The bathroom window didn't closed all the way and there was a hole in the bathroom window with some kind of paper stuck in it. There were also bugs in the room. We dropped our stuff off went to the park and came back and just left. We didn't even stay there. Will not stay there again!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The carpet was not vacuumed.
Nothing i can think of. Worst hotel i ever stayed in my life. Its not even worth $20 par day. Bed bugs, shitty blankate and dirty room. Horrible staff.
Close to restaurants, freeways, and places other than this motel. Shabby, unclean room; long black hairs on sheets and towels; hooker in parking lot. $74 a night?!? They should've paid ME to stay here!
