It was terrible and confusing. You had to get a voucher every day and it was far away, so you had to walk with all your stuff very inconvenient. Thought it was crazy that you had to pay for wifi too
I like being able to see air traffic at LAX, so that's a plus for me. Others may not like the noise, but I don't mind it at all. The Club lounge on the 15th floor serves a decent breakfast, with a variety of breads and cereals, pastries and muffins, fruit, yogurt/fruit/granola parfaits, oatmeal, and drinks. The hotel has a room service robot that delivers small items that you may have forgotten or run out of (toothpaste, etc.) Water pressure in the shower on my 4+ stays has been far less than impressive. I can't say I've had to dance around to get wet, but it's almost there. The mattress and pillows are a bit soft for my taste, but I know I prefer a firm mattress and extremely firm pillows. Service in the hotel bar was the worst I've ever had when I was there earlier this week. They took a while to take our order (I was with a colleague), then brought me the wrong drink. They delivered my order (an ever-so-complicated quesadilla) 20 minutes later, and my colleague was still waiting on his medium-rare hamburger 45 minutes after ordering it. We did speak with a manager, who indicated that some changes had been made just that day and that the staff was adjusting. I may give the bar another chance, but if it's as bad as my last experience, it will be exactly that - my last experience.

Parking is so expensive
Booked on KAYAK mobile for $90 plus tax. Close to LAX - good for travelers spending the night. Check-in was efficient. Room was pretty big. Bed was comfortable. Seemed to be very clean. Stepped right onto the shuttle in the morning to go to LAX. The flipside of proximity to LAX is that you can hear jets taking off, although it wasn't loud enough to disturb me at all. It may have been bad luck, but I saw several hotels' shuttles come by twice or more before the Sheraton shuttle finally arrived to pick us up. Also the shuttle stalled out a couple of times on the way to the airport, leading to significant anxiety. Possibly may have also been just bad luck.
I liked the view the room was ok wasn't what I was expecting (received a king instead of a double queen) Staff was very friendly -Wasn't aware of parking so I was charged twice for going in and out -Have to pay for WiFi (Not Free) -Paid for club level wasn't able to access the club room for breakfast or the horderves with my key card -Extra $20 to get a double queen when it was offered during reservation but wasn't able to select figured since there was 3 guest it would give me double queen (said king or double queen) -Wasn't Well Informed on anything during check in -Left disappointed

Location and shuttle timeliness. I didn't appreciate being charged for valet when I never had a car parked at the hotel. And then making an attempt to get in touch with the finance department of the hotel was nearly impossible. I left messages and called repeatedly only to never receive a call back.
Staff made up different policy to extort money from confused scared woman. The received numerous calls from the booking agents and their parent company but they refused to honor the stated policy. The result, the hotel took all the cash off a woman who was traveling alone and had miss her flight due to an airline agent's mistake, Their actions forced a diabetic not to eat for over 14hrs.....

