Pros: Nothing to like about this car rental company
Cons: schemers and crooks that trying to charge as much as possible for everything ( 85$ for insurance a day ) are you kidding me

Cons: At the drop off, there was no parking space to leave the truck. I had to call the local police station to figure out what to do.

Cons: waiting over an hour for a car that was supposed to be reserved, the agent couldn't speak english, the car we got did not have the xm radio we paid for. We had to go back to the airport and exchange the car after being on the phone for 2 hours trying to get the radio to work. Wasted half the day on that. We paid for the ez pass for tolls, it didn't work, so we ended paying another $150 in tolls from MA to VA.

Cons: Avis has moved to a location other than that listed on the kayak receipt. It is now 183 Cambridge St

Car ordered not the car received
Cons: What I ordered and paid for is not what was provided. The counter agent offered a take it or leaving it attitude. Very poor customer service. The manager was not available and was provided with a number to contact him which he never picked up. Don't care attitude, poor customer service culture and the employees don't even care. Called the main reservation number and the agent does not want to be bothered, he pointed me back to the office that provided me the car. Never again.

The line at 12:30 AM was so long we went to Enterp
Pros: Enterprise - shorter line. 10 min wait instead of 50-60 min wait.
Cons: Only 1 person working counter. Didn't even bother getting on line. Traveling with 2 kids, paid more to avoid ridiculous line and get out.

Lost & Found makes my day!!
Pros: I left a pair of sunglasses in my rental car at Boston Logan Airport (Budget) in a rush to catch a flight back to LA. After getting them on the phone the following afternoon, they texted me 2 pictures of my sunglasses after proving a brief description, and are now shipping them to me. I have to pick up the cost of shipping but it's well worth the price for receive such stellar service and not having to buy a new pair of Warby Parker's! Bravo Budget Rental Car, specifically to Chris at the Boston Logan Airport Lost & Found department.

Line was over 2 hours at Boston Logan
Cons: Upon arrival to the car rental terminal, at Boston Logan, it was easy to notice the line in front of Budget. No other company had a line close to it. with 2 kids, 2 backpacks, 2 car seats and 2 suitcases, there was no way I was going to wait in line. I priced out another company and found a car within $75 of my Budget reservation. I asked the customer in front of the Budgt line how long she had been waiting, and she said over 2 hours! My Brither in Law had an earlier flight and also had a reservation with Budget. He too saw the line and skipped his reservation. At the time he arrived he asked a Budget customer and the line was over 4 hours long. My mother in law flys into and rents cars from BOS 2 times a year, she said the Budget line is consistently like that every time.

2 Hour wait for pickup!!!!
Cons: The line for pickup was outrageously long. I waited for two hours. We all had reservations, so they knew we were coming - why didn't they have more employees there? It was very frustrating.

Pros: The car was very nice to drive, and it was very clean.
Cons: It was a bit expensive, and although it was an SUV it wasn't as big in the back as my Prius at home, so I felt a little gipped that I paid more for the room and didn't get it.

Car rental budget
Pros: The car was ready , clean and convenient. However price quoted was higher han bookng confirmation.
Cons: Price booked not given. Budget is owned by avis and they own payless along with a couple of others so hard to get a competitive price at logan even if you use kayak

Pros: Car had about 5K miles. Convenient downtown location.
Cons: Unfriendly staff at pickup. Slow return process in an office which did not have working air conditioning.

Cons: The location did not open on time, was understaffed, and the employee behind the counter mumbled and spoke too quickly to easily understand. This would be fine if locating the vehicle were less complicated. Returning the car was equally frustrating, as there was inadequate parking and (again) not enough staff.

Horrible pick up - ONE HOUR FIFTEEN MINUTES long l
Cons: Pickup at Boston Logan was a disaster. At 8:15am the line was over 100 people long. I had flown in on a triple-hop redeye from Los Angeles and my daughter and I were exhausted. I then had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes in line with 100 other furious customers. Every other rental car desk had 4-5 people max in line. If Budget is going to drive huge volumes of traffic by undercutting the competition then they should have the staff on hand to handle the volume. But they didn't. They had 20 check-out stations available and only 9 of them were manned. Infuriating. Thank God we didn't get there later though, but the time I was finished there were 200 people in line. Disaster.

Picking up in Boston was a hassle-- nerve racking
Pros: The car had the best lumbar support I've had in a car! It ran fine, and was user friendly as far as all the driving features.
Cons: We had to get a cab to go out of the airport to get it, and that process was cumbersome and confusing.

Prohibitive wait time to pick up my car
Cons: When I got there (Logan airport) the line was an hour long wait to pick up my car so I went somewhere else.

Very Expensive compare to skyscanner
Pros: I used to make flight bookings via Kayak, quite like it as the price is very good. Tried to use Kayak for car rentals, such a disappointment. I will not use Kayak again for anything in the future. As the brand itself now is all about grabbing the highest profit possible(not reasonable)
Cons: The price I was charged is too high, compare to skyscanner. It's my fault that I did not do research enough and assumed Kayak is good with flight bookings, then must be good for car rentals too. Also the car hired from the rental company had an engine prbilem, called to replace and waited forever. The service is just appalling, but price is just unacceptable.

