No Car Available at Airport
Pros: Not a thing.
Cons: Got to the airport caught the Airport Shuttle as directed, no Car at Hertz Airport location. Was directed to a place one hour and 40 minutes away, they said they could give us a car for 700 for a week. Walked out caught the shuttle back to the Airport...finally got a car from Enterprise and got to our hotel room at Midnight. Never again will I book a car on Kayak

Cons: I was told to go to the airport because they did not have any cars. The airport is 30mins away. Once I arrived at the airport I was told that my reservation would not be honored. I had to return to the first location who all of a sudden had a car to rent. The first location promised me that I would be give a free day for the inconvenience that was not honored. The whole rental was a nightmare. The gas tank meter did not work so I was never sure of the gas level. Once I returned the car I had to wait another 20 mins while they made sure the gas meter was indeed broke.

Car reservation at wrong location
Cons: I entered Philadelphia International for the pick-up and drop-off location. When I arrived, Hertz informed me the location at the reservation was 35 miles away and they wouldn't honor the price. I had the choice of going 35 miles (without a car) or paying an additional $200 for the rental. I heard the manager on the phone saying this happens frequently! Nothing was done to satisfy me and I would guess nothing was done to fix the problem in the future. Then, the manager sent the clerk back out to give me the bad news. At least the car was nice.

Felt like a scam
Pros: The manager and staff on duty went outside the rules Hertz to get us a car for the price Kayak had booked for us.
Cons: The pickup address was the Philadelphia train station, and we were at the airport. When I called Hertz company I was told that I'd need a new reservation through them, which was more than twice what we would have paid had we been at the train station. We had no idea how to get to the train station. We were told that the hertz office there was closed for the night, but if we could be there at 7:00 in the morning, we would be able to pick up the car before our reservation was cancelled. It really felt like we were being extorted, because Hertz would not simply change the address.