Our connecting Delta flight was cancelled due to the recent weather and system issues. We couldn't get another flight for 36hrs. After arriving at the hotel at 1am, I was told that a strict check-in time was 3pm. I explained the circumstances, but no one was accommodating. They kept explaining their check-in policy and advised not to fall asleep in the lobby or security would request us to leave. There were several travelers in the lobby for the same reason. As I saw hotel customers check out, I asking about room availability. I was told to wait until 9am when housekeeping arrives. At 9:30am, I asked for a room. I was then informed that I would have to pay $50 extra to get one of the first available rooms or continue to wait until 3pm! I had no choice but to pay extra. This was unacceptable!
Clean. Called housekeeping for shampoos twice, and the second time the lady says it's on the way but I was waiting until checked out and nothing happened.
This was Convenient with the continuous shuttles and proximity to the airport. This hotel is in a serious need of an update for rooms. My room was on the third floor. Immediately walking into my non-smoking room I detected the smell of stale old tobacco have a room that had one smoking allowed. The carpet was old and the decor was dated. In the bathroom some of the woodwork showed moisture decay. The bathroom was small and the sink stood at about mid thigh of this 5' 7" guy. This was not what I would consider an ACA accessible room based on the size of the restroom so I don't understand why the sink was so low. Generally this room made me feel like I was staying at a seedy motel rather than a Hilton.
There was a lot that hilton offered. To the point where we weren't able to do everything in the hotel for the 5 days we were there. The only thing that was a struggle, is the narrow-ish drive in for the front of the hotel. If there's a busy day or event, good luck getting through the entrance with a vehicle.
The location is great for a night's stay before departing/arriving from LAX. The rooms were also nice. You will be charged $9 to check in. That's right. The parking policy says you have 30 free minutes to park, get checked in, unload your bags, and then move your car. Unfortunately, it takes 45-60 minutes to find a spot two floors below the parking garage gate, take an elevator up four floors to lobby, check in, take a different elevator 10 floors up to your room, unload your bags, take an elevator 10 floors down to lobby, get on a different elevator for the garage, and then go down four floors to move the car. I was charged $9 for the hour of parking. I asked for a refund from the manager stating that I didn't think it was appropriate to pay $9 to check into a hotel. He responded by saying, "I'll see what I can do, but they don't care. They only care about the numbers." Buyer beware.
It is nice there are FOUR jacuzzi hot tubs.. The temperature in the jacuzzi could have been hotter.
Room has a lot of facilities. Lobby is huge and luxurious. Breakfast was somehow rich. Staff are friendly. Rooms were much smaller that the value expected vs. price paid. The toilet was not properly clean since there were long hairs in the sink and on the floor. Bathroom is so small for a Hilton.. I would have liked to have a personal scale in the room to weigh the luggage prior to going to the airport.
Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Nice rooms and comfortable bed with decent coffee in the rooms. We stayed on the airport side. Guess what though? Jets are very loud. Also, the garage is a bit like a coal mine with parking found somewhere near the earth's core
Staff was phenomenal. Very friendly and answered all of our questions. This was fromthe front desk to the cleaning ladies. Great place to stay. Our room was also one of the quietest that my wife and i have ever stayed in. The only negative was the construction but it's a remodel. Didn't hold that against them.

The room was gorgeous, the lighting and furniture was very sleek and modern. The room I was in also had a 60"+ Tv which made for a great way to catch the end of the Sunday night football game in solitude. The room and hotel are great. However there was a $250 deposit on the room, this wasn't an issue for me, though I can see this being an issue for travelers not being financially prepared.
Juan in the bar was great. Got us food when we needed it and he was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. He should be commended for a job well done. He went out of his way to help us.

Long term parking is next door. Major construction of hotel going on. Met by Security on the way to our room- apparently it it had been trashed by the previous guest and not cleaned. Why would you check us into that room? Dark roast coffee only- most hotels offer a medium.
Clean, quiet. Just coming off a red eye with my wife and kids for a few extra hours of sleep during our layover; the decor was a bit over the top and certainly not what we expected from a Hyatt Regency. Weird 1950's lighting. Limited bathroom privacy. The whole room felt like a spaceship. This property shouldn't be a Hyatt Regency; it felt more like a W or an edgier brand. Hyatt Regency at other properties feels classier; this was too modern and hip for a family running on fumes.
The place was extremely nice and well done. The accommodations were comfortable and nice. I purposefully told the attendant I would be leaving early and my guest will be staying until check out. She said she would make a note and one was not made. So then my friend was harassed and accused and made to feel like a criminal when he tried to get in the room and the key did not work. His belongings were held hostage while he was interrogated.
The room was nicely updated. Hotel is under construction. The construction noise started at 8am. The staff was unable to compensate me because I booked the hotel through KAYAK.
Location go LAX. Accommodated late check out. Overnight parking seemed a bit expensive. Cleaning staff came in multiple times with the do not disturb sign out.