2 hour wait to get the vehicle at Boston Logan
Pros: The fact that I didn't have to leave a credit card on file when I made the Budget reservation.
Cons: All the other car rental companies weren't busy so we left the Budget/Avis line and took our business elsewhere.

Pros: The compact Ford Focus was a good choice. Easy to drive, park and 35mpg overall. It was also brand new with only 10 miles on the odometer. Pickup and drop off was easy at downtown location as was getting there from airport via two stops on the MBTA. The total cost for this car was considerably less than the other companies I have previously rented with.

Understaffed - Went elsewhere...
Pros: No opportunity to like anything...
Cons: Arrived at the rental car center at 1100p. There were 40-50 people in the line at Budget, with only 3 staff working the counter. It was taking 7min-10min to process a customer. ... There werected only a couple people at the other agencies, so I went to Enterprise and was on my way in 10min - and the same car cost me $100 less than at Budget.

Pros: Easy pickup and dropoff. Best value for a one way rental. Car was relatively new.
Cons: Car was a little too small (Ford Fiesta -- had reserved a Ford Focus).

Cons: The Budget sign could be made a little more visible - all you see is Avis, so I ended up passing the parking garage you needed to enter in order to return the car.

Pros: Efficient and full size car was ready. No problem with return.
Cons: Only concern was that I discovered a small nick on the front passenger side of the car that was not caused by me but was not noted on the paperwork at rental. Wasn't a problem at all upon the return.

Pros: I loved the car and it was easy to pick up.
Cons: When I was dropping it off, I was confused about how the parking garage worked and instead of helping me in a calm manner, a budget employee gave me off the shoulder rushed directions and then yelled at me when I went the wrong way and then screamed at me from across the garage. Not a great experience or good way to calm my already risen nerves.

Renting off airport
Pros: I got a great rate for 5 days.Part of the reason for that great rate was unknowingly booking off site. I was annoyed at myself for this error imagining the wasted time hauling my self my wife and my luggage to some remote suburb. Turns out, not so much. 4 rental agencies have offices below a parking structure by the aquarium T stop, right on the water downtown, just 2 quick stops on the blue line. What I thought would be a pain turned out to be a bonus. I stuck the bags in the car and was free to strollc around Boston have a cup of cofee,stretch my legs along the waterfront after a long flight it was a great break. The bonus was not paying the sky high parking rates downtown for a nice break.
Cons: Make sure the office is open when you plan to arrive, they keep normal office hours. If you show up at 10 PM you are going to spend the night in a hotel.

incompetent and unfriendly
Cons: they were unable/unwilling to book on my european credit card (which i have used before for car rental), and didnt accept any US debit cards, so i had to leave this place without a car. in the process of figuring this out (which took forever), i had to spell my home address for about 5 times. went off to the next enterprise, and sat behind the wheel 10 min later. never again.

Pros: The check-in process was the most amazing car rental experience I've ever had. Quick. Efficient. Great customer service.
Cons: The car wasn't the cleanest when I got it, honestly I may be picky, but the center console had some liquid spills that weren't wiped up and the car smelled like pot. I don't mind the smell but others might.

Pros: Easy leaving from the airport. They did forget about me and the clerk had to remind them to get the car, but the clerk was very nice to my kids and I hardly noticed.
Cons: I think I was swindled at the return site. The taker of the car told me a price way more than should be for a rental of less than 24 hours, then "dropped" the price for me to something a little more than expected but way less than what he initially said. He said he could do that for "me". He didn't know me. Funny thing... My husband used them last month and he said a guy there asked him about the gas level and my husband explained that he didn't have time to fill it back to the prior level, but he said he could fill it for him. My husband gave him $10 and he said the tank was "full". Almost by magic. I paid a lot more to have my tank filled for less than 24 hours. Very suspicious. I'll never use them again. Also, I went through ONE $3.50 toll but was charged 10 days later for $7.00. I think I paid for the prior or next person's toll. I would have paid cash otherwise. I will never recommend this company. They are crooked.

Cons: poor customer service rude staff unclear directions about parking drop off spot. Unprofessional lazy employees that wanted me to pay them and do their job for them at the 110 clarendon garage location Boston. They need a customer service workshop or course or need an attitude adjustment.

Pros: The car we received was fine
Cons: Check in at Boston Logan Budget desk was really poor. This was a prepaid booking and upon approaching the counter I was told that the class of car I had booked was not available. The class was a 'standard - Chrysler 200c or similar'. I was told that we could be upgraded to a small 4x4 which I thought, okay fine. There was no mention of cost for this upgrade until signing the T&Cs at the end of the booking on the machine that I noticed it was an additional $5 a day. When I asked about this, the lady said she could put me in a 2 door car without any upgrade cost. That would mean I would be receiving a car below the grade I had booked but paying the same. She would not upgrade for free so I had to pay the $5 a day more for this larger car. I realise the cost is minimal but I would like to think the principle is that if the car you book & prepay for is out of stock, you get upgraded to the next size up free of charge. Not rushing to book with budget again, that's for sure when there's so many options in that one terminal. Disappointing and rude service.
