Very close to downtown attractions in a unique building. Very few "extras" provided without cost.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Dirty, dirty, dirty...stained carpets, broken tiles, torn upholstery on furniture, moldy shower curtain - GROSS!
Fantastic location near the Q and Progressive Field, plus tons of great places to eat all in walking distance. Everything else to see is a very short drive away! The room was comfy, and the staff was always friendly. The only thing I wasn't too happy about involved cleanliness, specifically the towels and sheets/blankets. A few towels had some sort of dirt on them (though luckily there were plenty to use instead), and I noticed what looked to be like oil/grease stains on my blankets. Really the only negative thing about the entire experience, definitely could have been worse!
bed location DIRTY BATHROOM-HAIR EVERYWHERE valet took 8 dollars from car no breakfast 26 dollars to park-above hotel costs coffee creamer in in room coffee curdled
The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Ice only on even floors
Typical Hampton inn amenities...Everything I have come to generally expect. Clean and comfortable overall. Breakfast provided--but could have used a bit more variety in hot food options. First...Parking. Granted, I'm used to downtown areas, but I had no idea that the only parking options here were private surface lots and garages, or paying for hotel valet parking. I guess I'm just used to a hotel parking garage or lot of some sort with permitted or validated parking. On the plus side, the valet rate I was charged was a flat $24 for the entire stay. Not terrible. I didn't go in and out, just walked where I needed to go for the most part. Second...The staff. For the most part they were friendly, but I arrived in the very early AM and the night attendant almost seemed like they would rather not deal with checking me in (sorry--our system is in the middle of an update...You're going to have to wait 15 minutes before I can check you in). Third...Overall condition of the property. Not bad, but definitely shows signs of wear and tear and could use a good refresh. Fourth...The room. It was a nice enough room, but was equipped as an accessible room with an adjoining room, neither of which I had asked for. The bench in the shower could not be completely moved out of the way, leaving the only options to either fold it down and use it or deal with it leaning out from the wall slightly. A clip to keep it folded against the wall would have been helpful. Finally...Noise. It should have tipped me off when one of the amenities in the bathroom was a set of earplugs. I was given no warning about this. Things were quiet...at first...until sirens started blaring overnight at street level down below. I was clear up on the 6th floor and could still hear them. The last night I was there (remember the adjoining room I mentioned) the group in the adjoining room was either very loud, or this set of adjoining doors had the worst noise isolation characteristics in the world. Probably a combination of both. I finally had to call the front desk and ask them to send someone up. I hate to be "that guy" but this Hampton really let me down overall.
Staff and facility was excellent
Room booked via kayak was not room given upon checkin. Air conditioning did not work. Hotel charged my card $25 fee without authorization or advisement. When I called to inquire I was advised it was displayed at the counter. I told the woman that the man never said a word to me about it, regardless of whether it was displayed or not I should still be advised at the time he took my card. She refused to see it that way and transferred me to a voicemail where I left a message for a manager. It has been nearly a week and I have still not received a call back. Ac didn't work. Poor customer service. Hotel was doing remodel so was dirty and run down.
It was very clean abd the staff were very friendly.

Stayed two nights in July 2013. Very clean rooms. Accessible location. Tower City mall is at connected and you don't have to go outside to get to the Horseshoe casino. Nice facility and the staff was very warm and friendly. Will make this my Cleveland hotel of choice when I am in town. I've stayed in major hotels across the USA for many years and this is at the top of my list for excellence. You get what you pay for.
Our room was the cheapest, on the 8th floor, sounds high but the lobby is on the 6th and the 7th is meeting rooms and lounge / restaurant. We could hear lounge music at night while in the bathroom / tub but it wasn't terrible in the sleeping area. What impressed me most is that our room already had the crib set up - a real crib (small size but not a pack-n-play) and they had included for the first night anyway baby shampoo and outlet covers - it was so thoughtful. She loved walking to and fro around the room and looking out the window at the cars below. There was a mini bar but I would have preferred just a standard mini fridge so that we could keep our water and apple juice cool without worrying about my daughter getting into the alcohol. The valets were very nice if a bit pushy - we ended up street parking because our car is not very expensive and Cleveland parking is free on weekends rather than pay $*each time we come or go from the hotel. The hotel provides a map to go jogging and water bottles when you return - a nice idea and the hotel is attached to the same mall as the Marriott Renaissance which has a nice lobby fountain. I asked the front desk for a map of how to get to the botanical gardens and instead she printed off a mapquest directions with no map - we followed them but they were not right - a street did not exist and we would have been better off just driving down Euclid and watching for signs to the garden to get to the wedding rehearsal on time. The shoeshine was nice.
Our check-in was fine. Upon arrival to the room it was uneventful which is less than what I would expect from the Ritz. My wife and I live just outside of Cleveland and I wanted to pamper her with an impeccable stay at the Ritz and all the ammenities and services which are to accompany a stay at the Ritz. Upon returning to our room, we opened the refrigerator to poor a Grey Goose mixed drink only to find that the seemingly sealed bottle was previously consumed and filled with water. After calling room service, rather than a sentiment of surprise and apology, found this to be routine and simply offered a replacement. For starters, I am amazed that anyone would do this. I am also concerned of the source of the replacement water. I cringe when I think that at the Ritz, I consumed an unknown substance which could have been toilet water for all I know. After 30 minutes, there was no promised call from the server and no replacement bottles of Grey Goose. I called again and he assured me I would receive a phone call. Clearly the Ritz understaffed even though they charged me rate which gave no indication of limited staff and service. The server was great, simply unable to service the entire hotel solo. Fast forward-I am home now to find that my one night stay has been billed to my credit card atleast 4 times on separate days! Of course accounting is closed and no one else is cross-trained to correct over the weekend. I had to cancel my credit card to prevent over $1000 being charged to my card without authorization (I believe that's fraud).
The room was very comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was good. Staff was also very pleasant and great view from our room. I didn't like that it didn't have a pool.
Lots of construction next door which provided lots of loud noise. Very hard to sleep and relax.
Very close to Progressive Field. Decided to stay here because of ability to park car during 2 day stay and be close enough to walk everywhere. Only a few blocks from Progressive field, restaurants, bars, as well as sights in downtown Cleveland. Had an excellent stay. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were quiet. Shower had very low pressure. TV remote did not work and was stuck on the Hotel Movie Preview channel. Was trying to check local weather before going for a walk before a game but remote did not work, and there were no change channel buttons on the TV itself.
Location Bedding had stains on it, full-length mirror looked like someone had poured coffee down the bottom of it, stains on everything- carpet, ironing board, comforter. No in-room fridge, room service closed early (only have it until 11pm, but no one answered the phone even before that at 10:50 pm). Staff was courteous, location was great; but completely unimpressed with the cleanliness of our room (or lack thereof).