It was easy to find, clean, friendly and comfortable. I didn't like the exorbitant parking fees and they had no record of my reservation through booking.com. Thankfully, the front desk staff were able to get me a room (and a rollaway :( ) and lowered my cost as a show of good business.
Our receptionist Diamond was one of the best receptionist to accommodate us at the beginning. She made sure that all of our request regarding rooms and parking was taken care of . What a great host. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff were spot on. Every morning at 6:30 am during our stay, there was a group of protesters outside of our window marching, yelling on a loud horn and shouting. Apparently, they wanted the hotel staff to unionize and the hotel has pushed back against it. We only learn then why we received ear plugs on our bed at the beginning of our stay. Even though we were on the 8th floor, it still was very loud and annoying during our 3 day stay. It lasted for about 1 1/2 hours each day.
The pizza and craft beer were excellent. Sushi and many other food options were available.
Airport hotel, so just to sleep. Two girl friends travelling together and everything worked. Nice bathroom with lots of counter space, good shower. Lighting for reading was focused and not intrusive to the other person, with convenient switches,. Check out was done on the phone in your room, airport shuttle buses ran every 20 minutes, 24 hours per day. Basically everything worked and was very convenient. Sometimes the simple things add up to a great stay. Bathroom door was a pocket door and very noisy, so there was no way to go to the washroom without waking up the other person.
I like the travelers kit with the relaxation essential oils spray. It made it very easy to fall asleep for the four hours I was there.
Newer updated rooms, great bed/etc. Good location for getting around areas of LA. Parking was a bit costly because of how close this hotel was to the airport but it was a nice location for getting around various areas of LA.

This place is great. I paid $136 a night. Super nice staff. Parking in the structure was only $15 that's good because from other reviews I heard it was more. its super convenient and has a nice view of the airport (perfect for plane lovers). Before you check they send you a email asking you when you wanna check in, what view you want, how many pillows you need, and if your a single or double bed so that was pretty cool. Overall it's a very good place to stay. I will definetly book here again, only if I can't stay at Taylor swifts house hahaha Didn't have a fridge. The quiet. We checked in a little early. As soon as we checked in we were told a room wouldn't be ready for at least an hour and with a big business group in the property it was hard to find a space to relax let alone get a drink at the bar. The lobby hallway and bar were so crowded that we had to leave the hotel to get a drink to be able to relax after a long drive in from a neighboring state. Upon return we were directed to a room on the 2nd floor that had a bed that was so flattened and sunken in that myself and my partner rolled into one an other. This was truly unsatisfactory and we expected more staying at a shariton property. This was an issue that could visually be detected by housekeeping or maintenance but was disregarded and ignored. We then spoke to front desk and asked them for a room transfer and after some push back were redirected to a different room. Definitely not something worth going through while on vacation. Makes us want to stay with a competitor to see if the same challenges are met with (Hilton, embassy, etc.)
Terrible experience 1)given confirmation that room will be away from elevators and quite, but the room no. 364 I was allocated, was right next to elevators and infront of maid/cleaning room 2)bathroom door lock didn't work. Door kept opening up 3)thin walls in the room. Could hear the shower noise in the next room 4) unnecessarily delay at check-in counter, because there was another person with same last name as mine had made reservation. Most absurd excuse I had heard ever 5) manager too rude to even come out at check in counter , the lady at the counter had to take my phone inside some room to show it to her manager the confirmation msg I got after I had checked in online earlier 6) found a hair in the milk served at breakfast. When asked to replace it, the server didn't even feel guilty to know about the hair 7) TV remote not present in the room.had to call room services and request one
The lobby and bar area (bartenders) was excellent and friendly. Looks nice on main floor. Once you get into your room it's tiny. Washrooms are small and out of date. Definetly clean though. Good for 1 night stay only while between travelling places. Tub leaked water all over washroom floor. Tiny washroom out of date. Vending machines on all the floors were sold out of all beverages.

They allowed us an early check-in on a day room. The shuttle was quick and efficient. The restaurant was slow and disorganized. The fact that they charged to print stuff out and didn't have a true business center was annoying.
The location was great, the hotel is beautiful, especially the pool. I didn't rent a car so I liked how easy it was for me to take an uber The bed pillows were bad so I didn't sleep well and the were no outlets near the bed so I could charge my phone and none near the bathroom counter so I could power my curling irons
It located near the airport and perfect for travellers like us. They run constant shuttles to and from the airport and a familiar with business travellers. The room condition was below standard. The drains in the bathroom flowed very slowly and the showering facilities were a trial to use. The bathroom basin drained so slowly we had to take turns washing.

nothing I arrived 11:30pm, as planned. The hotel acknowledged that I had a prepaid reservation, but said: NO ROOM. NO REFUND. NO OFFER TO PROVIDE A ROOM AT ANOTHER PROPERTY (it's Starwood, which has 1,000 hotels in L.A.). Avoid at all cost.
There was no heat in the room. Management promised to have it repaired the next day but no such luck. My son left sick with a cold due to lack of heat. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights with no heat.

