Cons: Made reservation for 6pm but this is also the time they close. Being able to choose this time should not even be an option if it is when they close. Also, I called to let them know that driving from downtown Dallas at 5pm, I may not make it there by 6pm, and they were not willing to accommodate and wait a few minutes. Instead, he just stated he will be gone at 6pm. When I picked up the car, it hadn't been cleaned on the inside or outside either. Also, he tried to tell me they don't accept debit cards for the security deposit and I didn't have the amount available on my credit card, so I almost wasn't able to get the car. Fortunately, he went ahead and tried the debit card anyway and it worked. Although, he should be educated on things like that since it is his job to know. Neither of the guys were rude, just not particularly friendly.

Pros: The gentleman who helped me was nice and apologetic.
Cons: The car wasn't the one I reserved. I quickly realized once driving it smelled like stale smoke and body odor, but I had to get to a meeting 3 hours away and could not turn around to exchange the vehicle. I ended up stinking at my meeting. They could not credit me since it was pre-paid through a third part vendor, which did not sit well. They also did not have a night drop meaning instead of just dropping the car off, I had to rush back to turn it in before they closed or be late to work the next morning.

Wrong Hertz, twice the cost!
Cons: The reservation was made at the wrong Hertz - miles from Love Field where I was arriving on SW Airlines, and the cost wound up being $160 rather than the $80 estimate I had been quoted.
An awful experience.

Pros: The car was fine.
Cons: We had to rent a car at the airport after our flight was cancelled. It cost a small fortune and we were given incorrect hours of operation and location for the drop off, so we spent two hours driving to return the car the next morning.. We were then given conflicting information from customer service about our charges.

Pros: People were nice, no hassles, free upgrade and extra driver thanks to AAA and Gold Membership.
Cons: The Rental Car center at DFW is quite a ways from one side of the airport, so make sure you gps the actual location, and don't depend on RENTAL CAR RETURN signs at the airport.

Hertz made it right
Pros: I mistakenly booked my car to be picked up at a different location. Kayak didn't make my rental pickup location clear to me. Nevertheless Hertz quickly fixed things up and after 2-3 minutes my issue was resolved and I was on my way!

Pros: Excellent customer service. Great car, great deal.
Cons: Car was dirty and smelled. I did not notice till later when driving with windows closed. I had left with windows open since it was a nice day out.

Pros: The employees were able to see that damage to the trunk was old; there was rust around the dent and scratches so I was not held responsible for damage I didn't do, even though I had no proof. Since the employee in Ft L. had not noted the gas level either, I was not charged for any gas. I was enormously relieved that he employees could determine that I had not damaged the trunk; their honesty and problem solving was most appreciated!
Cons: Because the employee in Ft. L. had not noted the damage, at first it looked like I was going to be held responsible for damage I didn't do. The situation was quite tense at first. I've learned to be more thorough in checking things myself and not so trusting of and reliant on your staff.

Was not allowed to rent the vehicle with my debit
Cons: I was not allowed to rent the vehicle with my debit card because I did not have a Texas drivers license. My boyfriend was willing to use his credit card to rent the vehicle for me but was not allowed to because he does not have a drivers license due to medical condition. All the documentation that is required to rent I had, proof of residence etc, to use my debit card. And what's even worse is when I book car rentals it is always through enterprise here in Florida. That information is not disclosed and I was unable to travel and see dallas as planned because my transportation was limited. They did not pick up from the airport because the airport has a rental place there. Not informed of this stipulation.

Enterprise Silent on Pick Up and Drop Off
Cons: 1) The fact that I had to take an Uber from Love Field to the Enterprise location. 2) The fact when I asked whether I could drop the car at Love Field I was told "Yes" but upon reading the Agreement it stated $39 drop off fee would be assessed. Why this was not disclosed was beyond me.