Usual Westin--nice facility, as expected. Good location if you need to be close to airport--but not too close to downtown LA or Hollywood... Unfortunately our bathroom had a strong cigarette smell in it, and when we asked to change rooms there wasn't a room available that wasn't facing LAX. They offered to freshen it up, but housekeeping didn't arrive until 10pm, and we'd already gone to bed so we sent them away

I had classes up in Hollywood, but I didn't recognize the hotel names in that area. I chose this Westin, by the airport... and like always Westin was Excellent. Beds are very comfortable!
The bed was comfotable The first room I entered had smoke oder though its a non smoking Hotel. They moved me to another room. The room size is small and could use some updating. My main disappointment was how long the shuttle takes to pick up from the airport and how long it took to get to the airport. thankfully I allowed an hour before my check in tome. It took 45 minutes from being in the lobby at 0630 to actually getting to the airport.

Had some issues with flights, but the staff was helpful in insuring I had a room when I arrived. Location was convenient to lax. Appreciate the courtesy shuttle. It took a while for the shuttle to arrive, and while the problem may have been road construction, it would have made it less irritating to know that was the issue.
Somewhat older but for the price it was in excellent condition, staff friendly, and good free breakfast. Everything in the room was in great shape and was very comfortable. Nothing; great stay for the price!

The room was COLD the whole time. Client service was great. No elevator so pick the main floor. Smell bad, cold, the sink was blocked. It was not relaxing at all. So it's a good choice if you just have to retire for a couple of hours.

One of best travelodges I've stayed at. Old 1960s vintage facilities but a lot of attention to keeping clean and little garden areas that really make it a great place. If you want simple clean then that's the place for the money. Oh I forgot the pool in center of hotel was week kept. The dennys next door needs a better bar.
I waited for the shuttle to the airport for an hour. The shuttle didn't stop at the shuttle stop I was at. It went right past me.

I like the cleanliness and the comfort of the and the garden Oasis inside. The service is very officious and not cordial and not pleasant. They also charge too many fees for what you get. I needed very good internet, and they were not very helpful in trying to resolve my situation. And specifically, it was in their level of service. I understand they probably couldn't fix it, but they really did not handle the situation well at all. Their staff needs major training in customer service.
Nothing! The hitel was dirty and old What I didn't like is that they made a mistake and charges me for a room in a day where I was already in another state with no reimbursement! They stole my money and would not help me even tho it was kayak and the hotels mistake
Closeness to airport. Firm comfortable bed with excellent pillows. Clean bedroom and bathroom . Room had the typical smell of a 3 star or lower hotel. Though breafast was pretty good, for some reason the only egg choice was a cold shelled hard boiled egg. Don't know why they didn't offer hot scrambled eggs.

$28/day parking fees! This was not mentioned at time of booking. Reserved two rooms with two double beds in each, as our party consisted of two families of four. Was given two rooms with 1 king bed in each. Staff was rude and seemed annoyed that the reservations were booked via 3rd party. Rooms were on the small side and out dated. Very small pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast buffet is $24 for those interested.

We only stayed one night to be close to the airport for an early flight. Check-in was simple and fast, restaurant in the Inn was ok and reasonable, room was very clean, bed was pretty comfortable. The pillows were like rags tied in knots and put in a pillowcase. The parking was hard to find, there were only a few handicapped spaces and they charged $17. a day to park there, I complained about both things and was told to go back to the 3rd floor get my car and put it in a 20 minutes space... Entering the parking, there is a sign that says if you lose your parking ticket it will cost $200.00 but the machine did not give us a ticket. The lady at check-in said, "Oh, we never enforce that. How were we to know? She did waive the parking fee since I said I was sorry I booked there and wouldn't be back because of the inconvenience and cost of parking.
Well i didnt like the false advertising of the pricing and they didnt make it easy when the dates where mixed up or justify the costs that they later added and double charged me and its been 4 days and i havnt recieved my refund

The shuttle they advertise never showed up and I was stuck waiting for over an hour in the rain. When I called the Front Desk, they said it was coming multiple times but it never showed. Eventually they told me they didn't know what happened and to take a cab.....an hour later. Horrible!
I liked that La Quinta let me store my bags with them before and after check out. Everyone was friendly. There were not enough electrical outlets and there wasn't good placement for the coffeemaker.
You must pay for parking if you have / rent a car $17.00 a day. If paying for the room wasn't enoug. Second complaint wasnt a big deal til I needed more towels

Bathroom was strange- toilet kept running and we had to fix it (didn't bother calling the front desk- it was more of an annoyance than an issue...) sink was TINY, shower nozzle was very short.
You get a bedroom and a living room like suite for the price of a bedroom. Really good bedding that promotes a full night's rest. If you have to stay at LAX, this is a good solution but at 200/night, it isn't the cheapest option near the airport.

The staff wad very helpful and respectful. This a very nice hotel. The Business Center was nice but limited for 15 minutes. There were a limited selection for the Tv. I wish there could have been more channel and more variety. Only thing I didn't like is that you have to spend over 7 dollars to use a credit card.
This is a very disappointing and terrible hotel. I was trying to book the hotel on the Kayak mobile app, and somehow the last step of the reservation process wasn't successful, so I tried to book it again but the second time didn't work either. Two hours later, I got two confirmation emails from Kayak and said "you're book" and found out my credit card had been charged twice($256) by Holiday Inn, then I contacted kayak customer service right away. The kayak representative was helpful and willing to talk to the hotel and ask for a refund, however, after the representative explained the issue regarding the mobile app error to Holiday Inn LAX, the hotel refused to refund ONE PENNY to us, and claimed that's their "non-refundable" policy. During my years of travel, I have never experienced this kind of issue and I still don't understand why this hotel is willing to ruin their reputation by refusing to refund any money and not showing any understanding to their guests. *This is not a vicious verbal assault, this is based on a real experience.

The room was a one king size bed, very spacious and clean. Like it a lot Parking was very expensive and one shouldn't have to pay for parking for the rate this Holiday Inn charged.

I really enjoyed the fact that right from the start, members of the front desk were friendly and attentive. In addition, everyone else encountered at the hotel was very nice and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will be back for sure when I come back to the area!

One block from my rental car turn in......... great room.....mattress and TV quality excellent. Drapes would not close ................bright McDonalds lights also lit the room up but I was too tired.
Proximity to airport and courteous shuttle to LAX were great. The facility felt a bit dated. Some fresh décor would help.

The hotel staff was very helpful, and the restaurants on the 1st floor were good options to get inexpensive food. The room we stayed in was very spacious having a full kitchen and living room. A big plus was USB charging ports just about everywhere you could imagine. The only negative was that we found candy bar wrappers in the bedside tables in the bedroom. Other than that everything was clean.

The hotel was close to LAX airport. You can get there fast by Uber or Lift The hotel was dirty, lighting is horrible, bathroom super small, shower water pressure was horrible, the beds were very low to the floor. It was like sleeping on a futon.

LAX airport hotel. But in a nice walk around neighborhood feel. Lots of restaurants nearby even late at night sushi. And supermarket next door. Great massage at Just Massage close by too

clean beds and generally fairly priced compared to most hotels The staff and managers are horrible. they keys contantly did not work , if you ask the staff for anything they give a stuck on stupid look on their face as if they are being inconvenience for you asking for any type of service. they are certainly not in the service business but pack check. the managers do not try to resolve situations or act as if they care about the guest concerns. Lacking major resolution and communication skills. the location is not convenient
Very very questionable place to stay... Hotel policy, Canceled one night refused a refund even though the booking service was ok to issue a refund. Reception is a joke - takes forever to check-in.
The ladies restroom on the main floor is way too dark! I could hardly see!

There were spiders behind the curtains in the room. They don't tell you when you purchase the room that the only available parking is Valet, then hit you with a $30 valet fee.

The hotel was spacious, clean, well located. Staff were wonderful and facilities great. Amazing shopping a short taxi ride away. Convenient small shop right across the road for basic supplies as well as food, drinks and wine. An easy, enjoyable stay, and great location for getting to LAX early in the morning for our flight. Perfect stay!
The room was gorgeous! I did not expect the look of an indoor lobby that almost look outdoors! Very cool. Breakfast was delicious and my stay with my boyfriend was fantastic. Thank you!
The hotel staff were great. Resturant food great....the rooms are a bit tired and in need of freshening up.....smelt stale....very dark and gloomy.. The towles had holes in them not impressed at all.

It was clean, comfortable and I felt safe there. would have liked some bacon with breakfast. The shuttle was a little late. I thought I was going to miss my flight out. But I made it.
I really slepted comfortably in the beds. And the morning breakfast was awesome!! I didn't like the fact that the couch was broken, so therefore uncomfortable.

Checked in within 10min. of arrival, one person ahead of me. Room was great, clean, and comfortable. Great selection for room service. Food arrived within 20min., hot! Food tasted great, I had the pork slider, flatbread pizza, and porkchop. Drinks were cold. Although the food tasted great, it cost me $83! Little pricey. My room was in a corner, next to a storage room, #316. I felt like I was different.
The room was very comfortable - I liked the two rooms. The breakfast was just great!! I liked the big flat panel screen in one room and the second tv in the bedroom. The staff was very frienly and helpful. If you ask me if there was anything I did not like about the Hotel, that is a complaint. Not everyone has the time to file a complaint with the hotel while traveling - you should realize that. 1. only one of the two tv remotes worked. 2. The sink in the main bathroom backdup immediatly when used. Hotel management needs to insure those items are checked for usability every day.
Breakfast was good. Staff was very nice. Quiet for location. Elevators take a while to arrive from each floor.
It is a good basic hotel. Good breakfast, free wifi. I won't stay there again because it took their shuttle about an hour to pick me up at the airport- about a five minute drive. Shuttles for the other hotels came about four times while I was waiting.
We missed our flight home, so after already checking out and heading to the airport to book another flight, they offered to keep our bags there and sent the shuttle out for us so that we could enjoy a couple more hours in Los Angeles. Very clean, very comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for being located so closely to the airport. Would stay here again!
The location was the only thing this hotel had going for itself. The price matched the service & accommodations.
The room was very clean and comfortable. It was quiet even though it is in a busy, noisy area. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner in room 320 does not work well, we had it turned to a comfortable temperature but it could not keep the room cool. The gentlemen that checked us in, Sterling was his name, was rude and noncommunicative. We asked about places to eat and about the shuttle to the airport and he was very short and did not explain things in detail. Perhaps just a little training would help his approach with customers at the counter.

Clean rooms, free parking, breakfast included (although I didn't try it). WiFi is slow and not too reliable (I was disconnected at least 3 times within 2 hours), elevators are very slow, the rooms are dated, and there's a slightly musty smell.
Best hotel near LAX for a quick overnight stay! Very close to LAX with a quick free shuttle pick up. The shuttle bus driver was the best ever! He was courteous, friendly and took all of our heavy suitcases from the shuttle to our room and then back the next morning!!

Location Hard to find room ,stuck back in the construction area only 2 rooms stuck back in a alley way. Doors of both rooms wide open and the lights didn't work, the floor was covered in water, this was fixed but took time. I've stayed here alot but never had a room like this. I had a reservation too. I don't think they use this room for guests regularly.

It was very convenient because it was close to the airport. However, if you're new in town and visiting the city, I would pick somewhere closer to where the action is. Like near Santa Monica. It was pretty clean, and the staff was very polite. They let us keep our bags in the office until check in, and let us keep them there after check out until our flight. We didn't use the pool, but it looked decent. We had a great newly renovated room as well, so it was nice. The rooms were a bit damp. Possibly some humidity or mildew issues. We had to keep the fan constantly going. The continental breakfast was very cheap. Not much to choose from. Just some cereal and yogurt. Lots of flies all around the premise. A few in the room, but mostly outside the door and where the breakfast was located. Hair dryer was broken
Clean sheets. Coffee and continental breakfast. Room did not have any bad smell. Pick up to airport in morning every half hour. Hot water was hot. Close to airport. Airport van at pickup from airport took 1 hour 15 minutes. The door chain was broken in the room. Overall maintenance was poor.
Hard non-carpeted floors, recently repainted, clean throughout. Bathroom fixtures such as showers felt dated. Toilet flushing was loud.
This hotel is in an excellent location if you're going to be traveling around Los Angeles. I was in town with my wife to meet our new nephew for the first time, and this place was conveniently located near LAX and next to the Howard Hughes shopping center (a really nice place). It's right near the 405 freeway, which is what everyone in LA uses to go back and fourth from the beach to the inland bits (the valley). Anyhow: I prefer to stay at extended stay hotels when I travel, because I follow a really strict bodybuilding diet, and being able to cook and store my own food is mandatory. The location was excellent, and the room was decent (clean, small kitchen, but usable). Well, here's where this hotel got a bad review in my book: customer service. My wife and I went to check into the hotel at night time (around midnight), and when we got into the front lobby, we were greeted by another guest who told us he had already called the hotel, and was told they were sending an employee down to the front desk to check him in -- 30 minutes prior. After we waited for a while, the other guest went and called the hotel back again (using the hotel's built-in phone system), and was told that an employee was on the way down again. After waiting an additional 30 minutes (my wife and I had been here about 45 minutes by this point), I got on the phone myself and called the hotel. I was immediately transferred to a calling service where the person told me that they've been trying to contact the employee on duty, but nobody has been answering their phone. They told me that there was nothing they could do except hunt around for the employee myself, and then put my on hold for 15 minutes and didn't answer my questions. So... After I got put on hold by the calling service, I then started wandering through the hotel with the other guests (who were still waiting to check in), banging on the doors of the communal areas. After banging on the door of the main laundry room (on the first floor), we were hesitantly greeted by the front lobby person on staff who must have been sleeping or something in the laundry room >.> So the entire time we were out there in the lobby waiting, calling the hotel, etc., this person was in the laundry room sleeping (I assume). So frustrating. We finally went to check in, were given our key cards (about time), and were then told that even though we pre-booked the standard King room, they only had a smoking version available. If you're not a smoker, and have ever slept in a smoky room, you know what I'm talking about: it's gross. So, I asked the lady to please just change our room or something, and she gave us a queen room (fine: I figured I'd argue about it later, but by this time I was exhausted, frustrated, and half-awake). So then my wife move ALL OUR STUFF into our new room, get into bed, and what happens??? The fire alarm starts beeping... Apparently the batteries had died on the fire alarm, so it was beeping every 3 seconds, making it impossible to sleep. So then I called the front desk, and was told to move into another room. So I go downstairs again (thankfully the lady had stayed at the desk this time), get a new room key, and go to the new room. And guess what I find in the new room? It was the room I had originally reserved!!!! It was a normal king room with no smoking. Sigh. I was so incredibly frustrated, that after moving all my stuff out of the first room, and into the second room (which we had reserved originally anyhow), that I just completely gave up. This was easily the worst hotel experience of my life.
it was close to the airport, provided a free shuttle to airport and had free breakfast the outside was run down and frankly a little scary, however the inside was nice,very clean
Lots of restaurants, stores and junk food places close by. The maids don't dust the furniture, vacuum or clean under the microwave.
The distance to car rental from hotel was very convenient The area not so nice small parking lot and worst of all my door to the room did not lock.
I liked the location ...close to the airport. I didn't like the fact that there were no other facilities to use at the hotel (ie: indoor pool, exercise room, jacuzzi). My room's bathroom wasn't that clean.
It is conveniently located between the airport/car rental agencies and I405 that I needed to take the following morning. Breakfast included in the price.
